  1. It was only a matter of time!
  2. He has GAMO - Air Rifles - Whisper Series - Whisper Deluxe I'm fairly sure.
  3. Received this via email from a friend, thought I'd pass it along - snopes.com has it verified as true! ----------------------- Look carefully at the B-17 and note how shot up it is - one engine dead, tail, horizontal stabilizer and nose shot up.. It was ready to fall out of the sky. (This is a painting done by an artist from the description of both pilots many years later.) Then realize that there is a German ME-109 fighter flying next to it. Now read the story below. I think you'll be surprised...... Charlie Brown was a B-17 Flying Fortress pilot with the 379th Bomber Group at Kimbolton, England. His B-17 was called 'Ye Old Pub' and was in a terrible state, having been hit by flak and fighters. The compass was damaged and they were flying deeper over enemy territory instead of heading home to Kimbolton. After flying the B-17 over an enemy airfield, a German pilot named Franz Steigler was ordered to take off and shoot down the B-17. When he got near the B-17, he could not believe his eyes. In his words, he 'had never seen a plane in such a bad state'. The tail and rear section was severely damaged, and the tail gunner wounded. The top gunner was all over the top of the fuselage. The nose was smashed and there were holes everywhere. Despite having ammunition, Franz flew to the side of the B-17 and looked at Charlie Brown, the pilot. Brown was scared and struggling to control his damaged and blood-stained plane. BF-109 pilot Franz Stigler B-17 pilot Charlie Brown.. Aware that they had no idea where they were going, Franz waved at Charlie to turn 180 degrees.. Franz escorted and guided the stricken plane to, and slightly over, the North Sea towards England. He then saluted Charlie Brown and turned away, back to Europe. When Franz landed he told the CO that the plane had been shot down over the sea, and never told the truth to anybody. Charlie Brown and the remains of his crew told all at their briefing, but were ordered never to talk about it. More than 40 years later, Charlie Brown wanted to find the Luftwaffe pilot who saved the crew. After years of research, Franz was found. He had never talked about the incident, not even at post-war reunions. They met in the USA at a 379th Bomber Group reunion, together with 25 people who are alive now - all because Franz never fired his guns that day. (L-R) German Ace Franz Stigler, artist Ernie Boyett, and B-17 pilot Charlie Brown. When asked why he didn't shoot them down, Stigler later said, I didn't have the heart to finish those brave men. I flew beside them for a long time. They were trying desperately to get home and I was going to let them do that.. I could not have shot at them. It would have been the same as shooting at a man in a parachute. Both men died in 2008. snopes.com: Charlie Brown

    Sig P238's!

We finally got our first shipment in. I'm contemplating swiping one for myself and giving it a go on the range, but havent quite talked myself into it. Anyone snagged one yet that has shot it? I'm extremely interested to see if I need to replace my Kel-tec. BTW, shameless plug for my listing: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/guns-leather/22231-sig-p238s-stock.html
  8. That's typically the case. That's why all the ingredients they use to cook stuff with on the Food Network typically all have a fake label or the true brand covered up with a sticker or something.
  9. Shoot it until it breaks. Then toss it in suitable body of water.
  10. Used to play CoD4 on the PC quite a bit, but been stuck playing other things lately. CoD5 was ok, but just wasnt the same. Prolly because of the lack of Infinity Ward.

    Police vs EMS

Post count +1 Seriously though, I too am kind of sick of the LEO hate here. I've seen and known bad ones. I've known alot more good ones. At the end of the day, if you're willing to put on a uniform that's a freaking bullseye in some neighborhoods, and try to make a difference - I will treat you with respect. Until I'm given me a reason not to, in some rare cases.
  12. This made me think of: I got about 20 seconds into the vid and had to turn it off. I'm not offended by language, but I dont much care to listen to a guy drop a F-bomb every nanosecond with nothing much else to say other than that.
  13. Hah, I want a wood grain glock for my coffee table.
  14. I love me some Little Caesers too... I miss the one we had in Goodlettsville =/. Course that's been like... what... 10 years now since it's been gone?
  15. "Sporting" firearms in the UK are not illegal as far as I understand, but they have to be kept at the club or range that he is a member of under lock & key - correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not at the shop today, but I'll check on whether you can purchase one with a F1 or not - I don't run into it enough to know off the top of my head. Some of the other dealers here will likely be able to tell you for sure though before I'm able to! Good to have you here, and welcome to TGO!
  16. I have a food biz question too! Why does Applebee's exist? Is it something that was started by the food industry as a joke? Anything I've ever had there has just been flavored and sometimes unflavored grease.
  17. I'm not a safe aficionado by any means, but saw this safe at shotshow and was quite amazing. Tactical Series, 01, Tactical Law Inforcement LE, Military, AR15 Gun Safe, Browning Gun Safe Product
  18. Ugh, for some reason I cannot stand the XS big dot sights. I had them on my P228 for awhile and finally threw em in the trash. They aren't BAD sights, I just couldnt like them, no matter how much I tried.
  19. Hardee's??? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
