OK if you pulled that out of your brain Rabbi...I don't know if I should be impressed or a bit scared now :-)
  2. Sign up now for a one way trip to gitmo I feel like I need to FDISK now just for clicking on that link
  3. ya know Frank, it's rude to show people things they can't walk out the door with
  4. ya know...people can be hired to hold...things for you strickj :-) hopefully you can rub out that problem in the new year
  5. crap...try this one [ame] [/ame]
  6. This is the only type of gun control I can support. http://www.youtube.com/swf/l.swf?video_id=Y90UPLLo6nY&rel=1&eurl=http%3A//us.f639.mail.yahoo.com/ym/ShowLetter%3FMsgId%3D8898_5234512_105978_2217_794_0_5538_-1_0%26Idx%3D1%26YY%3D56848%26y5beta&iurl=http%3A//img.youtube.com/vi/Y90UPLLo6nY/default.jpg&t=OEgsToPDskJ-GiF-a95DCcYsfSilmAXj&autoplay=1
  7. I know they are closed on the 1st and 2nd for inventory. I didn't hear anything about the hours for today (new years eve). They're pretty fair on pricing, and usually they're willing to haggle a bit. Their range is top notch
  8. It isn't worth it. The chance of getting caught is small...but if it's your unlucky day you're in deep doo with no good way out.

    LDA vs. SA

The SA trigger pull in my opinion feels better than any LDA. The real only plus I saw was carrying a 1911 with no exposed hammer. Made my father in law feel a bit better...now I just keep my cover shirt on and he's none the wiser.
  10. WKRN updated the story on their 6 O'Clock news with the news that the entire SSN was on at least one of the laptops. The Tennessean article also said the same. WTF were they doing on the laptops in the first dang place. Why weren't they on a server somewhere. BGy the time metro got around to doing something for 337,000 people a LOT of fraud will be committed
  11. I've never had to do anything with my MAC addresses with Comcast...they'd blow a gasket if they knew how many systems I had running on my network
  12. Get a wireless router...Linksys routers are decent. You'll want a 802.11 A/B/G router with at least 4 ports. The comcast modem will plus into the routers WAN or INTERNET port. The desktops will plug into one of the 4 ports on the router the laptops will connect via WIFI. If you get a wireless card for one of the desktops (use a PCI internal card...I'm not fond of USB network adapters, but the do make me service call money) then it'll connect just like the laptops. That's the basics of it. Once you get the router, the setup is pretty basic, just make sure you use at least the WEP security settings and for the love of all thats holy change the default admin password on the router.
  13. From the Tennessean: The names, addresses and complete Social Security numbers of more than 337,000 Davidson County voters may be in the hands of thieves. This information could be used by identity thieves. County election officials are warning the public tonight to monitor their credit accounts for any suspicious activity. Someone broke into several county offices over Christmas and stole laptop computers that county officials now believe may have contained Social Security numbers and other personal information for every registered voter in Davidson County. Election officials originally believed the laptop contained only partial Social Security numbers. As we looked deeper into determining the extent of loss that occurred during the holiday break-in, we now know that full social security numbers were included on the voter files contained on one or more of the stolen computers," county election administrator Ray Barrett reported Friday. "Initially, we thought that the only information was the same that the public can purchase when putting together mailing lists, we now know that was incorrect. Take care to protect yourselves...I'm guessing the government isn't going to do SQUAT for you. I personally signed up the wife and I for Lifelock tonight
  14. Can't make up my mind. Now that I've decided the GRP is going to become a rifle I went looking at Guns and Leather today. Missed out on a 1100.00 Sig (fella put it on layaway as I went to look at it) I don't know if the Sigs are THAT much different or "better" than a standard AR to justify the price. For a little more I could get the DPMS clone of the SR25 they have up there. I don't know which way to go on this one.
  15. I'm guessing Metro Nashville
  16. Gift cards to Blockbuster, EBGames, and harbor freight 500 rounds 9mm ammo a Meade computer controlled telescope :-) My gift(s) to me was the Springfield TRP for the TGO IDPA shoots a galco concealable belt holster for the Springer a new LED head for my Surefire 6P
  17. I looked at their website, the one they have posted is from 2005. I wish I would have known about the rule change when i put back the DPMS M4 to pickup the Springfield....but meh....I'll get the M4 in a couple of months.
  18. i know Saturdays Guns and Leather is SLAMMED with range time. I wonder if we could find a range somewhere that would host our matches on Saturday. Joelton is holding classes...so Frank is hogging the range there :-) Stones River would cal SWAT on us the 1st time we broke off the X Gun City...uh...no
  19. I have to agree with Rabbi. When I do my cleaning today, I'm going to put the Warrior and the Springfield on the scales and see what the difference is.
  20. I went out to Guns and Leather today...looking for a PT1911. Ended up trading in a Para I had collecting dust in the safe...and walked out with a Springfield TRP Operator for the same cash (after trade) as the Taurus :-) so I'm ready to shoot
  21. I went by there today. They will be closed form this coming up Sunday until after the new year
  22. Len...whats a Summer county boy doing running around in Franklin :-) They've always seemed to be fair to me when I go in. They are a bit higher on some stuff...but not gouging high in my opinion. I've picked up several pieces there
  23. even without the light?? geez...that is a royal PITFnA for me. All my other 1911s are alloy commander sized pieces. Not really the 1st choice for IDPA from what I've been reading heh...I HAVE been wanting to look at the new Taurus 1911s....hunmm...perhaps all is NOT lost after all
  24. I took the NRA Personal Protection in the home class With Len from HGR Firearms(Instructed by Greg) and I've been to Advanced handgun I at "The Range" Both of them were well worth the $$$. The Adv Handgun class was A flippin blast. It's not often you get to have a SWAT instructor yelling at you MOVE MOVE..COVER, RELOAD, TWO TO THE CHEST, ONE TO THE HEAD now..I've been looking into your defensive handgun classes as well....
  25. What does the light rail do in regards to the classes? The only 5in 1911 I have is a Warrior.
