  1. Glad you caught that TMF. I was going to ask that same question. I think Michael Jordan is a great role model for the youth of today. He is an intelligent business man, had a successful career in hoop Sports and I have never had to opportunity of meeting him but would like to some day and shake his hand.................jmho
  2. Well, I was expecting it to have something to do with Race before I ever opened it up and I was right. Also you have a historian that thinks the records might be of vital statistics and a major part of history.   Where was this historian when they were re writing our U.S. History Books used in our schools that had a great many if not all the history of Slavery and a good portion of the Civil War removed.   They said that the old history books were very racial and discriminated against African Americans so after the Civil Rights Bills were signed into law the history books got re written and a part of this nations history was erased at the same time.   I agree with all my heart that those were some very dark times in this country's history and I don't think any one man has the right to buy another man into slavery and I never ever will but that was a part of our heritage that many of the young African American Children will never know and will never be able to see how far they have come and have that pride to know how far they have come. They are not held back by the White people. They are held back by their own leaders............jmho   The only thing they will know is what lies people like Jesse Jackson and and Al Sharpton tell them.......................JMHO!!!!
  3. I have found that if I use the same desk top logo without ever logging out eventually it will fail to sign me in to the site and I have to do it manually and then place a new logo on desk top and it's good for about 4 to 6 months before it begins acting up again. Not saying this is your issue but I found it to be mine a while back..............jmho
  4. Well, it's like I said earlier, it is what you say in Tinsel town or to the press that determines whether your going to continue working or not as an actor/actress these days. If the press wanted to be fair which we all know that is a joke at best but if they did actually want to be fair they would not ask the people that make their living in Hollywood what their views are in that area at all. They should not be forced to put their personal feelings out in the public eye and put their livelihoods in jeopardy................jmho. You can bet if someone from the press asked me my opinion on this topic and my job was on the line with my reply, it would be "None of your damn business."........................jmho
  5. Well, I guess another one bites the dust.......... I think a lot of it is the actors that want to keep working in some cases know not to speak out in favor of guns or be Pro gun. Many of those who have are not getting work. There have been quite a few that after they have retired have spoke out favorably about guns and are Pro gun and many of them join the NRA. But to do it before your ready to retire and you will be put in early retirement like it or not.............jmho
  6. ok , thanks guys. Yea it is a Logitech Mouse but no on the desk top openings. If I want to open a desk top Icon I have to actually double click it to open it up. I just went and tried it to open up my desk top TGO Icon and I had to double click it to open it. May be time for a new mouse. I will go in my junk computer room and dig out another one sometime today. Again thanks....
  7. Rattlesnake Logic         As long as we insist on maintaining the "moral high ground" we will NEVER win the war on terrorism. We're in a conflict in which we absolutely insist in playing by the rules against a group of maniac's who have no rules.         Rattlesnake Logic         After the Boston bombing the news media spent days and weeks trying to determine why these men did what they did. They want to know what America did to make these brothers so angry with us. They want to know why these men were not arrested before they did something so terrible. The media is in a tizzy about this new era of homegrown radicals, and about why they could live among us and still hate us.         A friend of mine from Texas explained it all to me: “Here in west Texas I have rattlesnakes on my place, living among us. I have killed a rattlesnake on the front porch. I have killed a rattlesnake on the back porch. I have killed rattlesnakes in the barn, in the shop and on the driveway. In fact, I kill every rattlesnake I encounter.         I kill rattlesnakes because I know a rattlesnake will bite me and inject me with poison. I don’t stop to wonder why a rattlesnake will bite me; I know it will bite me because it's a rattlesnake and that's what rattlesnakes do. I don’t try to reason with a rattlesnake…I just kill it. I don’t try to get to know the rattlesnake better so I can find a way to live with the rattlesnakes and convince them not to bite me. I just kill them. I don’t quiz a rattlesnake to see it I can find out where the other snakes are, because (a) it won’t tell me, and (b) I already know they live on my place. So, I just kill the rattlesnake and move on to the next one.         I don’t look for ways I might be able to change the rattlesnake to a non-poisonous rat snake...I just kill it. Oh, and on occasion, I accidentally kill a rat snake because I thought it was a rattlesnake at the time. Also, I know, for every rattlesnake I kill, two more are lurking out there in the brush. In my lifetime I will never be able to rid my place of rattlesnakes. Do I fear them? No!         Do I respect what they can do to me? Yes! And because of that respect I give them the fair justice they deserve.... I kill them...”         Maybe as a country we should start giving more thought to the fact that these jihadists' are just like rattlesnakes, and act accordingly!         I love this country with all my Heart and Soul; it's OUR GOVERNMENT I'm afraid of.

