Logmein uses 256 bit encryption, and a username and password combo to log into your account. You can also set it up to use LONG access codes. You log into your account logme in sends your email account you signed up with an email with the access code to coomplete the connection. if it was a LAN I'd use RDP as well. Having to use the "public" internet I think logmein would be a bit safer. Logmein also has apprivate virtual VPn product that you can use to create private VPN networks accross the internet for fire transfers, etc. I use it to VPN all my PCs together so I can have secure remote file access. I've also used it to create a RDP connection over the internet. It's rather slow, but better than nothing when you need IPSU to configure Cisco crap and you forgot to load it on your new laptop

If it's "urgent" and you can't talk them through loading the software, Logmein has a "logmein rescue" that sends a link to the remote site to be clicked on to start the remote session. You could use it once to install the remote software. Too bad the rescue version is 100.00 a month for acccess after the free trail...I'd use the hell out of it.

for the remote control part, try logmein. (www.logmein.com). Their free account will give you remote control of up to 5 PCs. Log into logmein, and setup your account. call them, and talk them through adding their computer to your account. You'll have remote control of their system. Another free option is VNC, but I like Log me in better.

Call Ben at Guns and Leather for someone close(ish) to you. 643-4865 If you don't mind a road trip, Hero Gear is a member here @ TGO and might have some ideas as well. The Rabbi at East Side gunshop in nashville is a wheelgun man I believe as well. welcome to the party

Red Dawn was the Russians coming over the pole to attack Patrick Swazey...or the US. Red Dawn was a "shelved" war game plan (from what I remember) from the Russians. they figured out that it wouldn't work with all the guns in the states that's the story I remember at least. How prepared can you take it. Power outages, civil unrest, goverment collapse, alien invasion... I can say in the house for around 3 weeks with no outside contact. Other than that..don't know

Ashland City ADA not NFA friendly

Guess the jerk only read the parts of the law he wanted to be true...forgot all about number 7. I was surprised the Serpas(missing an S) signed mine actually. Can your customer appeal the ruling to someone who knows how to actually read...like a 2nd grader? -
I've done 1 IDPA shoot and loved it...put me in for the Middle Tn version.

I believe ASP and The Reloaders Bench are owned by the same people. I picked up a 879 from ASP, and the last time I went to Reloaders bench the I had the same salesman.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit with that picture. He'd be too much tech for the GS. I went by CUSA today to talk to my sales rep. Sad to see him as a red shirt. I didn't see very many "good" deals. They did have a decent open box deal on a new Toshiba laptop. If I didn't have 5 already it would have come home with me.

They're good for the last minute stuff. I have calls to frix one thing, and end up having 1/2 a days work come out of it. I've ended up running out there several times to finish a job in 1 day insted of making a return trip. Not to mention, they have those carts full of laptops and monitors they put on a good clearance every now and then. Like the tablet I'm on now. 1100.00 minus 200.00 worh of rebates, plus my resellers discount, ended up under 900.00

Call the local LEOs and tell them that I'm armed and willing to dispatch the poor critter if they're OK with it. That way I don't get taken down in a felony stop later in the evening for discharging a firearm or the oh so popular man with a gun call out.

I don't intend to bug-out unless I'm already 'out' (even then, it's my intention to get home)... if I'm home, I'm going to stay there. I'm not in an area which would lend itself to a major natural disaster. So, a bug out bag is pretty low on my priority list though I'm sure I'll put one together eventually. My thoughts exactly. I ain't gonna leave, but I'm GOING to get home even if it's on foot. Whatever I happen to have W/ me is there to help in that endeavorw

You don't have to be former military...but it IS preferred. It sounds like a good idea...but if the SHTF I'd want to be guarding the home front a little closer to my actual HOME I think. Now...target days with full auto M4s might change my mind..but I doubt thats part of their program.

After reading Franks post in another thread regarding carrying a loaded shotgun I think one change will be the AOW will be replaced with perhaps the carbon 15 pistol. Then I can be just like Will smith in Bad Boys....j turning my Ferrari into the mob of bad guys....except I don't have a Ferrari...and my carbon isn't full auto...and I don't dress that well....oh yea...AND I'M NOT SUCIADIAL…not to mention I don’t think I’d run INTO a mob of cracked out Rastafarians driving hot rods with anything short of a LAWS or at the very least a RPG7 Not to mention...it's actuall LEGAL where as the AOW..well lets just say I don't want to be the one to be the test case

I'd go at Osama bare handed if I was given the option :-) screw the hardware....too good for him. I'm thinking about the days I drive from Columbia to Clarksville, or Franklin to Lebanon. especially with the time change, it's almost always dark when I'm finally driving home.

I'm on the road pretty much all day every day driving from client to client. I've been thinking about building a small bugout bag to keep in the truck with more spare mags, perhaps some way to hold the unloaded AOW and/or my PS90 with the ammo nearby, perhsps a med kit from calvary arms, etc Does anyone carry a bugout bag with them?...well other than Frank. He doesn't count...he has the "Punisher" model I think:) in his trunk
