  1. Actually, the government does not tell us that we have to wear pants. They tell us that we cannot expose our sexual parts to the public. How you cover them is up to you.
  2. I don't know. All I know is that she tested positive, so I assume that she had symptoms. My daughter says that her ex-brother-in-law exposed his mother to it. It's bad timing because my daughter was going to drive up to Kansas City next weekend to pick-up my mother-in-law for a two week visit. We had to scrub that plan because the incubation period is such that my daughter wouldn't be showing symptoms until after picking her up. It's disappointing for everyone, but more so for my MIL. She's been pretty alone since my FIL died last November.
  3. I just found out that my live-in granddaughter's other grandmother just tested positive for COVID after my granddaughter spent the weekend with her. Just great...3 people in this house have problems that put us at risk of this stuff being deadly.
  4. I thought it was a blow-up doll.
  5. I thought it was ketones that they bleed off? The process to make methanol is different.
  6. Hence, the question.
  7. Green Hornet wannabe?
  8. Exactly why Trump needs to make another appointment.
  9. I tend to help myself to the hand sanitizer frequently and keeping my distance, but I'm not wearing masks. The paper masks seem to do a pretty poor job of fitting to my face well enough to do the job. I have a cloth mask with a breathing vent, but I still can't move enough oxygen to be comfortable walking slowly through the grocery store. I bought some inexpensive neck gaiters, but they are too tight and slip down. I did order a couple of Mission gaiters because I know they aren't too tight, and I plan to wear them when I go into the store. Outside I don't care because the sun's UV light kills that crap in seconds. I also supplement my diet with vitamins and extra doses of vitamins C and D. I also suspect that I may have had this crap in January. I went for about a two week period of what I thought was a mild case of viral pneumonia. My pulse oxygen was low and I couldn't breath well. Talked to a VA doctor last Monday who said that I may be right because they now think the virus was in the US and China a couple of months earlier than they thought. I asked if they had any antibody tests for it to which he told me that the current antibody test wasn't very accurate because there are several versions of that type of virus just as there's different types of the flu. He also said that our immunity to this virus is not like polio where you get one shot and it covers you til death. He said it'll probably need annual vaccination like the flue.
  10. I went to the VA last week for a labs. I was told that everyone had to wear a mask inside. When I went into the lab there were 4 employees not wearing masks.
  11. I think he meant the buffer and spring.
  12. One of my sergeants had one of those around 1990. He use to stick the antenna out the window and suction cup it to the roof.
  13. I got the knife with Sonoran Desert Ironwood that Don made for me today. Even my wife thought it was gorgeous!
  14. Yes, that's why I'm interested only in the antibody test.
  15. With all the asymptomatic/mildly symptomatic people, I'm interested in if I've had it already. If I have then I feel that I can get back to my normal life.
  16. Not at 29 Palms. They had a hard enough time keeping the 29 palm trees alive that lined the main road of the base.
  17. I have no experience with that, but I do know that IG Inspectors would check to see if the buffer tube was clean.
  18. In the Marine Corps we did.
  19. Individuals can be smart; people are dumb.
  20. Naw, saw one of my parents friends lose a finger between a dock and the sailboat. They got hit by a wave just as she reached out to grab the dock and lost her right ringer finger in an instant.
  21. If it swelled up that bad I certainly recommend that you see a specialist because that indicates that something tore. The last thing you want is excessive scare tissue forming costing you mobility and constant pain.
  22. My father and uncle put like this, "Growing old ain't for the faint at heart!" It's certainly true.
  23. When I was a kid my parents raced sailboats every Sunday, and go on weekend regattas. I've seen quite a few disasters on the boat ramp. I'd keep my wife far from there so that if something went wrong it wasn't her fault.
  24. 300 times worse than CO2? We should pit the climate change activists against the PETA activists and watch the fun!
