If ANYONE laid hands on my wife..no matter what the reason...the dog would be the LEAST of his problems.

I'm trying to figure out where on my belt I would carry a baton...but I'd be in for two spots in the class. My wife might hesitate to shoot, but she's beat the crap out of someone

Got a call from Frank at ETS today. My paperwork cleared and I was able to pickup my AOW today:woohoo: I'll get some pics up this week!! Thanks again Frank...once I'm able to build up the slush fund again I think we're going to to the P90 conversion we talked about

If it's not illegal then I'm carrying. I don't want to give the LEO that catches me a 2K Nighthawk

Frank didn't embellish at all in his description of Buford. Ask Buford..he'll tell you himself. He's a self described a$$hole. People either like Buford...or they don't. I took the class from him, i don't remember the odd shooting stance, but I know he does teach it. It might be something I've forgotten after having different classes. I've been told by people not on this board who had brought him in for private training, and asked him to leave about the time he started in with that stance. And yes...the people in question are Operators if you want to throw that term around. Buford is (in my opinion) one of the "problems" getting TFA rolling in Nashville. I personally don't have a problem with him. However after speaking to several people in and out of the gun training business, when I convince my wife to take the class it won't be one of his. I don't understand why people think just because someone is in the same business that they're automatically bashing their competitors for some type of monetary gain. truth is, I don't think the professional gun trainer community is that big in Middle TN. They're going to know about their peers, people talk. It isn't always gonna be good.

preaching the the converted here. I HATE going anywhere other than Cracker Barrell when we go out to eat thansk to the BS laws that tell me I can't be trusted around booze carrying a gun...even though I don't drink

:D I thought about setting a place setting for 4 people...handing them their plates as they come in the door and telling them to be quick as we have people waiting for their seats...oh and to make sure to wash their dishes when done. I was even going to spring for a Maître d’ for the evening Neither that or the paper plates with sporks idea went over very well. I might have to call Frank and borrow the ETS, Inc. Reduced Noise Feline/ Annoying Relative Annoyance Eradication Device if things get nasty

I just had a visual of a cat trying to get away from himself...looking like the Tasmanian Devil

The wife has stopped me from going...something about having 20+ people showing up here on Thursday expecting dinner or something like that and the house needing picking up (mostly my office) She officially hit PANIC mode sometime this morning (It's her first time hosting Thanksgiving dinner for both our families)

I must have been lucky. I sent my Nighthawk GRP back to Nighthawk for ambis. There was a screwup on the pricing AND the gun got lost for a bit. I made a post once I got it back that I was not happy with the way things turned out. Someone from Nighthawk called Dennis @ Guns and Leather (they're the ones who sent the gun in for me) and told him "We've got a unhappy customer..make it right" The comped the install of the amibis completely no questions asked. I didn't ask for anything from NHC or from Guns and Leather. I understand stuff happens and was chalking it up to a mis understanding on my part. The guy from NHC saw the post, figured out who I was, and went above and beyond to make the situation right.

In the video on their website, why is the shooter holding his gun @ such a sharp angle after drawing from the holster? It's towards the end of the video, after the balloon shots. Is it a speed loading technique?

Nov 20th - Nashville TFA Chapter Meeting
dunndw replied to TGO David's topic in Events and Gatherings
If there's no meeting in Nov/Dec..the chapter will fail...again. I don't understand why they seem so..timid on getting a chapter up and running here in Nashville. If one of the holidays fell on the 20th...then yes...move the meeting. Just canceling the meetings out of hand because there's a holiday in that month is stupid. -
First off I was surprised he even wanted to go. Evidently he and the guy that shot himself were very tight, then there's the whole, standing right next to someone while they accidentally put a bullet into their skull is enough to screw with your head. He used to not even look at my pistol. I was helping him work on his car once, and took my gun off so I could get under it. He never took his eyes off the gun, even though I unloaded it before I put it on the picnic table. I ended up having to put it in the house becaause he couldn't keep from looking at it. To have him WANT to go shoot, then for him to do pretty well (47 out of 50 on in the black with a G19) was just a bonus.
