Forgot to list yesterday, for the mount I am using Primary Arms one piece mount (on my AR). It was actually a package deal with the Vortex scope I wanted and the mount is very solid. I do not see any deals including their mount right now. https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary-Arms-Deluxe-AR15-Scope-Mount-1-Inch-p/padlxsm1.htm However, they do have a deal with some of the Nikon scopes to get a free Nikon mount. Here is one, they have a couple more listed. https://www.primaryarms.com/Nikon-NK8496-P-223-3x32-BDC-Carbine-Rifle-Scope-p/8496.htm

I would go Vortex over Nikon. The past couple scopes I bought are Vortex Crossfire - as good quality as my Nikon Buckmasters at a less expensive price point. Not sure about the P223 though...

Looking at weapon lights - Ruger Sr40c
TNMTBik3r replied to TNMTBik3r's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I ordered the TLR-1s from Amazon. If I don't like it for some reason its a simple return. But I think I will be plenty satisfied with the light output. I do plan to save up and get a "better" light for my AR. Hopefully in a year or so I will be moved back out to the country where an extended beam on a rifle could be useful. -
The Mboro show is good. Last time there was a great deal on .50cal ammo cans too. Looks like the next show is April 26/27

Looking at weapon lights - Ruger Sr40c

Amazon has the TLr-1s for $93. Even with tax that is the best price I have seen and I think it is worth trying since it seems to fit my needs. I may save up and get a Surefire for my AR. Not sure yet, still comparing but leaning towards the TLR-1s. -

In the interest of being as frugal as possible and if Surefire really is soo much better, what about getting a Surefire handheld light and then finding a separate mount to use? For example, I can get this http://www.eaglevalleyoutfitters.com/surefire/surefire-fury-defender-13859 for $120 and then get a mount for (Troy VTAC or other) in the $25 range. This would allow for an offset light mounted on the pistol. -
I think I have 15-20. Just a handful, given to me and I am not going to use them. They are not in the box, just a bag that was labeled and I weighed/measured them myself and verified online to be sure they were the 160gr. If you want them send me a PM with your address.

I may end up getting a Surefire, would take me a couple more weeks and would only be getting it instead of an additional light/mount for the AR or hand carry. Right now with where I live I do not need to worry about visibility outside very far (street lamps and close neighbors) and my house is not very large. That is part of why I feel the Streamlight model will fill my needs - I don't need to see hundreds of feet and 300 or 500 lumens will both disorient. ETA - the TLR-1 seems to have a better flood pattern which better suits my needs in a close quarter home situation. The TLR-4 is out of consideration. I dug a bit deeper on Google and there are a lot of complaints about it being a low powered laser, only useful in low light (although the flashlight wouldn't be much use either during the day). -

The cheapest Surefire x300 I am finding is about $200 - I know it is worth it but I really don't want to pay that much. I feel that one of the Streamlight models will fill my needs very well. -
I have been keeping a flashlight next to my bed where I could try to grab it. Been thinking lately, and will be much better off with a mounted weapon light. I know (been searching and reading older posts) that several members here do not like a mounted light for a few reasons, but it is convenient vs having to search/remember to grab a stand alone light. Right now I am looking at the Streamlight TLR-1, TLR-3, and TLR-4 (light/laser combo). From LA Police Gear these are $99, $72 and $115 respectively. Primary weapon will be my Ruger Sr40c but I am not sure if the TLR-1 will be too big - I know it is longer than the TLR-3 but I cannot find a good pic to compare the two lights. I did find a pic of the Ruger Sr9c with the TLR-3 and it does stick out past the muzzle a bit, which is a feature I am looking for. For the price, I would not mind spending the extra $15 to get the laser combo if this is a decent laser. This has a 640-660nm red laser, which is in the same range as Crimson Trace lasers - I have owned/used a couple CT lasers and do not remember the exact output but a few were almost invisible during the day. I am also thinking about grabbing a couple of http://www.lapolicegear.com/lapg-operator-l2-flashlight.html or http://www.lapolicegear.com/st-88040-protac-hl.html, and finding a rail mount so I could place one of these on my AR. But the primary purpose would be hand carry light. Does anyone have a recommendation one way or the other for the TLR-x series and why in detail? I know the TLr-1 uses 2 batteries which could be a pro or con depending on how you want to look at things. Does anyone have a Ruger Sr9/40c or similar sized pistol with experience with any of the above lights? Any experience with the laser, is it daylight visible out to say 20 yards? Thanks!

6 years is crazy. I only have one automatic withdraw and that is into a college fund we setup for our daughter. Other than that, all of my bills are paid manually when I decide using online bill pay or sending a check.

Looking for the loaded ammo or the FTX bullets? I have a handful of the bullets I'm not going to use.

Has to do with cutting off their arms and bottom of the jaw. It was discussed last season? Forget who Michonne explained it to but it was discussed.

Investigating the pilot who was a 'political activist' http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2014/03/16/malaysia-flight-missing-pilots/6484249/ And looking at a flight engineer as being an accomplice to the pilot. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/03/17/pilots-become-focus-malaysia-airlines-investigation/ "Authorities are also examining the possibility that the plane flew at an altitude of less than 5,000 feet to avoid radar coverage after it turned back from its planned route to Beijing, the Malaysian newspaper New Straits Times reports. The newspaper said officials are reviewing the plane’s flight profile to determine whether it used “terrain masking†techniques during the time it disappeared from radar coverage. "It's possible that the aircraft had hugged the terrain in some areas that are mountainous to avoid radar detection,†an official told the newspaper. “The person who had control over the aircraft has a solid knowledge of avionics and navigation..."

If we were close I would give you a copy of my OEM disc. I have the x64 and x86. Give me a bit and I will see if I can upload it to Google Drive as a .iso -
I just saw that ad posted on Facebook. All the snacks are included, wonder about luggage?

Graf's or Wideners had the Hornady reamer in stock last week. Forget which place it was I saw them.
-
I hand ream with the Hornady reamers. My neighbor has the Dillon swag and it is nice but the reamer does what I need. Just finished up 500 30-06 brass today and have a bunch of 5.56 to sort through tonight or tomorrow and see what needs reamed.

Rattlesnake is good, I've had it a few times but been a couple years. Ate several different meats at wild game suppers.

I received my powder from All Powder Paints today and tested 2 of the colors. I also tried the double tumble/bake. Yamaha Blue. 1st tumble and bake 2nd tumble and bake KTM Orange. 1st tumble and bake. 2nd tumble and bake. These are Speer 9mm cast that have a "hard multi-layer lube" that is very very slick and dry. Not waxy, sticky or even visible. These were .355 before and exactly .356 after coating. I do not think the 2nd tumble and bake is worth it for the blue. The orange definitely needs 2 coats and maybe even a 3rd tumble bake cycle.

I love my single shot .410! Seriously, old Sears & Roebuck .410 bolt action, not very valuable but worth a fortune to me as it was from a very close family member.

I had planned on stopping in at EW in Franklin tomorrow to see what they had for reloading supplies. Heard they had some good prices on stuff. The price on that 22lr is making me reconsider stopping and spending any money. If they had a very small profit margin on it then maybe, but I am not going to bet on less than a 5cent per round markup.
