Nothing moved around me. Had a 15-20 mph wind the entire time.

I wasnt feeling well last night, woke up at 4am and could barely open my eyes to shut off the alarm. I hit snooze and never woke back up.... Fixing to eat and head out there now though. Would love to drop a couple this afternoon.

Finally was able to order the rest of the parts :) This is a 10.5" barrel. I decided the cost difference was not worth the inch shorter to go with the 9" or 9.5" barrel that I wanted. Will get full pics and details up once fully completed. Have to get the rail (Diamondhead VRS T 10.25") cerakoted and find a different muzzle device - I picked up a Damage Industries 3 slot brake with dissipator sleeve and the sleeve is way too large to fit under my rail - I knew it was too large, but thought the threads would stick out past the rail enough to work. The slot in the brake doesn't fully clear the rail, I could shoot but would be worried about gas cutting the rail. This device is 2.25" overall and the slots are about a half inch too close to the rail. I am looking at devices that are 3" in length now, thinking may have to grab a flaming pig or similar. Here is a few pics. Will get the gas block/tube installed tomorrow and hopefully have the rail cerakoted Magpul FDE next week.

  Tell me about the API - I have seen the name but not heard a whole lot. I will look that model up.     I decided there is no real reason to buy a stand right now, waiting until at least January when things go on sale, so taking my time to research the various models and features.

They responded again - sale tomorrow is at a different time and only for prior customers.

Walmart doesn't randomly shut their doors and keep people from accessing the stores during a sale though. Shows poor planning and a weak web server but maybe tomorrow's sale will go better.

Going to see it opening night. Shady Brook Cinema here in Columbia has (had) a Black Friday coupon thing, two tickets/drinks/popcorn/candy for $20. We bought a couple to see this and the new Jurassic Park.

I hoped for a fair chance and I did not get it.   The website was down for over an hour and I never had a chance to find the item (until I came back 2 hours later) much less add it to my cart and attempt to check out. If the website had been functional but the item sold out before I was able to checkout that would be a different situation. Really I am glad I did not get a chance to check out, with the website constantly crashing failed checkout attempts would have been even more infuriating. 

I grabbed a Poulan Pro 18" yesterday for $85 at a liquidation outlet. Open box and the saw case is bent but it is new and saved $100 vs buying sealed box.

Put one down this morning, eating and fixing to head back out. I need 3 more for the freezer.

That's a good price for plinking bullets. I grabbed 1k for now.

Yes, crossbow though so an open space isn't much of a concern.

Anyone with experience with the Treewalker? My FIL used one years ago and loved it.   I figured Summit would be the top choice here. I just have to figure out what model will be best for me.

Hell with it, I'm going back to bed. Congrats if anyone here lucked out and was able to purchase (or even connect to their site).

  I looked through a few posts, can see some of the persons interest but had no idea what to buy related to that interest. 

Looking at a new climber since mine got busted a couple of weeks ago.... Need some opinions for those who have used the couple I am looking at, or other options. up The climber I had was a Northstar Traveling Star - about 10 years old, company has went out of business but it was a good stand overall. The platform was 20" by 28" and it always seemed a bit too small when I was standing so one feature on my wish list is a 20"x30" or 35" platform.   I know Summit is one of the best brands out there and I have some experience with the brand. Also discovered Treewalker stands and very positive reviews online and from a couple of guys I know that have used one previously (no longer have them for me to test out).   Weight is important, the lighter the better. Treewalker is listed at 19 pounds, the few Summits are about 22 pounds. I don't walk miles so that is probably irrelevant but would not want any heavier - I owned a 27 pound stand once and hated it.     Here is what I have found so far: 1. Treewalker ProMag XL  http://www.treewalkertreestands.com/detail.asp?sku=ProMag%20XL&r1=chillpad&r2=crossbowholder&r3=padstrap-upgrade I like the large 20"x35" platform and only 19 pounds. I selected the XL model for the removable front bar and shooting rail. The price is more than what I wanted to spend, but could justify that by getting a stand that will last for years plus this is a TN company.   2. Summit 180 Max SD. http://www.summitstands.com/summit-180-max-sd-climbing-treestand-mossy-oakr-camp Wider platform at 21"x30.75". The wrap around padded seat looks comfortable. Same price concern.   3. Summit Viper SD (also seen the Viper Class which has a 20"x35" platform). http://www.summitstands.com/summit-viper-sd-climbing-treestand-mossy-oakr-camo Platform on the SD is 20"x28.75" so this is not any larger than what I had. I listed the Classic model because it has a larger platform, but what little information I found shows it weighs 25 pounds versus the 20 pounds that this SD weighs. Price of either version is more in the price range I hoped for.     Anyone have experience with these models? Anything else I should look at? NOT interested in Ole Man climbers. Is there any place in the Middle TN area that I could look at these and sit in them? Academy, Bass Pro, etc. might have a display model but not any that can be tested.   ETA - the Treewalker has the webbing seat which I have no experience with, my other stands have all been padded. If I go with one of these I plan to get the ChillPad listed on their site so not sure if the webbing is really an issue, aside from the concern of how well it will hold up to elements?

They are the original company, and perform NiB coating for many other companies is my understanding. I don't own one but always heard great things about the brand.

Just saw on Slickguns, Buds confirmed $49 shotguns and $99 pistols. Starts at 8am eastern and limited quantities. I intend to grab one of those pistols..

I'll be out there tomorrow. Hopefully a couple does will come along and help fill the freezer. Nice buck Ruger!
