I bought a 32 inch Vizio LED for my bedroom about 2 years ago at Walmart while on sale for 149.00 and it works great and have not had 1 minutes trouble with it. Have DVD player on it and complete surround sound on it and it works great.

Academy Sports upset me a bit yesterday
bersaguy replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
All I can say you have the patience of a Saint my friend. If that would have been me and I was on crutches just to get into the store and I got treated like that everyone in the store would have known how I felt because I would have found an intercom phone and announced it to the whole store. I don't have that kind of patience at all when it comes to poor service and I don't care what store it is. A few folks here mentioned that it may be because they probably get a 100 phone calls a day. That is not an excuse for employees doing the job they are paid to do and the employer expects them to do. I don't know which Academy Store you went to but the one were have in Goodlettsville here near Nashville you would have never gone through that. They are very quick about answering the phone or if your in the store they an employee will always politely ask you if the can help you with something. I shop there quite often if I get with in 5 miles of it I always stop in just to go to gun section not just looking for ammo but to drool and slobber ll over the counter at the high end weapons I would love to have but know I can't afford.............jmho -
Need smith in Nashville / Lebanon area.

Yea, Sam is not really a people person per say but once you get past that part you will love his work and in most cases his prices.......jmho -
A friend of mine sent me that about a month ago. They are the black leaders of many different black organizations that are mostly located in big cities. We have a few white organizations but they remain behind the scenes for the most part. Masons are one of them, Scottish Rights are another but because they don't make good news items they are seldom heard from. My brother is a Mason is how I know about them.

Many actors from years past were remarkable people. John Wayne, Lee Marvin, Robert Mitchum, Audey Murphy and so many others did serve their country with honors in the military prior to becoming actors. Lee Marvin is buried in Arlington Cemetery in Washington DC. These were people of integrity and honor. Hollywood today is not the Hollywood of years ago. I take what the actors of today say with a grain of salt and just let it roll off my back and go on. There may be a couple out there that are true patriots but they are like many politicians and will either not say anything against the establishment for fear of losing their jobs. The ones that have enough money and don't need to work again that are finally coming out and expressing their true feelings..............jmho

If and that is a very big "IF" we can gain control of the Senate with the majority and keep the House Reid is gone (1st good thing.) Botox Pelosi is gone (2nd good thing) If we can gain the majority in the Senate and keep the House Obama Care or ACA or what ever they are calling it now can be completely repealed but the Repub's better have a plan to replace it immediately upon the repeal. Obama can veto it but the Senate and the House can over ride his Veto and put the plans in play. Then they can begin impeachment proceedings against him and his cronies and he won't be in power his last two years of his term and that would be a bonus for the entire country............jmho

Guess who's going into the gun business November 16th (AR's and 1911's)
bersaguy replied to a topic in General Chat
Yea but you have to remember he is kinda from the Dark Side anyway so why not have a black website that hurts your eyes to read it?..........jmho -
I bought one about a year ago from a buddy that needed some money and asked me if I would buy it and I asked him what he wanted for it. He does have an HCP also but he only wanted $125.00 for it in the original Cedar box and had both cylinders and had never been shot. I told him I would hold the gun for 60 days to give him the opportunity to get it back because I knew he was just in a temporary pinch for funds. After 6 months I called him and he said it was mine and he was not going to get it back. I showed it to a buddy of mine also an HCP guy and he pull 2 Ben Franklin's out of his pocket and asked if that would buy it. When he left I had 2 folding Ben Franklins and he had a Rough Rider with I think the 4 or4.5 inch barrel. It was not something I would go out of my way to buy but couldn't pass on the price.

Proof pretty much the 22 ammo thing is about over
bersaguy replied to a topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I hope tanker is right about the 22's. I really have good supply but I know there are alot of folks still looking for them. I would buy more if I get a chance because even though I have a good supply I would like to be able to buy some 22WMR's and 22 lr's and do some shooting again. I have held off doing any because I didn't want to dig into my stock to shoot any. -
Oh a similar topic my Son in law decided to see if he could go on the site and get a quote. My daughter said she thought she was going to have to use smelling sauce to get him to wake back up after he almost passed out from sticker shock. Right now through his employer he pays $159.00 a month and his company pays $140.00 a month towards it. He has a $250.00 deductible and drug coverage. When the plan he is on goes away this coming year when his company drops the insurance for employees even though they have under 50 employees. When he saw the prices on the exchange ACA program he about fainted. His premium cost out of pocket will be $396.00 a month for him and his wife and his deductible will be $3,000.00 before the ACA plan begins paying. Has anyone ever noticed that when the ACA Exchange is discussed on news networks and I mean any of them the deductibles are never discussed. Just the Premium costs are mentioned? He said that he would be able to afford the Premium but would strain his budget but there is no way he could afford the premiums and a deductible that high so he is going to pay the penalty to being with once his company drops the plan. His boss has also said that his company dropping the insurance is not edged in stone yet and they are looking at other options and talking to their present insurance company to see what can be worked out. I think it is the deductibles that are driving people away from the ACA more than it is the premiums but that is ..........jmho

