I heard last evening that some of the folks on the Medicare Advantage program are having policy issues and may be losing their Advantage policies so you might want to check you Advantage policy shoot. I didn't get all the numbers that it was effecting...... :stunned: :stunned:

Well , all I know is I am stuck with about 100 Chocolate Chip  soft Granola bars but not because I didn't want to give them out. The weather played a very big roll in keeping kids in doors for the most part. We had some very high winds and rain all evening here. Oh well, I guess I have plenty of snacks now I can eat. At least I am smart enough to buy something I like to eat just in case of issues like this............. :rock: :rock: :rock:

I'm glad that the students in this case spoke up when they realized this kid had issues. I hope more kids learn to do that when they begin to see warning signs about fellow students. They were thinking positively and that is a good thing............jmho

Well lets see. A family of 4 will be getting 36.00 less a month in food stamps. That means instead of eating Lobster they will be reduced to eating T bone steaks and Rib Eyes. Gosh I hate it for them. I have watched those people many times in check out lines and most carts are loaded with the most expensive products money can buy in the stores. Instead of buying quantity products that would go farther they choose to buy much less and eat like they are Bill Gates or Trump. Just shows how ignorant these people really are. Somewhere I read that if the farm bill  gets cut the price of milk per gallon will triple in price and Eggs, bacon and a loaf of bread will look like the prices that were being changed in Alaska during the building of the pipeline. Eggs , 12.00 a dozen. Bacon 15.00 a pound. Bread 6.00 a loaf. A bag of flour  12.00. I wonder how that would set with folks in this economy?

I didn't need the military to pound it into me that I was something special. Like Chuck I had a father that pounded it into me that I was not any better than anyone else and we all put our pants on the same way and if I was going to succeed in this world I was going to have to work hard to get it because no one was going to give me anything without wanting my SOUL in return. I promise you that you won't get an argument out of me to how BCBS does business. I was just expressing a fact that they were advertising. I had my bout with them back in 1987 and had it not been for a very good friend who was also a great attorney they would have screwed me but he stopped them in their tracks and helped me a lot and did it for free. I was employed and my employer was a member of Tennessee Gasoline Retailers assoc and we had a Rolls Royce insurance program with BCBS. I had a 3 million dollar medical payout policy that my boss paid 80% of and  paid the other 20 because I requested the high option plan for my family. When my son had his auto accident and received the brain injury and was listed as terminal from the night of the accident he was in a coma for almost 6 months and came out of it slowly. About 8 month while still in the hospital BCBS contacted the Hospital and said they were cancelling my sons coverage at the end of the month. It stated right in their hand book that they could not stop coverage during any benefit period which means until doctor releases them. The hospital social worker came and told me what BCBS was going to do. I went dow to the billing office and asked them if my sons bills were approaching 3 million dollars and they told me no and far from it. They also told me BCBS was know for that stuff. I called them up and they said they were stopping his coverage once the doctors told them he would be a long term patient. I didn't know what to do so I called my buddy and he came up to the hospital and talked with me and picked up my membership book. About two weeks later BCBS was looking at lawsuit papers filed on Breach of Contract charges and their answer was "we choose to fight it in court rather than pay his bills. My friend got the case moved to Nashville on his turf and BCBS didn't bother to fight that. Once that was done and locked in my buddy drove down to Chattanooga and had a meeting with the board of BCBS and he explained his entire plan to them. He was going to have it in Nashville and in the Courtroom would be his doctors, nurses, the patient himself on the life support system and all the news medias and Press he could get to show the jury and the whole country just what kind of company BCBS is. everyone but 3 people were asked to leave the meeting room. After everyone had left the guy at the end of the table had another guy come to him and he whispered and the guy left. About 10 minutes later he came back and whispered in the guys ear. Then all but the guy at the end of the table left. Then the guy at the end of the table made a statement that my sons hospital had been notified that BCBS would be continuing to take care of my sons expenses until at which time he was released from his doctors of 3 million dollars had terminated to coverage. At that point my buddy told him that he would have the suit put on a stay meaning that is could be brought back if they tried it again. When my son passed away in 1990 BCBS had actually paid out 3 million 179,000.00 in his medical expenses. My buddy George owns his own law firm and has 12 lawyers and we are still friends to this day. The only clients they have are large corporations that they work for. They fight large insurance companies every day and they win most of them.   I am sorry for such a long post but no way to write this one short.

