  1. I worked on a small department where the Chief told me he'd be happy with just one ticket per shift. We wrote no chicken- tickets either, but in Nashville the officers have no problems with those or trumping-up tickets. The judge doesn't even care if they follow case law or NHTSA training guidelines.
  2. I'll play, but I was sort of right. I thought it was named after the first Marine pilot killed at Guadalcanal, but after checking it out he was the first to die at Midway. So do I get half a Cupie Doll?
  3. Thanks Todd. Curious what they use to load the 110 gr's?
  4. Not to mention the protection from prosecution that we enjoy in this state if the shooting is justified. Now when I was a policeman reloads were definite no-nos.
  5. Done, although I felt kind of silly emailing Naifeh.
  6. My rep is Kent Coleman. I emailed him, but I doubt it'll do any good.
  7. I need recommendations for a good .38 Spl snubby reload for my wife's pistol. I would like something good for defense, (well, as good as a .38 snubby can be), without a lot of flash, so I'm thinking a very fast powder. Recommendations?
  8. Just saw a report on Fox were they captured several coyotes in NEW YORK CITY!!!! Is our world topsy-turvy?
  9. His dog was saying, "Ya! The alpha dog is here now you b!tches. It's on like Donkey-Kong now!"
  10. Well, the last guy put a match to it, so where will the wicks stick out?
  11. The Senate Minority Leader came out against it immediately.
  12. I'm really surprised that they didn't run off. I always understood coyotes to be very fearful of humans. Could they have domestic dog in them? There have been stories of dog pack attacks around the country.
  13. Ed Brown manufactures all of their parts too with their own machining processes. No metal injection there.
  14. Well, he says that he doesn't own a 1911 so he wouldn't be able tell you: however, I do own an Ed Brown, but I've never had to call their customer service. My only complaint: $2,500 for a handgun and I only get one magazine?
  15. That used to REALLY annoy me too when people would come up to you while you are eating your meal to ask you questions.
  16. I have an Ed Brown Kobra Carry, and I love the danged thing! Hands down the most comfortable handgun I've ever held, and the bobbed tail really makes a difference when carrying on the hip even when seated in my truck.
  17. Blocked by our company firewall.
  18. I did the same thing at Golden Eagle in Murfreesboro. I had no idea that they served beer. Since it's a Mongolian BBQ there's no reason to look at the menu. I was in there one day and noticed one of the patrons had a bottle of beer on the table. Perhaps the State whould have thought of that before making stupid laws.
  19. I TIVO'd it and was able to watch it last night. They are falling short on things as far as realism is concerned. This show had them going through an artillery/naval gunfire barrage, and the CG they used just fell short. Perhaps they were saving money, but they did a heck of a lot better job with the airburst scene in the forrest outside the town of Foy in BoB. You could tell during the battle scenes that they were using the same shots over and over. I mean, WTF? Could they be more obvious?
  20. IMHO it's not complacency; it's lack of choice. Look at the posts here on this forum. The vast majority of Americans are in the center, yet the majority of people on here think in terms of absolute right without compromise, and many of those are based on only one or two main issues, (abortions or 2A for example). This country should be run by the consensus of the majority; not the minority. Given two choices that do not reflect your views you either are forced to "vote for the lessor of two evils" or apathy. Most voters choose apathy, (according to statistics), but the rest swing between left and right giving us idiots such as Obama. How about standing behind the Democrats who voted against this legislation? What about standing behind the people who are most likely to be elected rather than standing by the most polarizing figure? Oh, how I wish the silent majority would stand-up and shout as one!
  21. Kind of preaching to the choir.
  22. Perhaps someone will take Bart out and summarily execute him along with the rest who voted for the bill? Isn't that how treason is punished?
  23. I remember a T-shirt from the 80's that read, "Kill them all, and let God sort them out!"
