    My Kahr=crap

It has been my experience that the 40's from Kahr have a 40%+ failure rate from what I've seen. We've even done our best to stop carrying the guns chambered in 40 because they are so problematic. Now, the 9's and 45's seem pretty solid, but I dont think they ever quite worked the kinks out of the 40.
  2. I got bitten by a brown recluse last fall and it wasnt fun, no sir.
  3. I'll agree and dissagree with you here, Phillip. Sam is the MAN when it comes to 1911's - even Jeff will tell you that, but there are alot more guns out there besides a 1911. Best overall in this part of the state I'm going have to say our own dear Jeff hands down. But of course I have to defend my own eh? I know! We can have a kung-fu fight to the death between Jeff and Sam, winner takes all!

    FN SCAR?

Franklin had one, highly highly doubt they still do though. Honestly though, have you felt the thing? Feels like imo. You might want to play with one before you set on buying it - and if you already have and you liked it, well, awsome!

    Walmart?

From what I've heard from distributors - and the other FFL's here may be able to shed a little more light on it than I (I just got the jist of it from Dennis) - CCI/Speer is rationing ammo right now, mandating that distributors can only sell so much ammo to one dealer at a time. Walmart & other large box stores may be tied up in that as well.
  6. See? These are the comments I'm looking for. I dont know if thats just a basic template they use for the demo page, but I will indeed be calling the guy in charge of building it and seeing if that is the exact color/graphic scheme he is going for. It IS rather bland, I'll give you guys an update when I have one.
  7. Working on manufacturers as well. Have no idea how H&H got in there .
  8. http://cms102.icglink.net/ It's a work in progress, and when its finished will have our usually URL to go with it. Need you guys to provide some constructive critisism. What needs to be changed? What needs to be added? There are some things that are a given - the class dates are not correct, need to add class 3 and other things. More looking for design changes, potential FAQ questions, that kind of thing. EDIT: Text in the About Us section needs to be revamped I know, they just pulled that off our old page.

    MORTGAGE HELP

Sweet! Can I get in on this too?
  10. If you had asked I would have told you this before you bought them...
  11. My advice is to take your compaq back and buy a real computer, or build one yourself (it's easy to learn, and fun!).
  12. I own a PS3 and a Wii. I would LOVE to have a 360 instead of the ps3, but as of Sept of 08 the failure rate on a 360 was 68%. Supposedly the new Jasper boards they're putting in them will be much better, but I cant bring myself to drop the coin on one still.
  13. Need to break her of that while she's young, or she'll grow up to be like my wife
  14. We have a guy that does that EVERY Saturday, you can just about set your watch by him. Never comes in to buy anything or look around - just comes in and b-lines to the bathroom, does his business, sometimes doesnt flush and then walks out leaving the door wide open and no fan on.
  15. Sounds like someone who was bitter agianst Buds tried to start a rumor about them. Granted I have no clue if its true or not, but just a guess.
  16. Then next time you come see me directly. Any idea who it was you delt with that gave you less-than-steller service so that I may remind them what they get paid for?
  17. It would seem that there is alot of this going around. Someone emailed this to me the other day: http://www.gunsmiths.com/jobdetail.php?id=70 EDIT: And yes, imo nothing good can come of any of it. Although if they really wanted to get a shop full of shennanigans and portray gun owners as jerks, TLC would already have "The Rick Uselton Show". And if my wife can sit around for hours watching dwarfs and a family with a bazillion kids, this might could work too /shrug.
  18. Wasn't impressed by them at SHOT. It's innovative kinda, but the demo model they had wasnt anything to write home about like Joe said. We asked them if they were going to include the recall notice in the box with them.. they didnt like that too much .
  19. Because some FFL's understand that if you treat people right, they will come back. This wave we're riding will end at some point, and when the sales are getting lean is when you want to have the best reputation & repeat customers as possible.
  20. Exactly. /rant on We strive to have excellent customer service and like to think that the vast majority of the time we succeed, but at this stage of the game there literally is next to nothing to be had. Please consider what the FFL's are going through at the moment - case in point, I'll go over the list of firearms that used to be plentiful that now we have trouble re-ordering: Glocks (any model) Sigs (any model) S&W revolvers (any model but especially J-frames) 1911's (any make, model) Beretta's (most) XD's are OK, and by OK I mean dont ask for 3" guns Taurus (everything, minus 24/7 OSS's) Walther (agian, anything) Rugers This does not include the stuff that was allocated (read: distributors pick and choose who gets what) before all this happened. Allocated firearms that are even MORE hard to get now than before include: Kel-tec Taurus Judge's (I die on the inside everytime someone asks me about these) Black Rifles - any manufacturer - though this is getting slightly better Tactical Rifles, as in Police bolt rifles and M1A type rifles Anything Century Arms Hi-Points Mossberg home defense shotguns I could go on and on. Honestly I'm extremely lucky that I have what I do in the building for sale. My vendors are good to me so I cant complain much, but if I have half of the Glock models in stock I'd be surprised. Don't get me started on the state and availability of ammunition and accessories either, cause its just as bad if not worse. So please, your local store may be a jerk to you, but consider the problems they are having to deal with. Less product means less sales, which means less money to pay the bills with. Or, dont get mad at them because they cant order a product for you. Yeah, we can take your money, but dont expect us to be able to tell you if/when it will ever show up. It's amazing though, some of us dealers dont like to take peoples money without a product we can reasonably deliver. Go figure. /rant off
  21. I cant say enough good things about them, really. The extremely few times we've had trouble out of ones we've sold they took care of them in record time. Even sent a guy up to the shop to pick it up from us, though that was a few years ago when they were not as big as they are now, probably would have to ship it to them nowadays.
  22. I've shot that one when he was at the range a little while back - excellent gun. Course, I've never seen Kano with anything but top notch stuff either! ................ and I'm still trying to get him into rifles! One day!
  23. My M1 Garand - complete with CMP paperwork and just enough wear on the stock to tell its been used on the commies somewhere!
