  1. It's crazy but it's only three I think. And one of those is a interstate merge. Our neighbor flys out of Indy because it's faster to drive than to fly there.
  2. They took the cats when they towed the car. I tried my best to give them water and food, but neither would eat or drink. Not good when a cat won't eat roasted chicken.
  3. It was definitely a crazy experience. What really scared me was when she said there was a child in the car. I knew immediately there was something wrong with her but I was really afraid at what I was going to find in the back of the car.
  4. So after dinner and drinks with friends, I was about to grab the wife for bed and the dogs go nuts. Now we live pretty far out so it's usually deer or squirrel but this time they were really ticked off. So I look out and there is a car in our driveway and an elderly lady at our fence. It's late, about 9:30, the gate is locked and she's yelling for help. I go out cautiously looking around and she says she left a party at her nephews where there were drugs and someone put a child in her car. Now sheriff is already on the way but I'm concerned about a child being hurt or something so while the wife watches my back I go and check the vehicle. There are two cats in the back that look in very bad shape. She is very surprised then starts telling me where she was trying to go and I don't recognize it. Then I realize she is talking about places in Michigan. My wife is from there and confirms she is talking about Michigan. After the Sheriff get there we figure out she is supposed to be in a mental hospital in Michigan. My wife managed to help talk her into the patrol car and a tow truck just picked up the car. It's crazy because we all figure she's just been driving all the way from Battlecreek Michigan. It's also crazy I just routed my house to there and after Indy it's literally like three turns. To end up all the way in the boonies of Tennessee from a mental hospital in Michigan at a house on the end of a country road where another person from Michigan lives is pretty dog gone crazy. I'm never going to sleep tonight.
  5. Yea I tried to make a couple 9s work but we're still somewhat noticeable. For any other occasion my 10mm is fine.
  6. Crazy stuff. That is the neighborhood we just moved from.
  7. I just got a Bodyguard 380 and love it. The OP might want a manual safety for the same reason I did. I needed something to fill a very small need for a very short amount of time but it may get knocked around in my pocket a bit. I just couldn't risk it even in a holster.
  8. Great info here guys, thanks. I never researched 380 much due to the fact I really never have considered carrying one. There is just one certain time I need a really really small gun. By the way I put about a hundred rounds through this little Bodyguard and love it.
  9. I picked up the Barnes when I got the gun. Also picked up some Liberty civil defense. I hear good things about Cor Bond DPX too.
  10. So I bought a S&W Bodyguard 380 for light carry and I am looking for some ammo suggestions. Let me know if any of you guy have any experience with the 380 round.
  11. I think this is a record keeping problem as much as anything. A US citizen has a pretty good criminal and mental health background records, not great by any means, but good. A non US citizen on the other hand may have very little if,any at all. It would be very hard to find any history of felony type convictions as well as cross referencing them with felony level convictions in our own criminal justice system that were not considered the same in theirs. There is also the history of mental illness in which we all know well enough we can barely keep up with that here.
  12. It applies to rights we were born with as citizens of the United States of America. For others that have entered this country illegally, from anywhere, it does not apply. As should no other rights of an American citizen apply. The right of the 2nd amendment can also be revoked for an American citizen that has committed certain crimes resulting in felony conviction. It was once a great right of passage to become an American citizen, I've had four friends who were all brothers from Mexico along with their father do it and though it was not easy they were very proud to have done it. I do not understand why many people feel that because someone just crosses the border into this country they automatically receive all the rights of a U.S. Citizen.
  13. Oh WOW!!!! I'm super jealous right now. That is one heck of a score.
  14. Good advice DaveS. Not having food outside the house will help keep the coyote from getting so close.
  15. We haven't had cable for a while. We use a Roku 3 with Hulu,Amazon, and Netflix. It's been great and we only have 4mb internet connection.
  16. That is perfect, thanks. I'm a little hesitant to buy a more expensive one. If I like it I will look at some higher end ones.
