Not rubbing it in. I'm just proud. I haven't shot it yet because I just got the scope mounts last week, and the frigg'n range was packed. I'm going to try Hobson Pike again this Saturday after I load a few 75gr Hornady's for it. The Kobra Carry is certainly more accurate than I am, so when I miss I can only point the finger at myself. It did digest some heavy +P's without a hiccup.

What's wrong with emphasizing to children that guns kill? It seems to me they were trying to teach children that guns are dangerous. What bothered me is them going further to show the robot's anger over killing a deer, and setting it up as if the hunter killed the deer for no reason.

I was a little more than annoyed at what happened. My son was in town, and we both wanted to shoot my new rifle. We went up there hopeful of getting a few rounds in before I had to be at a 3:00pm meeting at church. I didn't think that was possible when we were told of the waiting list, so I left for my meeting. At 3:15 when no one else showed for the meeting I called to find out that it was cancelled, but no one bothered to tell me. I should have blown it off to be with my son rather than be a man of my word to the people running the meeting.

I was at Hobson Pike both Saturday and Sunday. Both days had a wait list for the rifle range. On Saturday I only got pistol shooting accomplished. On Sunday I went there at 2:15, got hit with the wait, and turned around to leave. It was frustrating. I think everyone was out to take advantage of the weather.

I can see the bedwetters having :poop:fits all around the nation!

Agreed, and as long as the person is in fear they are covered. Kind of goes to the statement they make, huh? "Crazy F'r drove up in my yard almost hitting my girlfriend and stopped, so I thought the F'rs were gonna jump out and hurt us!" kind of covers it all.

Cite the law, please. If it's assault or threatening to have a weapon in your hand and not pointing it at someone then there are thousands of hunters and shooters violating the law all across the land every day.

Something else to consider: Most insurance companies have clauses so that they do not cover specific breeds of dogs, and Pitbulls are number 1 on the list. If that dog attacks you do not expect their insurance company to pay out.

Personally, I wouldn't wait for the dog to succeed in biting me or my family. I'd call the authorities to have them do something.

Army soldiers liked the .45 against the Moro warriors because it would travel through the body and stop from the elasticity of the skin on the other side, so I don't think FMJ is a problem with over-penetration: however, I prefer the JHP for carry because I want the round to open up for a larger wound channel. Early JHPs wouldn't open up when shooting a frigg'n jug of water, but modern ammo such as the HST does.

I'd take it to a gunsmith to have a lighter spring installed...well, actually, I'd do it myself, but I don't know if you're comfortable with that. Designers tend to over-build those things for vasrious reasons, but in a 1911 at least you can decrease the recoil spring strength somewhat without problems. Anyhow, let the gunsmith decide what's appropriate.
