  1. I want a Rock Island tactical in 9mm. A guy at the range had one and it is nice!
  2. Yeah it would be simple enough to call and cancel then re-order. But saving $20 on the reloading items isn't worth the risk of losing the scope combo. With my luck I would cancel the order and before I could get everything added back that scope would go to someone else. So I will just let it be.
  3. Dang, I ordered a die set and Hirnady micro adjust from them the other night with the Bushnell scope. Would have saved $20. Not worth the hassle to cancel and re-order though.
  4. Also, if money is a concern and you are not against financing, Care Credit may be something to look at. When I had my eyes done they had a 2 year, 0% offer that I took advantage of. Loden is not the cheapest option but they seem to be the highest rated. Their procedure is more expensive than some other options because it is all laser and customized to fix each individual eye.
  5. My AR pistol in my build thread is my Christmas present. Told my wife not to buy me anything (she did end up getting me a couple tools I needed, know because she verified what I was looking for) because I bought the parts to finish that pistol over the past 4 weeks.
  6. Yep, 100% laser. And after reading that last post, I may have only had to put drops in a couple times a day as well. It was 2 years ago so not totally sure, but was no less than every 2 hours unless my eyes felt dry. There was no pain at all, but eyes were dry and irritated feeling the first day. You can't rub them for a couple weeks and just lightly for the 3-4th week.
  7. I had to put eye drops in every couple of hours, not 15 minutes. Was an antibiotic/steroid if I remember to prevent infection. As far as the surgery, I had mine done at Loden Vision. Custom lasik for each eye. The surgery they use a clamp to hold your eyes open, then you just lay still for 30 seconds while a laser zaps it. Nothing to it, was in the room for 5 minutes and done. Sat up and could clearly read the clock on the wall across the room that I could not make out before.
  8. Damage Industries has 50% off store wide. Means like $64 BCGs and other great deals. http://damageindustriesllc.com Code is XMAS50 Edit, BCGs show sold out now. Should have posted this sooner.
  9. PSA has some awesome deals right now and past few days. $30 6.8 bolts, $200 off CHF 6.8 barrels, several scope deals..... And amazing ammo prices. I spent quite a bit the other night.
  10. I wore contacts for about 8 years and glasses about 4 years prior to contacts. 2 years ago this spring I went and had LASIK done and have been very happy. Contacts were a pain but much better than glasses, much clearer vision. Not having to deal with them and having 20/15 vision is even better.
  11. I woke up and wasn't raining, weather said 0% and the radar was clear so I headed out. Pulled up at my spot and it started raining. I sat in the rain for an hour and half, got soaked through, and then the sky really opened up so I climbed down and went home. Didn't see anything except one squirrel. I will be back out there on Friday.
  12. Told the wife I was going to watch Die Hard and Lethal Weapon the next couple days. She isn't too happy with those.
  13. Going to see what the weather is like in the morning. Hopefully this rain passes over (70% chance in the morning) and I can get a few hours in the woods before Christmas with the in-laws. I have the doe from Saturday waiting to be ground to burger still, would love to add another instead of messing with the grinder for just one.
  14. Merry Christmas to all. Be safe and enjoy time with family, friends, and away from work.
  15. None of my scopes are currently using a QD mount. But I would have no problems using one, from a quality brand. I know from others they are reliable and hold zero if removed. My red dot mount is QD.
  16. Dangit, just ordered one. I said I wasn't but $132 after rebate for a $100 mount and $150ish scope is too good of a deal. And reviews for this scope seem to be good. Not sure if it will go on my 6.8 build or if I will swap scopes around but a good deal regardless.
  17. I only went with the hex tube for the look. Brace was never on anything else. Im not concerned about it, just realized it moved and had to be adjusted.
  18. I am tempted to grab this and keep up for my next build. But I am such a Vortex fan that I am going to pass and grab a Vortex in a couple of months.
  19.   It actually slid over part of the hex shape. The brace fit was super tight when I installed it originally so a bit shocked it loosened that much but should be good to go now.
  20.   I have been trying to avoid that because my wife keeps asking too.... Guess it is time for me to add it all up and see how far I was off my quick estimate....   Sig brace - $125 Phase 5 buffer kit - $75 Barrel - $125 Rail - $140 BCG - $90 BAD selector - $65  KAW comp - $40 Receivers - $90 LPK with ALG trigger - $75 Other parts (charging handle, dust cover, bolt release, handstop, etc) - think $50ish   So that is $900ish without counting the sling (free from neighbor), light and sights (moved from carbine). I told the wife earlier I thought about $700   :stunned:   I took several months, buying parts spread out. And picked up several Black Friday deals to finish the build. I could have completed this a lot cheaper but I had a specific idea in my head - built around this rail which is the most expensive item.
  21. Yeah I understand, thought I had a couple full pics but obviously did not. I just took a couple extras. And had to re-adjust the Sig brace, it slid up yesterday so pulled it off and sprayed the tube down with the wife's hairspray and letting it dry. Also moved the hand stop back, it helps line my hand up with the flashlight. My AFG should be here tomorrow and I will test it out, not sure what I sill stick with. I figured out I do NOT like a single point sling, it just gets in the way. Need to figure out how I want to mount a second attachment point, if I keep the handstop can add a sling mount on the bottom rail. If go with the AFG may get a 2" rail and add to the side.
  22. I didn't realize seeing the Sig brace was that important. :) The brace was shown in some of the other pics so I wasn't worried about capturing it. Was really just showing off the rail, cerakote job.
  23. That BCG actually went into my rifle, not this pistol. I haven't shot it yet, may get out today. It cycles very smoothly and feels as slick as my other NiB carrier so am sure it will wipe off easily.
  24. Here is a few better pics. Was all in the camera settings, Motorola camera app and defaults are terrible. Photos were taken in the exact same location and same lighting.
  25. I tumble all my brass in corncob again after sizing. Removes lube and gives a nice polish.
