  1. Terrified, actually. I honestly think if he tries to do anything as far as banning firearms, there will be a revolt. Mark my words.
  2. Lol, man thats cruel. But honestly man that could have ended badly, I hope she knows now not to play "zombie apocalypse" on someone fully expecting it to happen one day!
  3. Today has actually been pretty decent for us. But I know what you mean - when it rains it pours.
  4. And for those that dont want to look it up: "And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months."
  5. I've used US Bank for awhile now and am pretty happy with them.
  6. We did that for years, charged $25 bucks for it - and it just got to where we didnt have any room for them anymore. That, and the fact of people getting pissed off when we wouldnt consign their gun for the outrageous prices that they wanted to put on them. I'm all for as loosing as little money as possible, hell even making a profit, but say $600 on a glock because it has extended buttons and a homemade grip reduction is stupid. Even if it is consignment, everyone wont know that and a crazy price on a gun reflects badly on us as a store.
  7. Its that time of the year. People are left and right coming in to try to sell us their guns as if we have a infinite amount of money. We do get some good deals, and some of the situations people have are quite sad, and I feel sorry for them as I've been in positions of having to sell off my guns in the past to pay for bills. Then there was this guy today. /rant on He comes in, wants to sell us back a Glock 19 he bought from us (supposedly, never was able to verify). We ask him how much he wants out of it, and he states that he wants $500 for it. Now, dealer cost on a new 19 is $440, so there is no way we're going to give him $500 for a used gun. We told him that fact tactfully, and that we were really bought out at the moment due to the legion of other people selling us their guns as well, and really wasnt interested in purchasing it unless it was just something we couldnt refuse. Most people normally would understand that and move on to the next shop, but not this guy, apparently. He gets all mouthy, and starts spounting off how Dennis would do it for him, and usually only deals with Dennis anyway (never seen him in here before). I will say at this point we're getting a little irritated, but tell him that in the years working here we've never seen Dennis - while a kind and generous man, normally - give someone that much for it, and for a used Glock would be somewhere in the $375 range, and that it would prolly go out on the shelf for $425 as used guns typically must be lower in price than their new counterparts for people to buy them. Apparently he didnt like that, told us we just lost a customer, and on the way out told the guy that he was dealing with they were a prick - which rightfully agrivated him. We told him not to let the door hit him on the ass on the way out, to which he told the guy to come outside and see if he would say that, and left. /rant off Now, my question is simply this: the hell is wrong with people? Why can't they take something so simple as "No" for what it is and go about their way? It's not like we owe them to buy a gun from them for more than it's worth to us just because. And Phillip, I'm sorry if this guy goes down the street to you and and tries the same thing. BONUS POINTS::: Guess who delt with the customer! (wasnt me)
  8. I think I just become even more stupid by reading that. Reminds me of a guy that used to come into the shop... forget his name, but he had an AD at home one day - shooting himself in the leg - and blamed it on some "Guys of color" that broke into his house and he fought them off. Oh yeah, this guy also always wore the obligatory thigh rig with a Glock lol
  9. Unfortunately my dobe would have wanted to lick him to death. Now my min-pin on the other hand, everyone is scared of him - he thinks he is my dobe's size, and if he doesnt know you you're dinner for him lol
  10. Whatever it is, I'm sure that it's for "peaceful" purposes.
  11. What area do you live in? There's generally several reputable places to take your course in any given area... almost.
  12. I love mine but I rarely shoot it. I bought it more as a novelty when they first came out. Think the original model has been discontinued though.
  13. I missed the debate last night due to going to my wife's college graduation. Looking forward to the Palin debate much more though, not missing that one! She needs WAY more camera time than she's getting, but I'm assuming that they are having her prepare in advance for her debate with Biden. She's been turning down alot of interviews with the media, and havent seen much of her otherwise. So hopefully she'll come to that debate with plenty of ammo. (pun intended)
  14. Methinks that the next meet & greet (giving that it is not on a day that I'm at work!) I'm going to randomly scream "CONTACT!" and see how many people start rolling around...
  15. Cost is $75. Time is Oct. 18th, 9am-4:30pm EDIT: Limit of 30 people.

  17. Its amazing to me how I learn about things going on at my place of business from TGO and not from around here . I'll see what info I can dig up and post it regarding time/date/what you need to bring/what is going to be covered.
  18. Perhaps, but this is a guy that has put the blame for all of society's ills on video games. Not the kid's parents, not the ESRB rating system, not the companies that sell M rated games to minors - no its the game manufacturers fault. It's equivalent to a liberal blaming guns on gun violence. Everytime there is a shooting, he's always the first one on CNN or Fox News crying about how its obviously the perversion of children through video games. This is also a man who submitted gay porn to the FL court system during his disbarment trial because he believed that the entire Florida judiciary system was in cahoots with a Miami attorney that opporated a gay website . It's about time he finally got whats coming to him - and ordered to pay court fees of $44,000. Think when I get home I'm gonna play some Call of Duty 4 in his honor.... err I mean dishonor.
  19. The day all of us gamer geeks have hoped and dreamed would become a reality! Jack Thompson is officially disbarred! MWHAHAHAHA See you in hell douchebag! http://kotaku.com/5054772/jack-thompson-disbarred

  21. He's doin ok, its hard for him to breathe, and the doctors are making him practice breathing into this little meter to prevent Pneumonia from setting in. Other than that he's bored out of his mind. It happened on Saturday around 4:30, he left the shop and was driving down 41 and a 80 year old woman pulled litterally right out in front of him coming out of a gas station.
  22. Personally I've never seen a manufacturer demand it to be turned in for warranty work. Usually they just ask for the serial # when you call them and whats wrong with it.
  23. Unfortunately I'm in charge until he gets back, so yes .
  24. Don't know if anyone has heard, but Dennis had a wreck on his bike on Saturday. He's fine, other than the 5 broken ribs and shoulder bone - but he will more than likely be out of the shop for awhile until he recoups. Everyone's prayers would be appreciative though while he recovers, he's in alot of pain.
