  1. Most of the arguments are about criminals buying across state lines and trransporting. You don't think that would help the argument on the state to state level?
  2. Just a thought and wanting opinions, What if... a "bi partisan compromise" would preserve private sales but require fun show participant sellers be flf and limit it to carry permit holder to trade with other carry permit holders will bill of sale and make all other private citizens go through the back ground check process Just like at a local gun dealers establishment. Would that take away part of the lefts main point on argument about gun show loopholes or open a new can of worms?
  3. Worried and what the left will think is the last thing on my mind when I read this. I feel so bad for the 5 year old and the mental/ emotional scars that he will carry. My prayers are with him and the family
  4. P O S!!! Why is always them against the "NRA"? They totally disregurd that the NRA represents us( a lot more than the 10% as they claim) and is not just a radical entity.
  5. You maybe right because I do not know you personally but it says a lot about character when you try to unselfishly aid a fellow to spark a lost passion.
  6. GOOD FOR YOU!!! If I had any 22's I would match your offer. We need more people like Raoul in this world and help us stand up, stick by one another, and be strong through these hard times instead of taking advantage of situations.
  7. I received his book " I lived to tell it all" back in 97 for a birthday present and shortly after I was working as a stage hand in Nashville., had the opportunity to meet him and he signed my book with a Happy Birthday as we talked for a good while. A very great, down to earth, approachable and humble man and will be truly missed. A man amongst men R.I.P. Mr. Jones
  8. I can not help you with any of your questions Frodo but welcome to the community.
  9. lol a walking stick! Classic! Ban spoons! lol He gets my vote this mid term just cause he told Piers Morgan to leave the country.
  10. I went to Australia twice two years ago because of my job. Both times I stayed for 3 months each, one stay was in Sidney and the other in Melbourne. The local news there was filled with crime stories just as any larger cities here and in my opinion their residence is being held captive. Car Jackings, home invasions, and muggings all leading the way. Instead of individuals committing crimes, they have their problems with small gangs and street hoodlums that ban together and out number their victims in areas where a person should have the right to feel their safest. I.E their homes, cars, city parks, the beach... Yes, the weapons of choice are conventional as in bats, police battons, brass knuckles... and in most cases that I heard about, one of the attackers had a gun. No shots were fired because there was no need to. The victims were out numbered, under armed and at the mercy of a man at gun point or just plain beaten down. So yes, the statistics say gun violence is down but if you you never have to fire a shot in order to take what you want, even though you still have a gun or never have a chance or choice to fire back in self defense I would say that would cloud the statistics a bit.
  11. I was hoping for Fluker because he starded at every position on the O line but Warmack is a BEAST! No more excuses for C.J.
  12. ... the polymers do not go for as much as the alloys. I would pay $550 for a used P 01 but not new P 07 although that's probably what they list for.
  13. I saw a used one at On target in Murfreesboro a couple of weeks ago for $425
  14. I used to be on the band wagon of hateing all polymer hand guns but the M&P's have opened up a whole new world to me. Although I love all of my CZ's and the Sig's I have owned, my M&P f/s .40 is still the favorite in my stable. I still haven't went with the Glock or Sig in polymer but I would put my M&P, XD, and even my PPQ up against any alloy frame as far as accuracy and recoil... 1911 not included.
  15. You fly what ever flag that you want as long as the American flag is on top. (and as long as you try to wear orange on Saturdays this fall) Diversity is what makes us great. Once again welcome and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE to our country.
  16. Welcome to Tennessee! What makes this state so great is that we won't hold it against you for flying the wrong flag! GO BIG ORANGE! As far as looking to find a good place to purchase a firearm, informative insight, or just general fellowship.... you have found it. This is the best forum in the state and is filled with helpful people with some amazing deals and beautiful collections...most of the time. I haven't meet a guy that I wouldn't deal with again yet.

My American Bulldog is a nightmare to all toys but I have good luck with the Kong toys.
  18.     First off, I would like to say how much I appreciate you gusto and passion in the matter . I noticed on your profile that you do not have any millitary or law enforcement which is a shame because you would have made a fine soldier or as in my case a Marine.  Unfortunatly, as valuble as soldiers are in this battle, what we really need are Generals. I also noticed that one of your past times are reading, and it shows, you can articulate your words far better than I and I have truly injoyed reading your quotes. Check out the book SUN TZU The Art of War and them maybe you will find some reasoning behind some of the the statements that I have made.   A war is won with the mind, not the fist. Just like today, an arguement can be made that our " leaders" did not do enough to protect our 2nd amendment rights but the final result was a victory for us. Thank you again for the stimulating debate and stay strong.
  19. I feel they are thinking about not having there ass handed to them in the next elections, mid terms or 2016. They have to turn the media around and by supporting Obamacare is the first step. We all know it is and or will be a complete failure but if they never supported it it would have been the " greatest accomplishment that we stood in the way of". It will be a huge topic of debate and a possitive for Republicans in 2016! The same year we kill it. The Latino population is here to stay and we will need that vote. The Republicans are being pro active and trying to stop the bleeding from the gashing we have took from the liberal mainstream and media and offering an olive branch to that community. Kudos to them. I can almost bet that there are number of Lations that are able to vote and want to be American that really give a damn if the illegal ciminals stay or go as long as they feel that their voice is heard. Secureing the border is first and formost and if we have them in on our side and advocate for it, the ones that do not want to be Americans will go home because they will feel rejected from their own. That is the second step of turning the media. The third step is the Black vote and the liberals who want to vote Black cause they are "cool" if they can tell their frinds that they did. There will not be a Black candidate in 2016 so the race card cannot be played and once again, I will bet that the Democratic candidate WILL NOT get 95% of thier vote if they vote at all. Do you really thimk that minorities are going to vote for Hillary? She is the scarriest looking, most dishonest looking white woman I have ever seen. NOTHING AGAINST ANYONE OF ANY RACE OR COLOR! I just feel that all was blinded by a false profit and his lies. The truth will prevail... as long as we can stop giving the liberal media ammunition. I dont feel that most of the Republican Party is being weak, they are just wearing sheeps clothing.   It is like arguing with a female... if you raise your voice to match theirs, no matter how right and rational you are, it is you who is an irrational jerk and WILL LOSE!. Sometimes it is easier to say yes dear and do what you do.
  20. Nice find! I have been looking for the Scout.
  21. Epidemic, Compromise and Bipartisan, 90% of 10% is 1% x 2 divided by 3 carry the 4 comes to 75% and that makes my opinion 100% right. Its simple math people! So it is time to pay your fair share... Bla Bla Bla Does all of this irritate everyone else as much as it does me?
  22. In my uneducated opinion... Figure a 100 or a 1000 people (? ) may play with it in that manner while it is in the store before it is sold. A person who owns it probably wont do it that many times during the entire ownership. New, higher end pistols are put together "tighter" and triggers are "tuned". The small amount of damper it takes to take the round from the mag and the small amount of buffering from the round entering the barrel and the small amount of soft brass may be just enough to keep a tight tolerance gun from banging the extractor, hood of the barrel, the sear... while loaded. Its like dry firing sort of, I guess... not going to ruin the function of your firearm if done a few times but you wouldn't want to do it 1000 times or more. I guess just good practice for a ffl to a bunch of people who may have never touch a firearm before and saving the finish from scratches and dings for experienced people who will look for such things before they buy. Plus its just kind of rude to do that to someone else's firearm. As I say... my uneducated opinion so I would also to here someone else's opinion on it.
  23. I have a Shield .40 and a cheap uncle mikes neoprene is my favorite iwb.
