You should be fine for what you are wanting to do.... Can you put a forward "load" on your bipod? A little forward pressure may help with MIV (Minute of Vitals).

Nahhh just turn the cylinder to the next chamber and pull the trigger again... it will work just fine.

I dont use a sling with a pod... I have never tried but have seen others at the range try. I cannot see where it would help me. You may want to try it both ways and see what works for you. A good read on pod shooting: Bugholes from Bipod

1500 would be "ok" if it were an early standard and had all military parts in it. If it is all SAI parts then 1200 is more in the ballpark IMO.

I have one on right now. I was shocked at how accurate I can shoot this little gun. I found .380 last week in Mount Juliet... Jimdigriz didnt call the right place.

I use the Arms 22 mounts and Med rings on my M1A. I do use a cheek piece as well. Nice combo Imo. Sadlak aslo make an excellent mount but cost more $$$. Their Airborne mount is baddass... Scope Mount Brookfield Style, M14/M1A Sadlak Industries

M1A is hard to beat.... but a bolt gun is fun too. Kinda like comparing a corvette Z06 to a Viper SRT to a car guy. You cant go wrong either way for what you want to do IMO.