A real..ummmmm.....I dont know what to call scum like this..
bersaguy replied to a topic in General Chat
I am proud to be a Red Neck and you can bet I will be doing two things that drives Obama nuts and I love it when he calls it out. 1 is I will cling to my guns and 2 I will cling to my Bible. This scumbag that has the feelings and the thoughts he is willing to state does have the right to say them and he can thank a soldier for that right and I think rather then put him in prison with Bubba I think he should be required to go through a 15 week Basic Training program in a Marine Boot Camp and should be required to remain there until he is able to complete the entire program in a satisfactory manner according to his Drill Instructor. I figure it would take him about a year or better if he makes it then. But he should have to finish the entire course before he gets to leave...............jmho -
I realize this is a rather long read but I have read it in the past and a friend sent it to me again this morning and requested I forward it. I thought I would forward it here as I think it is a great reminder of truth. Cemetery Watchmen . My friend Kevin and I are volunteers at a National cemetery in Oklahoma and put in a few days a month in a 'slightly larger' uniform. Today had been a long, long day and I just wanted to get the day over with and go down to Smokey's and have a cold one. Sneaking a look at my watch, I saw the time, 16:55 . Five minutes to go before the cemetery gates are closed for the day. Full dress was hot in the August sun Oklahoma summertime was as bad as ever--the heat and humidity at the same level--both too high. I saw the car pull into the drive, '69 or '70 model Cadillac Deville, looked factory-new. It pulled into the parking lot at a snail's pace.. An old woman got out so slow I thought she was paralyzed; she had a cane and a sheaf of flowers--about four or five bunches as best I could tell. I couldn't help myself. The thought came unwanted, and left a slightly bitter taste: 'She's going to spend an hour, and for this old soldier, my hip hurts like hell and I'm ready to get out of here right now!' But for this day, my duty was to assist anyone coming in. Kevin would lock the 'In' gate and if I could hurry the old biddy along, we might make it to Smokey's in time. I broke post attention. My hip made gritty noises when I took the first step and the pain went up a notch. I must have made a real military sight: middle-aged man with a small pot gut and half a limp, in marine full-dress uniform, which had lost its razor crease about thirty minutes after I beganthe watch at the cemetery. I stopped in front of her, halfway up the walk. She looked up at me with an old woman's squint. 'Ma'am, may I assist you in any way?' She took long enough to answer. 'Yes, son. Can you carry these flowers? I seem to be moving a tad slow these days.' 'My pleasure, ma'am.' (Well, it wasn't too much of a lie.) She looked again. 'Marine, where were you stationed?' ' Vietnam , ma'am.. Ground-pounder. '69 to '71.' She looked at me closer. 'Wounded in action, I see. Well done, Marine. I'll be as quick as I can.' I lied a little bigger: 'No hurry, ma'am.' She smiled and winked at me. 'Son, I'm 85-years-old and I can tell a lie from a long way off.. Let's get this done. Might be the last time I can do this. My name's Joanne Wieserman, and I've a few Marines I'd like to see one more time..' 'Yes, ma 'am. At your service.' She headed for the World War I section, stopping at a stone. She picked one of the flower bunches out of my arm and laid it on top of the stone. She murmured something I couldn't quite make out.. The name on the marble was Donald S. Davidson, USMC: France 1918. She turned away and made a straight line for the World War II section, stopping at one stone I saw a tear slowly tracking its way down her cheek. She put a bunch on a stone; the name was Stephen X.Davidson, USMC, 1943. She went up the row a ways and laid another bunch on a stone,Stanley J. Wieserman, USMC, 1944.. She paused for a second and more tears flowed. 'Two more, son, and we'll be done' I almost didn't say anything, but, 'Yes, ma'am. Take your time.' She looked confused.. 'Where's the Vietnam section, son? I seem to have lost my way.' I pointed with my chin. 'That way, ma'am.' 'Oh!' she chuckled quietly. 'Son, me and old age ain't too friendly.' She headed down the walk I'd pointed at. She stopped at a couple of stones before she found the ones she wanted. She placed a bunch onLarry Wieserman, USMC, 1968, and the laston Darrel Wieserman, USMC, 1970. She stood there and murmured a few words I still couldn't make out and more tears flowed. 'OK, son, I'm finished. Get me back to my car and you can go home.' Yes, ma'am. If I may ask, were those your kinfolk?' She paused. 'Yes, Donald Davidson was my father, Stephenwas my uncle, Stanleywas my husband,Larryand Darrelwere our sons. All killed in action, all Marines.' She stopped! Whether she had finished, or couldn't finish, I don't know. She made her way to her car, slowly and painfully. I waited for a polite distance to come between us and then double-timed it over to Kevin, waiting by the car. 'Get to the 'Out' gate quick.. I have something I've got to do.' Kevin started to say something, but saw the look I gave him. He broke the rules to get us down the service road fast. We beat her. She hadn't made it around the rotunda yet. 'Kevin, stand at attention next to the gatepost. Follow my lead.' I humped it across the drive to the other post. When the Cadillac came puttering around from the hedges and began the short straight traverse to the gate, I called in my best gunny's voice: 'TehenHut! Present Haaaarms!' I have to hand it to Kevin; he never blinked an eye--full dress attention and a salute that would make his DI proud. She drove through that gate with two old worn-out soldiers giving her a send-off she deserved, for service rendered to her country, and for knowing duty, honor and sacrifice far beyond the realm of most. I am not sure, but I think I saw a salute returned from that Cadillac. Instead of 'The End,' just think of 'Taps.' As a final thought on my part, let me share a favorite prayer: 'Lord, keep our servicemen and women safe, whether they serve at home or overseas. Hold them in your loving hands and protect them as they protect us.' Let's all keep those currently serving and those who have gone before in our thoughts. They are the reason for the many freedoms we enjoy. 'In God We Trust.' Sorry about your monitor; it made mine blurry too! If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under!

