Rodger, I was involved with both and much rather hit it and quit it than stay around having to watch my back day and night.

Right, but if you perforate the low point it collects rain water while still allowing condensation to drip into the container. -
Nah, been there.

Yes, there is a difference. Tabbed just means you have gone through the course, but scrolled means you have served in the Ranger Regiment. While stationed out in Savannah (Hunter Army Airfield) GA, we supported the 1st Ranger Bn. A tabbed E-4 would run roughshod on non-tabbed ones and tabbed non-scrolled were looked down upon by those in the regiment even if they themselves were not tabbed. Personally, I would take a scrolled squad of rangers vs a squad of tabbed non regiment guys any day.

Ranger tabs are not only for the Ranger Battalions, many people go to ranger school and don't serve in the battalions. I have mostly seen officers, but know a few enlisted as well.

These solar stills work ok here due to the moisture but I've set one of these out before and while it does work, you will not be able to sustain yourself with it unless you make a whole bunch. Humans need roughly 2.5 to just over 3 L on an average day, in emergencies you could survive with less but of course the more stress (sweat) the more water you will need. If you had to stay put, I would set these up before running out to see what kind of volume you would get out of it/them. On the plus side, these catch water rather well so when it rains it does double duty but you have to be ready to swap buckets out to catch as much as possible. -
Anyone know a good place to get some upholstery done? Or complete cushions for an old pull trailer? It one I leave out on my hunting land so don't want to spend a bunch. It may be better to just buy them outright but the ones I have seen are much to expensive for my needs. Maybe someone that does this on the side? I am in Clarksville and don't want to ship but am willing to go to Nashville area if the deal is good.

Ok, just deleted a whole bunch of text that I was writing to just add this link: http://www.chuckhawks.com/adjust_reloading_dies.htm It better explains the die sets and what each die does.

At the house I'm set for a bit, I have 4 water filters to filter water from the usual household water sources even if they were to become contaminated and I have a 55gl collection barrel outside as well. I have medical supplies for most any first responder type situations. Food, well that would depend on the length of said emergency. My generators can run for a bit with available fuel and I have deer to last longer than that. Wildlife is plentiful for now, and silent means to acquire such. I would smoke and dry some of the meat to make it last longer. If the house became undefendable, I have 8 acres to fall back on in a more rural area, its more defendable due to the terrain and surrounded by hundreds of acres full of wildlife and few neighbors who may make for good force multipliers. -
Sounds like a lot of anti-gun social media posts are forthcoming.

The septic tank would not be a good place for water, you would be having to filter and boil the water make any use of it. I would rather dig a hole in the runoff area to collect water than to access a septic tank. -
Did they put that on paper? Sounds like they only have the snitch's side of things since it was a year ago. What company were you working for? Sounds like someone I would not do business with.

Quick, copyright that idea, it will sell.

It would really depend on the event. Right now I am at work, and am on a military base, so am lacking for very little. So again depending on the situation the first thing is to collect my family into a central location; one is in NC while the rest are in Nashville and Murfreesboro so it may be simple or an ordeal. -
I was going to suggest Tapatalk, I get logged out occasionally but more often the Tapatalk screen pops up suggesting I use it to access TGO. I stay logged in during, but it pops up often enough to make it annoying.

No fan of full auto, but of course I don't think they should be outlawed. I do wonder how they dealt with the weapons brought back from the wars? During WWII and Korea I am sure many weapons were brought back by soldiers wanting a souvenir. There are bound to be some squirreled away in some attic that were here before the law went into effect. From the current wars there have been some that were brought back illegally, as some guys were caught, so it stands to reason others were not. There is no doubt about legality with those or the ones brought back by units, I know my unit brought back a few, but they had to become possessions of the museum so legal. So my guess is that some of those will be offered up for sale, as well as those used by the ATF for stings.

If I hadn't just bought two 48 round boxes of Winchester at 54¢ per round before shipping I might of been tempted.
