Well if I am not mistaken doesn't Diane Frankenstein and Gabby Giffords husband and about 90% of all the other Anti-Gunners at one time or another admitted that they own guns themselves. I have read where many of them are gun owners. I guess this falls under the category of    "Do as I say, Not as I do."     huh????  I would be willing to bet that most of the Justices on the Supreme Court carry on along with most of the people in Congress when not in Washington with the body guards.....jmho

I was just reading an article about Gabby Gifford and her husbands anti-gun organization and they are at a New York Gun show to discuss the fact that there are no back ground checks at Gun Shows.  Now I don't know about all folks here but I for one have never purchased a gun at a show that I did not have a back ground check done on me prior to receiving the gun. Where do they get their information from that Gun Shows don't do back ground checks. Are they talking about parking lot sales at gun shows maybe? I have never bought a parking lot gun but I do see some transactions take place that way. But with that said a transaction between two individuals would be hard to do a back ground check on that to begin with plus they are not illegal I don't think but I could be wrong about that?.......... :stunned: :stunned:

  Timestepper, you are not a leech and you have nothing to be ashamed of. You have worked hard to provide for your family and you ran into a streak of bad luck and you are deserving of all the benefits you are receiving and I for one will never look down on anyone that has worked hard all their lives and then falls on hard times through not fault of their own. I am glad to you were able to get the help you needed because most deserving folks cannot get it............ :up: :up:

They don't have to worry about anyone going after the Presidential Impersonator. They went there to prove a point and I think they are doing a real good job of that. They went there to show him and the rest of those people in Washington that when it comes to being Americans we are that and more and you can bet the politicians are watching..........jmho

To me Gun Brokers has always been a little screwed up and yea. The folks selling guns on there think all of their guns are lined in gold. That is why when you see guns listed that have been on there for a month and received zero bids tells you right off not to bother even looking at the gun.........jmho

More people own 22's than most other guns is the main issue with getting ammo for them I would imagine.

Well I have kind of thought it was being run by a bunch of people behind the scenes that are more of less the puppet masters and Obama, Reid. Pelosi, And even some of the Republicans like McCain and several others in the Senate are getting their strings jerked. I think Boehner  may have had some strings attached to him recently but for the most part I do agree with folks that said Ted Cruz is showing his backbone and flexing a little muscle along with a few other Republican Freshmen and women in Congress and keeping the Speaker at bay to a point. I think they are actually helping the Speaking by giving him someone to blame for his not being able to just give Harry the farm. I keep hearing how the main stream media was dumping all the blame on the GOP but as of recently their has been some Democrats in the Senate that are beginning to show some weak knees and quietly backing away from Dirty Harry. I also have been hearing that some of the news medias that have been far left have began slowly moving to the middle because they are not sure how this is going to work out.......... :ugh: :ugh: :stunned:

i have been wondering one thing about all of this. When the Supreme Court Ruled on this Bill/Law that ruled on the original Bill the way it was written at that time as being upheld. Since then Obama has made about 17 different changes and alterations to the bill which has made the bill much different than the way it was written originally. Why can't it be challenged with the new changes in the Supreme Court and see if it still is approved again by the Justices with it being re written with the changes Obama has made to it.....Just wonder if someone may have any ideas?

I would really appreciate it if someone would please tell me who is actually the President of the United States because I am confused. I hear one man that says he is the President say one thing that looks to be a positive move toward some kind of agreement and he no more than says that and then I see this guy in a gray suit with wired rimmed Glasses standing at a microphone and say flatly that they would not be doing that!!!!! and then just turn around and walk away from the reporters. While in the military I learned to speak fluent Vietnamese and back when I had a land line with caller ID and I didn't recognize the number I would answer in Vietnamese and all I would hear is click and get dial tone. Now I have a cell and don't get any of the calls.

Ok , going back to my child hood. Lived up north were it gets really cold. One day before school in second grade. One of those dare double dare deals that kids play. I stuck my tongue to a cold aluminum flag pole. Required local fire department to get my tongue released from the pole unharmed.   In my later years while Bass fishing a tournament and being focused on fishing I walked right off the deck of my Skeeter and into the lake, not once but 5 times over the years. Slow learner I guess.

I heard several things about it but I am not expecting it to be much. 20 years ago maybe but in today's environment I don't see it happening. If it does it won't do much if anything except makes news story on page 5 and might get a paragraph. Will be surprise if it actually happens........jmho 

Well shooter i have spoke with about 20 people about the ACA sign ups of which 3 or them are professional Computer Programers and they have told me that it is going to take a minimum of 10 months for them to get even close to getting the networks to sign up for the program to any kind of workable solutions. They said that the programs are so complicated and are stretched out over so many different programs that even 10 months is iffy at best. They have spent over 650 million dollars on the programs and are not even remotely close to having a working network. I think that by just what people are going through trying to sign up for it and getting so frustrated with it that by the time they do get a working program folks for the most part are have already given up on even trying to sign up for it. Very possibly the ACA will implode on itself without help from GOP..........jmho

I have always just hung up my peppers and had great success with them. Once they are dried out completely we will take a meat mallet , put the peppers in a plastic bag and beat them gently till they are ground up quite well and then bottle them in glass bottles and put them up. I have a 10 tray dehydrator that I use to use to make jerky with but cannot afford the Brisket any more to make it with but will be making a bunch up this fall. Going in a 2 partners with and buying 1800 lb heifer to have processed. Bought the cow last Spring and farmer has been fattening her on only corn silage and pasture grass of alfalfa with clover. Will be making some Jerky this year. We are also getting two hogs to have processed each one about 350 lbs. All being corn fed and no chemicals. Have known the farmer for about 25 years and these guys have been buying from him for last 10 years.

I have a first aid kit but it is a very advanced version and I keep adding a little here and there things I might need.  Daughter is a nurse so she helps out in recommending things from time to time.

Lets look at the money issue on the debt. Obama said is was a  shame that Bush spent almost 4 trillion in 8 years and was fighting two wars. Obama doubled that amount in only 4 years and is fighting what is left of one war in Afghanistan. He as been asked a dozen times to explain his spending policies and he refuses to do so and a not even discuss it. I think it is time for the House to make him explain his spending policies before they give him another blank check. Now if he is building a private army (FEMA and Homeland Security) that he says must be equal to our military. That is going to be expensive along with keeping our military funded along with funding Al Quada with weapons.  Notice the Sequester defunded a lot of our military yet his spending didn't slow any. Also where is he getting all of this civilian army from. I don't know of anyone that is a member of it???..........jmho

It has been determined that most cancer victims have a gene in their family tree and that in most cases it is a genetic caused cancer. That is why doctors will ask you if you have cancer in your family. Whats strange is back many years ago when our air quality was bad less people had cancer. Now we have better air quality and more cancer victims. There has been more than a trillion dollars spent on cancer research and they are no closer to a cure now than they were 20+ years ago. In all honesty I don't believe that. I think they may have really discovered a cure long ago when they discovered it was genetic but it is such a money maker for the medical industry they really are just not ready to give up the profits yet. My doctor has told me that I have small splotches of skin cancer from sun exposure which I have known it for many years after spending 15 years fishing Bass tournaments and spending many days a week out in the sun. I talked it over with her(my doctor) and I told her that it does not bother me and does not hurt so I am not planning on doing anything to aggravate and make it worse. I don't fish all that much any more and most of that is now at night. She respected my decision and has never mentioned it again.
