  2. Not sure what time... However, there was two co-workers (Ladies) working late that night. One left at 8:30 adn the other at 10:30. The one that left last said that she "thought" that she heard something but was at the other end of the building and had a TV on. She is second guessing working so late by her self. I noticed the window when I got to work the next morning because it is right by my office door. At fist glance I thought that maybe it was a rock until the maintenance man ask me about it. He knows that I am a permit holder and asked me if I "had an accidental discharge" ...I told him "not since I was sixteen or so"....He later found the bullet inside the office.
  3. I am right down the hill from the Royal Pky USPS... I hope that it was just an "isolated incident". I may go up there and see if anyone went "postal" lately.
  4. No luck, the police officer took the bullett and said that it may have been "kids" riding down royal pky shoot'n their .45. The Maintenance man agreed that it was a large caliber handgun.
  5. Forestry I will check and see if I can get a pic of the bullet that was in the conference room... not a rock. Ummm now I have a hancker'n for a Manattee sandwich with baby seal sauce.
  6. Guess I had better make use of my carry permit on a daily basis.
  7. I work in an industry that "tree huggers" cannot stomach very well. In the past we have received "love notes" from said huggers. I work real late some nights and have often looked out in the parking lot for "people" before I head to the car. We are in the Nashville Airport area (elm hill pike) and it seems that we have a shooting range that I was not told about. We have a window that has taken a shot this week and it looks like a good size caliber by looking at the hole and the bullett that is inside the office. Anywho, if I can get a few extra range passes from the office we can have a TGO outing and pop off a few. All joking aside... I am not fond of the idea that some nut would shoot at an office in a business/residential area

  16. Correct, the 1st payment will be from the moeny that they received from the bailout. I like how that works... now if I can just find somebody that will loan me a billion bucks I will promise to pay them back $50,000 every month.
  17. If it is an all correct era Winchester you did not "overpay" IMO. If it is a "mixmaster" then yeah you paid a bit much. Have you taken it apart to see if the trigger housing, Hammer, Slide, and other parts are Winchester? The stock appears to be Winchester. Does the stock have a cartouche on it? Is there a "W" in the slingwell? How early is the serial number? If early if may be a springtube model...more of a "cool factor" to some. The bayonet sheath appears to be an early one. It does not have metal hangers for the belt on top so it is a trench knife, pre-carbine baynet era.
  18. Only the very early Winchesters had barrel date stamps..... They stopped barrel dating like mid/end 1942. Nice looking carbine OP