  10. I would like to know why when I prepare to use a quote from another member and I click on the quote tag it puts that persons quote up 2 or 3 times in the area I am preparing to post in. Can this issue be fixed or is it something I am doing wrong?  Thanks Bersaguy
  11. Yea and there was a bunch of folks trying to sell survival books on how to survive a solar storm. Hope their was not a lot of folks that fell for it........................
  12.
  13. I have killed probably over 100 deer in my life because our ranch was full of them so getting one was not really a hunt but more and evening or morning walk through the woods. Well, I had not hunted in about 6 years during the time I was dedicating to my son after his accident and because I was never a trophy hunter I seldom took a big deer because smaller ones tasted better and we more tender so choice of 10 point or spike and I would shoot the spike. Anyway after my son passed away my youngest son asked me to go hunting with his down on his place.     I didn't think that much about it but since I had not spent much time with him because his brother required most of my time for 5 years I agreed to go just to spend some quality time with him. He kept talking about this 14 pointer he had wandering around on his place that he had been hunting for two years but could never get a good shot at him. We got in the woods early that morning and e put me up in a camo ladder stand and right behind the stand was about 10 Persimmon trees in full fruit and ground was covered. My son was about 350 yards away up in another stand and he was far enough away he could see me through binoculars and about good sunrise I saw a deer slowly approaching me through a thicket. As it got closer my son could also see it and it was the 14 pointer. He just knew I was gonna kill his big buck.       I watched as that old man eased up to with in about 25 yards and putting his nose in the air I new he scented me. He came about 10 yards closer and nosed the air again and then all at once he just looked up at me and we stared at each other for about a good minute or two. He moved even closer and was probably 25 feet from the tree when he stopped that last time and looked up at me. Then he preceded to go eat his fill of Persimmons and was joined by 3 does. After he ate his fill and he and his ladies left the same way they came it was getting close to mid morning when my son came over to meet up with me and walk back to the house. On the walk back my son said "Dad, I think you need to get new glasses," in a joking way. I said "why son, because you don't think I saw that 14 pointer walk under the stand and eat fruits". He said "why didn't you take him?" and I said "son you know I am not a trophy hunter and I know that you want that deer so he is still here waiting for you to bag him."..............          In all honesty I don't think I would have shot a spike that morning. I watched my oldest Son fight for life and every breath for 5 years and to take somethings life for sport and of course food I didn't know if I would ever be able to hunt again and to this day I have not. I'm sure if it came to food or starvation I could hunt and kill but that is what it would take. As for anyone else I say go for it and enjoy it as I did for many years. My son still does it when he can find time and if he bags one I always get some deer burger which is all I want from one. I can do a lot with burger. I use to have 4 or 5 folks that gave me deer burger and a few guys gave me whole deer if I paid for the processing which I would get the back strips and Tenderloins out and maybe 1 or two roasts and the rest burger. I don't get much deer meat any more these days.       Part of that is because a few of my old friends have quit hunting and others don't kill as many because you cannot find many folks processing deer anymore and if you do you can't afford them. I use to pay 50.00 to get one processed then it went to $60.00. Last year I had a guy give me a deer and I am glad it was a big deer and got is processed into Burger except for the Tenderloins and back Strip and it cost me $95.00. If it had been a small deer it would have ended up costing me more for deer burger the hamburger in stores. A lot of processors have either got to high for people to pay or shut down. I know a lot of guys now are taking their deer up to the mini nites and having deer summer sausage made and some have their make the deer jerky and when they get it home they vacuum seal the jerky...............