Gosh it don't work that way at my house. I end up buying for the Dog in this house and I really don't mind since she is my best friend and has been with me 16 years this month. I already know what she wants and that is a couple large bags Jacks Links beef jerky, Jacks Link Turkey Jerky, and a bag of Chicken breasts cooked in Crock pot for Christmas dinner............

Most folks are beginning to develop the same thoughts I have on these shootings. They are becoming more frequent because the economy is driving some to just do it for meanness and others are just plain stupid. Like someone mentioned it is becoming about as news worthy as Chicago shootings. A buddy of mine that still is stupid enough to live up there told me that the shootings don't even make front page anymore but are on 3rd or 4th page of Chicago news papers now and a lot of them don't even make TV news at all any more.

Well I think there is a possibility that both were wrong. He was rude, that is true but does anyone here know his situation. Does he suffer from any type of PTSD? Even the slightest amount could cause that type of action but then he could just be a butt head. Now as for the employee, I think she was wrong in standing her ground and protecting about 35 cents worth of food that was being offered by McDonalds across the nation. I would be willing to bet had the manager been on site the man would have been served and this incident would have never happened. Had I been the employee and they offered up any form of proof of being in the military they would have got the Big Mac but thats just how I am.............jmho

Vaccumm issues can drive a person nuts for sure. Could be an EGR valve stuck half open. Could be a bad PVC Valve in valve cover. Might try tapping top of EGR with a hammer to make sure its not stuck. I know this may be reaching but have seen it in the past. You might want to look at your fuel filler cap. If the vent gets stopped up it will create a vaccum in the fuel system and act like a vapor lock.............

Fox just reported a school shooting just minutes ago.

Well, when I had firefox it came with a program called Monzilla. And when I would visit a site it would say Monzilla fire fox. I have not just tried firefox by itself. Like I said I am 95% illiterate on these things. When I go check my email on google it requests I updtae my browser and Chrome if offered and firefox is offer, Safari is offered and Opera is offere and all are free downloads. I know soon I am going to have to upgrade my computer or buy a new one as theis one is about 10 years old and still running windows xp. I have got afew messages telling me windows xp will be going away in December. Probably going to get a ap top this time with all the new upgades since my grandson works for Dell might have him get me one on his discount. Just need to keep this one going for a couple more months. Avg says that firefox was slowing down my computer but may be because of the Monzilla program. I might just see if I can download just firefox and see if it brings monzilla with it? I can always remove it if it does and shop elsewhere. Again thansk for all the help folks. Bersayguy