Interesting site and sure has some 380 ammo. 1st time I have seen any 380 ammo with bullets packing lead over 95 gr. I don't know if I would be wanting to use anything above 95 gr.  The 103 gr only packs 950lb impact and the 95's they offer have 1052 lbs impact. Thanks for the link though as I know a few guys that might be interested in some of their other ammo sizes.

I have a question pertaining to my 380 ammo. I carry 380 2 different  Bersa's and a 380 Llama which I dearly love but am curious what brand and ammo types most prefer for their 380 guns. At the present time I am loaded with 95 gr FMJ  Fiocchi and 90 gr Adhp Fiocchi ammo and a few boxes of PMC FMJ and  PMC HP's. I am wanting to see if there is another option I might want to look at and look for when I get ready to purchase some more ammo and just looking for more ideas.

I think your right on having pursuit cars close by for back up if needed. And yea their would be extra tickets plus maybe jail time in some cases....jmho

I was watching the World Series game last and during a couple of the commercial breaks Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Tennessee ran advertisements that you can call them for a quote on Medical Insurance Premiums. Do ya'll think that they are planning on the ACA program imploding in on itself and that folks will be going back to old way of buying insurance? I wonder if they know something we don't know?

I'm all for it. Stop and think that the job of the THP is to patrol our highways and that is their main job. They are not out there for any other reason and they didn't buy the truck. It was seized in a drug bust. Texting and driving became against the law I think back on July 1 of this year. I think it is as dangerous if not more dangerous than drunk driving because more young drivers are doing it than there are drunk drivers. My Grandson is or was a great example of texting while driving and also listening to a GPS that gives him directions verbally. Twice he wreck a car while Texting. First time he rana stop sign and t boned a pickup truck and totaled his car and thank GOD no one was hurt. 2 months later, another car and texting again and hit another car in the rear that stopped for a light and he didn't. Then a 3rd car with a verbal GPS telling him directions and he may have been texting then also but swears he was not. It's dark and GPS tells him to turn left onto barker road and he immediately turns left and drove directly in a deep ditch about 15 feet before reaching the road he was suppose to turn on. In my opinion they have put far to many toys for adults to play with in new cars and are very distracting for many drivers but that is............jmho

I don't know why you should be amazed about people today. Most people are so involved in their own lives that they have no clue what the person next to them is doing?  I have watched many news programs where they send a reported out with a mic and interview folks on the street and ask them a question that back 25 years ago 99% of folks could answer and today you will find maybe 1 in 50 that can answer the simplest questions. I saw one guy ask about 30 people who the Vice President is right now and 2 got it right and most said they have no idea. Another guy was out asking questions about the health care issues taking place right now and his question was which plan do you like better? ObamaCare or the Affordable Care Act and some said the ACA and others said Obamacare. They were so unconnected that they didn't know it was the same thing. Then there was the guy on a bus I think that pulled out a semi auto assault type pistol on the crowed bus and waved it around for about 5 minutes in plan sight and it was only when he began shooting that people were aware he had this gun. The Bus video caught it all on tape and it was a good 5 minutes that he had the gun out in plan sight and not one person saw it or paid any attention to it. So your amazed at people just walking by this girl on a rail and riding a bike past her or driving by and not stopping. Now stop and think about this. These same people vote!!!!!!

I think old new items are brought back into the news when ever this administration gets in trouble so they bring back old news in a feeble attempt to draw attention away from what is going on now. That case was settled long ago and a jury of his peers found the shooter not guilty and the case should have ended right there. Done deal case closed but the news medias cannot let it die when ever they need to as a diversion from something else.............jmho

As best I can tell she plans on only giving out letters and no candy period but might be wrong. I think her decision to do this is right out of the Michelle Obama hand book. Cheaper to hand out letters than candy too. I am passing out mini granola soft and chewy bars from Quaker Oats this year. Picked them up at Sams. Box of 48 for $7.99. Got two boxes of them and if I have any left I will eat them as they are good and healthy. I don't get a lot of kids but get some so wanted to be ready anyway. I know my great grand kids like them because they eat some every time they visit.

