It scares them because the Progressive Liberal teaching of secular humanism is that evil and bad are simply a lack of education (by the state) or injustice and that it can be cured with enough of other people's money, "progression", and fairness. Base humanity hasn't changed since the beginning of time nor will it.

Promag = universally bad. If you have one that works, it's just a matter of time. Tapco = good reliable. The only caveat is that some poly mags can be real tight in the mag well. This is usually the issue you find with Tapco's. Also, poly mags tend to break at the tabs if you drop them loaded or they fall on the ground. There are a few Bulgarian poly mags (circle 10's) and a few commercially made Bulgarian poly mags that have steel reinforced tabs and feed lips. If course they start at around $24 and go way up from there.

You will need to install a bullet guide, which is a small piece of metal that goes in the receiver just in front of the chamber. You will also probably need to file down the top of the mag catch. Once that is done any AK mag will work. http://www.carolinashooterssupply.com/category_s/1931.htm

Is this in the same category as Fireclean?

1969 polish akm on nodak reciever advice wanted
Smith replied to patrick28's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
The yugo mags are the only ones that are factory BHO. The follower has a stop that catches the bolt. Weapon Tech is making BHO followers and they work really well. I have them in all my mags and they work in all my AK's. http://www.primaryarms.com/WeaponTech_AK47_Enhanced_Bolt_Hold_Open_Follower_p/afwtakf3.htm As to the fixed triangle, Dolomite is exactly right. Not only do they require a specific rear trunion, they also require a precise cut just behind the front trunion and a catch installed to hold the triangle open. Not hard but one of the more precise measure and cut on an AK that needs to be right. If you want a triangle stock option withiout allthe trunion work and cut work, then Manticore Arms makes on that uses the ACE hinge system and works well. -

The only thing from IO I would buy and have bought is the made in Poland AK's. Those guns are imported and IO doesn't put their hands on them. The way to tell the difference is in the warranty offered and the model designation. The "M" series and "AKM247" series is IO made and they have a lifetime warranty - AVOID. The Polish made have a one year warranty and do not have "MADE IN USA" on the left side of the reciever.

I agree with most everything mentioned. Red Dawn and The Postman I would add. Note with The Postman I think the idea of the post office being the redemption from apocalypse is far fetched to put it mildly, but it did do a fairly realistic job of showing how nobody's could rise to somebody's fairly easily.

Jeff is a good gunsmith but he works limited times and can be picky about what work he does. Typical gunsmith guy. Sam Hoster has been the go to guy for years. He even consulted on some of the major manufacturers 1911 assembly lines. Of the two, Sam gets my vote.

Yes. Just pick the camera icon at the bottom of the posting/reply window. I should add this is a feature of Tapatalk.

CNC Warrior. The M92 is a completely different from a standard detent pin assembly. I would just use a crush washer on the Saiga. If the front sight is not already drilled (it's doable) it can be somewhat difficult. You could also change the front sight block out. Some of the Saigas were drilled and then painted over, some are not. Take a small punch and place it where the detent pin should go and tap it a few times. If it starts to break through it's drilled. If not, it's not drilled. http://www.cncwarrior.com/M92-M85-Muzzle-Detent-Pin-and-Spring-p/25301.htm -
Not TN but the go to place for the M17s http://www.kmaerospace.com/M17s.shtml

Either of those work well as a brake, but will do nothing with flash. The '74 is hard to beat but it rather big and heavy but I like them. My favorite is the Manticore Nightbrake, works phenomenally well. I also really like the CNC Warrior Nightbrake. Works well as a brake and a flash hider. Here is a little comparison I did on a few I had laying around. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/79716-ak-brake-comparison-very-unscientific/?hl=%2Bmuzzle+%2Bcomparison Here are some: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2012/12/chris-dumm/ak-muzzle-device-test-part-1-recoil-reduction/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuzoiLKAFwA AR but gives you an idea about some that are similar to the AK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FD-Rou9-9A -
Nice gun! You're gonna like the 9mm platform.

Yeah, I just came across a PJK-9HP (Hi-Power clone) and had to pick it up. It was my first handgun back when the bug bit me for the first time and was wanting to pick up another one for sentimental reasons. Great clones. Didn't have a clue about guns then and was fortunate to land a good one to start with.

Good Gunsmith to Thread Barrel for Flash Suppressor?
Smith replied to JohnC's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Not to hash it again, but no one has EVER even been charged with 922r compliance (after importation) as it is unenforceable and a misapplication of import restrictions to the original importer - not a continuation after importation. In other words don't sweat it. It's actually kinda hard not to have enough US parts to satisfy those that think 922r necessary BTW - John, I have the threading parts if you want to borrow them or if you are in the Nashville area I can help you with the project. -
Milled is heavier and more likely to crack. Milled receivers were more desirable due to their collector value, since not as many were made. That being said, there is no practical reason to spend more on a milled receiver, unless it is for collecting. Add to that it is harder to find parts and furniture for milled receivers than a standard AK. The Pioneer Arms Aim is selling is about the best deal out there, bang for your buck.

A couple new ones to share. After getting down to too few AK's, finally getting built back up. Yugo N-Pap that came with the black plastic thumbhole stock. Got a good deal on this and then picked up some m70 handguards and a m76 stock. Trimmed off the nub of the stock and then Tru-oiled the furniture. Gonna leave this one pretty traditional. Pioneer Arms Polish AK. Cheaper than a WASR and built much better. Added an Ace stock I had and a TWS top cover with a Lucid red dot. Really happy with the Manticore Arms Alpha rail.

Good Gunsmith to Thread Barrel for Flash Suppressor?
Smith replied to JohnC's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
You can do it yourself for a little less than paying a smith. Get a kit from http://www.cncwarrior.com/category-s/1933.htm You will need to cut the shroud off the end of the barrel. They are usually already threaded under the shroud. Just be sure not to cut too deep. -
It may just be the worst most distasteful publicity stunt ever. Who would have known Amy Schumer had a movie, much less the shooting took place during that movie. Only link I can she, other than cousin Chuck.
