  1. If I were still a policeman I would disarm you until I was ready to cut you loose too. I wouldn't know you from Adam, and it's better to be safe than sorry. I'd also be a heck of a lot more likely to let you go with a warning because you paid me the courtesy of informing me that you were armed.
  2. I vote the M&P since I have one. It's pretty weighty for its size, but the dang thing is incredibly strong. Long story short, I had a screw-up on my scale, and I was shooting way over-charged +P out of it for several rounds before I realized the problem. The weapon showed no ill-effects from it.
  3. The number of uninformed criticisms of this doctor are astounding. How many who've commented negatively here are actually doctors? Unless the laws have changed dramatically in the 10 years since I practiced, doctors are running a business just like many on this forum. They are not required to treat you simply because you walked through their door similar to a business reserving the right to refuse service to someone. Doctors are required to treat emergency cases, (such as they cannot drive on past a traffic accident - although some do), but they do not have to accept you as a patient if it is not an emergency. How likely is it that an emergent urology patient walks through his door rather than the emergency room? Once the doctor accepts you as a patient they cannot simply abandon you. They must have someone taking over, (hence why they have on-call coverage when they take vacations and such). Once you are referred out or recovered they have no more responsibility for you. You, of course, are free too see how your doctor feels about any issue and then decide to go to another doctor. It's your choice.
  4. Must not be much of a strategy if Southerners are not intimately familiar with it.
  5. I am in sales, and perhaps my standards are too high, but a customer shouldn't be required to get to know the staff to get appropriate service. I would expect something like this from a chain store like Bass Pro Shops, but not a small shop. I am one who is willing to pay more for good service than cheap-out for bad service.
  6. So go with a 124 gr HST.
  7. The guy wasn't a buddy. This was some guy that came in off the street during the wedding reception according to the article.
  8. Word is that gun was made to shoot rubber bullets. If that's true maybe Igor thought Pavel would just get a headache.
  9. That is the epitome of a WTF moment?
  10. Ok...how come it frig'n works for you and not me?
  11. And I can't get the link to work here! http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=223_1269292617 I don't understand the language, but I swear the last word is "idiot!"
  12. I sure wish there was a shop like C R in the Nashville area. C R is in downtown Kansas City, Missouri on baltimore Street, and the place is huge relative to the gun shops in the Nashville area. You could go there for all your handgun, rifle, black powder, reloading, bow, or hunting needs. I particularly miss having a place where you could buy reloading equipment at reasonable prices. Seems the only place within reasonable driving distance of where I work and live is The Reloader's Bench in Mt. Juliet, but their selection isn't all that great, and the prices can be really whacked-out. For instance, Midway has the 110 volt Lyman 1200 DPS for $279.99 without tax and $11.71 for shipping coming to $291.70. The same thing at Reloader's Bench is $330 plus tax coming to about $$360.53! What makes them think someone would pay darn near $70 more for the same thing? Personally, I like to touch and feel the stuff before I buy, but that kind of difference is just nuts! Then, more often than not, when I go in there it's as if they don't care about my business. Several times nothing has been said to me until I go to the counter to check-out, and then they'll look at each other as if silently deciding who loses the draw to check me out. Is there a better option in the South Nashville area for reloading equipment?
  13. The pirates probably figured that our wuss of a president would make the frigate disengage and run. I guess the captain didn't call the Wuss in Charge for guidance.
  14. IMHO, there is certainly a reason the match bullets are BT rather than FB because of lower drag. I load 75 gr BTHP (Hornady), for my DMR which has a 1-10 twist, so as far as loads are concerned I can't say.
  15. That was cool!
  16. He's got a 4.0...for F's.
  17. Well, opinions are like butt-holes, and here's mine: Bianchi Model 100 Professional.
  18. If you're in the South Nashville, Antioch, La Vergne area ya'll are welcome to visit Mt. View Baptist Church. We're located on the street that runs behind the old Starwood Amphitheater between Murfreesboro Road and Hobson Pike. Services are at 8:00 and 10:30, and you can even hear me sing. Jeans, shorts, it don't matter cuz God don't care. EDIT: Concealed carry is fine.
  19. One can't reason with the unreasonable. Perhaps you should join a convent?
  20. Being a Baptist from the Kansas City area, I am quite familiar with Phelp's group calling themselves Baptist, and I find it offensive. Their group shows that you can form your own religion, call it what you want, and then go screw with anyone under the guise of freedom of speech and religion. It pisses me off! I doubt he is saved, but either way he's got some s'plaining to do.
  21. So it's only illegal if you're caught? Consider the "what if" of you thinking that you can't be seen at the time but a woman can see you, and she reports you to the police...what then? I hardly think that ranks up there with a sexual predator.
  22. Are you saying that you've never pissed outside?
  23. A word of advice: do not cheap-out on things. I did so with a scale. I have no idea how this happened, but without my notice it changed from "grains" to "grams" on me, and I over-charged some 9mm and .45 rounds to magnum levels. Fortunately, the guns didn't blow up on me nor were they damaged. My next purchase is a new electronic powder measure and scale from Hornady.
  24. You're opening a can of worms now! The choices are pretty numerous and opinions will be skewed. It boils down to budget and how much you are going to shoot. I was more interested in more time in Man Land, (aka the garage), but when I get moving I want to move, so I bought a Dillion 550B to load .45, 9mm. 38 Spl, .223, and .308. For the 9mm and .45 I can really crank out the rounds, but since I want to only collet size the rifle rounds it isn't so fast.