  Good point Jacob. I think if we show them in 2014 that We The People decide who stays and who goes and not the other way around we can regain control of our country. We need to talk to ever uneducated or under educated people in our neighborhoods and work places we can I believe take our country back but we need to begin now and not let up till the day of the elections. You need to decide on who your going to throw your support behind and then start working on swinging the under educated voters in that direction. I really think that many voters are disgusted with what is going on in our country and are becoming more aware off all the lies they have been told.and even now with some of the pet news medias beginning to move more to the middle and talking about the lies they have been told it is going to be easier to swing many voters if they are shown how and who they should support..........jmho

This is exactly why I posted a while back that we all need to begin getting focused on 2014 mid-term election and make sure we keep the House and get the Senate so they will not ratify that damn UN treaty Kerry was stupid enough to sign. If the Democrats gain the house and keep the Senate that will be at the top of the list of things for a complete Democratic controlled Congress to do is ratify it. Folks, this is just my opinion but the mid term elections of 2014 is going to be the most important election this country has ever faced in recent history. Even more important than the 2012 election. WE THE PEOPLE need to make very sure Obama is a totally Lame Duck President his last two years and the Congress has to power to remove him from office if he ever farts and anyone can smell it. Right now the Democrats are running away from Obama like he is some kind of contagious disease. They all know that he is making their re-election bids damn near impossible to win and his ACA lies are just that LIES and the American people are vastly becoming aware that he has lied to them over and over and over and so have his cronies. His pet news media's are even beginning to turn on him. Talk to your friend and have then talk to their friends and lets take back Washington DC for the people but more for the Sake of the Country. Have meetings with friends and cook outs with friends and neighbors and talk about this.............jmho

I think that was me that said all police forces should have a set of rules to how they handle people with HCP's. If they run a license and that person has an HCP it is going to come back as the person possibly being armed but if they come back with a clean record which they must have in order to have an HCP then that should put them at ease rather than make it worse. At the present time there are over 400,000 Tennesseans with HCP's so police officers should know that in many cases the possibility of stopping an HCP person is growing every day.............jmho

I guess there have been a lot of answers as what folks would do both pros and cons on the issue. If the officer that makes the stop will learn soon as he runs your DL that you also have an HCP. I would rather they have both my DL and my HCP when he walks back to his car than to learn about it and know he has to walk back up to your car and know that he is walking up to a vehicle with a possibly armed person in it. It can make some officers uneasy while others will take it in stride with just a little caution.......JMHO

Now this is just my thought but I think the American people are beginning to wake up to just what has happened and that for the most part made one of the biggest mistakes in their lives when they voted Obama into office the first time. Going up against McCain/Palin ticket was a cake walk. The Democrats were not as sure about the re-election so they knew they might have to rig the election. Enter George Soros. His company was one of the companies elected(by who I am not sure) to send the vote counting off shore to one of his companies in Spain to count the votes. Why does an off shore company count ballots in a Presidential election held n the United States. That has never been done in the history of this country until 2012. George Soros is one of Obama's biggest money backers. How could anyone believe there would be a true vote count under those circumstances? Then they make sure that none of the troops that are out of country don't get to vote by delaying getting the absentee ballots to them in time to vote and get them back for counting. He knew the troops would not be a favorable vote so he screwed them. My grand son was in Afghanistan and his entire outfit didn't get to vote and they were very pissed about it. Now with all of that said we have what we have and now "We the People" are at the mercy of a bunch of maniacs in D.C. and that is on both sides of the isle in some cases such as McConnell. Alexander and Corker to name a few turncoat traitors that have refused to listen to the people that elected them. So where do we go from here? Will the country survive till the 2014 mid term elections? Will the ballot boxes be rigged again? I know this. We all need to be talking to everyone we know and see how folks are thinking and see just how many folks we can get to the booths to vote these traitors out of office. I am doing it everyday and I hope most folks are doing it here also.......................jmho
