  1. I don't think Ruger has changed. I just think they are trying to make a buck. Course I'm probably wrong, but opinions are like armpits and all that jazz. First thing I'd change on the rifle though? The stupid mini-14 birdcage they've put on it to be cute.
  2. Ehh, I dunno, it has it's place. Granted yeah, I'd rather shoot my Garand or my EBR, but honestly imo it's almost as much fun to me to shoot. Not to mention that shooting up 54R ammo doesnt make me nearly as sick as shooting up my 5.56.
  3. Called em this morning, all but one sales person are gone to the NRA show until next week. The one that was left said she didnt know if they did or not, and to talk to another person when he got back. I'll keep you posted....
  4. I can always call my Sabre guy tomorrow and ask if they have any still laying around for those that are curious.
  5. At G&L, if you are denied we require you to pay the $10 background check fee since it's owed to TBI approved or not since we ran the check. However, after you fill out an appeal, if you want to put the firearm you intended to purchase on layaway you're more than welcome to so it doesnt go anywhere while you're waiting for your appeal to come back. We almost never get payment up front.
  6. Metalhead

    Wolverine

Taken from another board that sums up my feelings: "Terrible. A complete waste of any potential that it had. The treatments of Deadpool and Emma Frost were unforgivable. Liev Schreiber did a good job with what he was given, and Hugh Jackman tried really, really hard to make it good, but...I'm sorry. No. Just...no."
  7. How did I miss this thread in February? Anyway, for what it's worth now - if anyone EVER has any problems with CS here at G&L, grab the nearest salesperson (not literally grab, but you know what I mean) even if your interupting them, and ask for me or Dennis. We don't pay people what we do to ignore customers and dick around, and pride ourselves on the CS reputation we have. Yes, sometimes we cant get to everyone as fast as we'd like, but sometimes there is no excuse. I and Dennis usually work in the back mostly nowadays, so sometimes we cant see everything. If there is a problem with certain salespeople we need to know - we have hired several people in recent months.
  8. Anyone have street fighter 4 for their PS3? I've been wanting to wtfpwn (or at least try) people other than just random challenges I get.... they prove less than capable majority of the time .
  9. Oh no not at all - it's not a design I particularly care for either. So far out of everyone that I've had look at it it's been pretty 50/50 on whether they liked the design. Unfortunately, Dennis purchased the template from the developers before I really got a chance to look at it, so I'm afraid we're stuck with the way it looks. I can change the colors/banners and crap like that, but I really don't know if that's going to make a difference. However, the admin side of the site is a breeze to control. I can pretty well edit or change anything on it in no time flat, without having to brush up on my HTML . That in itself is great, as the old flash-based page we were using had little to no flexibility to it, we really couldnt change much of anything outside of the class dates. Speaking of the old website, apparently our webmaster has gone MIA. Phone #'s we had for him are disconnected, wont return emails, so on so forth. Come to find out, gunsandleather.com is registered in his name now for some reason, and it's like pulling teeth to get godaddy.com to strip him of it. If it wasnt for that, the new one would be up and running as we speak. Anyone have much experience with domain name stuff?
  10. For some reason, I never could actually make any money for the time invested working the bazaar... I think it was mostly due to the stuff I was buying to resale I ended up using for myself or army of bots/alts haha.
  11. Irish - what server ya on? Paletiger - MMO is short for MMORPG which is Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. Daniel - I played Lineage 2 for a couple months, but after the only people I ever saw were adena farming bots, I called it quits.
  12. Yeah, I'm an MMO geek. I've played the vast majority of MMO's that have come out since '99. Currently still playin EverQuest, though I did play WoW for about a 6 months until I got tired of it. Everything else I'd play for 1-2 months or a week (in Warhammer's case), and keep goin back to good ol' EQ.
  13. See avatar for best cartoon ever produced by mankind.
  14. Then you will want Kotaku - Pip-Berry 3000 - Fallout 3
  15. Wanna know how bad the ammo is for G&L right now? ............... on Saturday we had to run to Academy and buy up all their FMJ so people in our carry class could shoot .
  16. We've got a MP5 that we rent out sometimes - it's a awsome weapon. Most controllable full-auto I've shot to date. Well, minus the full size Uzi with a .22LR kit in it we had for a bit .
  17. +1 for Sabre Defence - they're good peoples. Speaking of which, should have a M5 Tactical coming in around Tuesday.
  18. I would imagine SBR. FA without ATF paperwork is worthless.
