I have 5 guns located throught my home in places I can get to in matter of a few seconds not counting one I carry when ever my doors are no locked totally 6 guns in the home. I don't have small fingers living in the home and Kasey is my alarm along with a drive way alarm that lets me know if a vehicle or a person comes up to my home. I also have outdoor lighting that is sensor controlled that lights up my back yard , side yard and front of house in parking area. My friends all know to call before stopping by and it puts me on alert for anyone that might show up before them that trips the driveway alarm. Because of the location of my home there is no excuse for anyone to trip my Driveway Alarm by accident after dark so any time it goes off I begin listening for my front door to be touched because they have already tripped the lights so they know their presence is already no secret. "Paranoid"? Not at all. Security conscious very much so..............JMHO

Most all of the dealers in the shows I went to back years ago were beginning to be booths that owned a gun store someplace and were just selling their store inventory for the same price or a bit higher than you could walk into their store and buy the firearm. Back when shows like this began it was because you could get good deals on items but that is long gone. That is why the promoters are using other products to fill empty spaces such as Jerky and Bar-B-Que Sauces and Aluminum Siding Companies. Last show I went to was January 2009 in Nashville and left empty handed cause there was no deals to be found anywhere..........JMHO

It always warms my heart when they locate and bring another one of our brothren home from Vietnam. It gives the family closure knowing they have him home now and can lay him to rest properly................JMHO

I said it did not pass the smell test 5 minutes after I heard the first report from the so called good guy. I know this may be a reach but I wonder if the bad guy from Tennessee may have knew this so called good guy and knew they would be caught and possibly killed so why not let a good guy friend collect the reward , make him look like a hero and get a bunch of money in the process. Stranger things have happened I'm sure. The whole thing just reeks of the unbelievable testimony that was read from a script by the good guy which by the way was different from the one he gave at 5 PM news from 6 PM news. Can't wait to see what changes by 10pm news ............jmho

Well that was not the story I just heard but you may be correct. I just know the homeowner read his explanation from a script and even had documented times of each event which sounded to rehearsed from my viewpoint. He never mentioned that he and his neighbor were armed in the part I just saw on channel 5 News. All he said was he had every gun he owns loaded and ready and then began praying.

Ok so who believes that story that they just willingly surrendered to an unarmed civilian???????????

I would not say it was cowardly of them to let an armed civilian take them down and put them face first on the concrete. I think they realize very fast that dealing with an armed civilian that is willing to take them on is just as willing to shoot and kill both of them and they decided to go into survival mode rather than fertilizer mode.......jmho

Well I was wrong about the amount of the reward earlier. It was not 60,000.00 but was 130,000.00 dollars. I sincerely do hope that this great American armed citizen receives the well deserved reward for his bravery and not allowing these bad guys to escape his grip on them. It just is another PRIME EXAMPLE of the capabilities of a well armed and evidently well trained American that will never get the attention from the news medias that should be well deserved.........JMHO

I in the last year of so have began making sure I am armed just to walk to my mail box at the road. In the past year people in my neighborhood have been robbed while cutting their grass, Grilling out, or just sitting out on their patio enjoying the evening. Most of the bad guys have been armed with knives. God bless anyone that comes up to me and produces a knife and says give me your money cause he will be here when the police arrive! Whether he is breathing or bleeding will be up to him......JMHO

The report did not spend but a brief minute of so on the armed citizen that caught them but a long time about their jouney after they escaped. I sure hope the guy gets the $60,000.00 dollars reward they had offered for them. It was for information leading up to the capture of them. I don't think they figured an armed citizen would just hand them over to police..................

After going and just glancing over that law it does appear that they keep amending it to suit what fits their wants more than what the people need.............

I don't really have a problem with any person in the Congress whether House or Senate that is authorized to carry in their home state being allowed to carry while at work in D.C. Maybe it will do some good because the people (Civilians) can then use it as a reason to have those same privledges be given them. It would be a little hard to tell the people you can't but we can and it hold water..............JMHO

yea but that would just prolong the family getting closure for all the time they are waiting death. Also their is the really outside chance if they did out live this President on death row the next President might do what Obama and pardon them!!!! He did turn loose some pretty bad guys before he left office.

Myself, I would just as soon see them get what they did to those 2 Correctional Officers. They deserve nothing less. I don't want them getting a death sentence and then giving them 10 years + worth of appeals at tax payer expenses, health care at medical expenses for 10+ years, Meals for 10 + years all at Taxpayer expenses. about 10 bucks in hot lead from the guns of Law enforcement would be much easier on taxpayers and would give the families of the slain Correctional officers closure knowing they are both dead..............JMHO

Looks like it may be a 16 gauge cause the barrel looks kinda small but still were great guns. Buddy of mine when we were growing up used Winchester Model 12 Trap grade to shoot trap. I think they quit making the Model 12 and went to the 1200 in mid to late 60's but not sure on dates.

I think when they have a show it is advertised and a Bill Goodman's Gun and Knife Show...............

Sorry to hear about your new ride. It's a shame tha is happened and hope your recovery is fast and full. I drive an Old 1997 Jeep Cherokee and carry only Liabliity coverage but also added an uninsured motorist rider to the policy. My agent said it was a smart move to protect my vehicle cause if an unnsured motorist destroys my vehicle they cannot just pay value of Jeep but I can demand they replace the vehicle and they have to do it and then they sue the uninsured motorist to recover costs.

Because they have a charity fund raiser event to help the under priviledged children in the DC area and they have been doing it for many years. Probably one of the only real good things the Congress as whole does that benefits any Americans at all.....JMHO

"When someone starts shooting; they shoot them until they stop." That is exactly what those 2 Capitol Police officers did this morning even after being wounded themselves. My hat off to both of them for not stopping till the threat was ended..........