  14. Well, I have 17 guns out floating in the air that were stolen from my home in a burglary back in 1988 and I reported the theft by filing a police report and gave the police a description of each weapon taken, and what the serial number is on each gun and were my initials were engraved in each of them where only a gunsmith would find them and they would have to be looking for them and I call the Sheriff's office once a month every month since 1988 and not one of them has shown up anyplace of been reported as found. I even offered a $2,500.00 reward no questions ask return of the Winchester Model 12 Pump gun that belonged to my dead son that they took and that didn't even bring it out. I don't think I will ever see any of them again but in my safe is a letter to the Sheriff of Cheatham county authorizing the release of any of the guns found to my youngest son in the event of my death. Sign and notarized and he will pass the back ground check because he also has an HCP along with his wife. I hope you get your gun back Rusty..........
  15. I could do so much with this but would be very hard to find the right words and still allow it to be posted so I will just leave it alone............ :dirty:
  16. Love the new avatar Ted....................
  17. Or both...........shove it where the sun don't shine and then pull the trigger...................jmho
  18. I woke up this morning and have had another great day in Paradise doing almost nothing except cooking my critters supper and going for a walk around the yard with her. Came here a couple times so going to figure out what snacks I will have with my Friday evening Shows....................
  19. I agree LJ but the second arrest was never made clear as to a new victim or same victim and second charge which would look like a vendetta charge................jmho
  20. Yea JAB, that is what some folks don't understand and that is only about 25% of the Waffle House restaurants are actually owned and operated by the company with 75% being franchise operated. Each franchise owner sets his own store policies as long as they stay close to Waffle House policies. The Local Waffle House here in town is not posted and the one out at I-40 and Hwy 109 is also not posted. I have CC'd in both of them many times. If I owned a restaurant of any kind all forms of Law Enforcement in uniform, out of uniform with just badge and ID and even out with family would eat free in my place. That would be the least I could do for those who lay their lives on the line everyday protecting my family , my business and my home. I don't know if that manager in Texas is in a franchise or company operation but either way he would be back fry cooking on the grill for a while if he is so stupid that he cannot recognized a field uniform and see a gold  badge next to the gun and then still tell the officer to leave after the officer proves he is a police office Texas State Trooper. That would mean he surely would not recognize a Texas Ranger as most of them look like cowboys...............jmho
  21. Well if you follow the reports and how things were being released from the initial arrest through Stephanie first defending him and then changing her story to add what he did to her and then the second arrest in another Parrish which I don't think they ever made that clear as to whether it was a new charge for a new victim or same victim people opinions are going to change. I don't doubt for a second he did something really bad. Whether the public ever finds it out, doubtful it will all be released which is totally understandable considering the case and under ages girls involved. I  can only hope and pray that if he is guilty he gets the maximum punishment allowed by law and also gets some Prison justice as well..................jmho
  22. I use to eat at them often till they became a Gun Free Zone an have not been in one since and won't be going back. I am slowly developing a feeling of not going back to many places that go Gun Free unless they change their minds within 30 days of the error of their ways........................jmho
  23. I watched it also and I think after listening to her I think she may have put the final nails in his coffin but one never knows in Louisiana what courts will do. I mean that judge hearing that case of that blade runner that shot his girlfriend found him not guilty today. The Prosecutors that case thought it was a slam dunk.  Will Hayden right up until his arrest had and probably still has a great many friends. I hope he is not able to get that $250,000.00 bond made of he will be a gone dude and I hope the bonding companies see that. Also I heard Stephanie say today she was scare to death of her father. That is something a child should never have to say about a parent. There is no doubt that if Will does make bond it would not be a good idea to be out in public. I think Stephs husband would kill him on sight...................jmho
  24. Oh believe me David Koresh was a Physio and definitely needed to be dealt with. Like several others said. There was many much easier opportunities to take him down without killing innocent women and children. To me that was just totally reckless wantin of total disrespect for human life by the FBI. I remember it quite well and when the news medias were asking FBI agents prior to the all out assault what the charges were no two FBI agents gave the same answer on charges. I think I was wondering back then I thought at the time just how many charges did they really have and how many were being made up on the run. I just feel bad knowing that we have people in the FBI with zero accountability for loss of innocent lives like it is an every day occurrence.................jmho
  25. Well I'm glad to know he is doing well and glad now that he knows that he is missed by so many and that may get him back on here sooner...........
