  1. Ok, so the wife and I went to On Target to do some shooting last Saturday, and when we were done I decided to check out the inventory. They had a full sized Kimber with rails for $2,000 that appeared to be quite...fancy. It was certainly heavier than my Colt 1911 and obviously had a hefty price tag, so I wasn't interested in that particular weapon: however, it did get me thinking about the fit, finish, feel and trigger of the Kimbers. One of the employees told me that they were getting in 10 more Kimbers shortly. I was wondering if Kimber owners would please post up any pros and cons on the weapons? I'm a big guy with big hands, and I'm interested in the Commander and full sized weapons. I like the looks of the Raptor II's and particularly the Grand Raptor II, but I would probably prefer the fixed carry sights with the caveat that I haven't seen a bar-dot night sight.
  2. I've had to go through that myself, but my buddy was only 2.5 years old. But he went everywhere but work with me. Hardest thing I had to do when he got terminally sick.
  3. Get Started - Install Silverlight | Microsoft Silverlight
  4. Patrick Stegall has already commented to me that he would require payment in full from a client who wanted to sue the shooter after a good shoot.
  5. What he said. It's just Microsoft trying to expand their empire.
  6. I can't believe that we're going to debate this bull- again with a newby. I'm out.
  7. You ARE legally responsible for everything that happens to anyone on your property regardless of whether they were invited or not. Are you not aware of lawsuits by burglars for being hurt while committing crimes?
  8. Then you should agree that the property owner would assume liability for those actions if their employee is the victim of a violent crime on the way home...right?
  9. He looks embarrassed!
  10. No way to know what...that he'll chase you or catch you? The latter may be uncertain for you, but not for a 49 year old such as myself. As for the former you need to look to experience. If you don't want to trust the judgement of a former police officer such as myself that's fine, but perhaps you should trust research. This link is a good example: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/34906-what-fbi-learned-about-gangsta-thug-mentality.html EDIT: Looking behind you while running in a sprint is a darn good way to trip or run into something making the issue of catching you more certain.
  11. He better hope that she has one heck of a sense of humor after posting that on the web. Thanks for the laugh!
  12. My little buddy at 6 months old and 53 lbs. He's now a year and 100+ lbs
  13. That guy was demonstrating his power in a primal fashion, and if you were to get out of the vehicle he would have seen that as a challenge: therefore, he'd run you down if he could.
  14. If this guy was well known to "Metro" I would think they'd applaud you for getting rid of him for them. How many of you would have gotten out of the car if someone smacked it with a wrench? Changes the game a bit, huh?
  15. I sure don't play to lose!
  16. EDIT: My information is based on 1979 when I was considering the Air Force. Things do change. I still question that a professional organization would train someone to clear anything by their self.
  17. You misunderstand when I say when they should have played the card sooner. I didn't mean initiate the bill at the time, rather, threaten the bill earlier. And Curry essentially said it was retaliatory when he was asked if it was in response to the restaurant carry bill being challenged.
  18. United States Air Force Security Forces - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia United States Air Force Security Forces (AFSC Enlisted: 3P0XX, formerly 771XX and 811XX; Officer: 31PX), formerly named Air Police (1948), then Security Police (April 1967) are the military police and the air base ground defense forces of the United States Air Force. Following completion of basic training, airmen in this career field go through 13 weeks of technical training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, with the 343rd Training Squadron, known as the Security Forces Academy. Air Force Security Police : Welcome to Air Force Security Police.com USAF: Air Police History Pages! Non Technical Careers - Officer Opportunities in the U.S. Air Force - AirForce.com Seems they haven't been referred to as MPs since they left the Department of The Army, and they have mainly divided into security guards and law enforcement with the latter referred to as SPs. Why do I make this point? Because there are too many falsely claiming to be something they're not in the military, and as a former Marine and police officer it is highly suspect when someone claims to have been trained to clear anything by their self. If someone has been trained in such things and wants to play the odds that's their business, but they shouldn't try to claim that they were trained that way unless they went to -grade class. This is not intended as a slam against you, but rather against your friend.
  19. It's simply a retaliatory shut the up bill. It's telling the people who opposed the restaurant carry law that they are vulnerable to legal retaliation for their actions. IMHO the card should have been played when they filed suit against the law. That would have made those A-holes step back a moment and analyze the situation before proceeding. Well, too late for that now, so now they have to stop and say, "Oh ! They're really coming after me now! Maybe I ought to keep my mouth shut if I want to stay in business?"
  20. Targeting their leadership, (the real one), as well as the Republican Guard and their version or the Gestapo would be far more effective than turning the place to a sea of glass. Don't think Russia wouldn't react to the latter.
  21. Good luck hitting a Rottweiler in the dark, but it's kind of his job to take one for us.
  22. Obviously, I do. I suppose you don't care about how many innocents you kill, but I wonder how you feel when you're treated the same?
  23. Your buddy said that he was an MP in the Airforce, but aren't Airforce police called SP's?
  24. That wouldn't really make me shed a tear as long as it's targeted and not killing millions of civilians. I think the Iranian people are getting to the point that they want change too, and I think they should be helped in that endeavor.
  25. I just gave them bogus info. If they spam, I feel sorry for the guy who owns SWJewell@Comcast.net.
