  1.  I have no hesitation using PayPal but I do have it tied to a separate bank account with just enough to make purchases plus a little extra.
  2. http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/18/politics/supreme-court-ruling-gun-felons/index.html     The Supreme Court ruled in favor of a former U.S. Border patrol agent, Tony Henderson, who was convicted of a felony in 2006 and sought to sell his gun collection that included a personal firearm and some antique weapons.
  3.  There you go, doing it again, Be nice to the new guys.       :slap:
  4. Them's purdy   Bare in mind that the powder coating will increase the overall diameter of the bullet so they might have to be sized, depending on your barrel.
  5.  I'm sure Memphis will gladly jump on the band wagon, they're in debt up to their eyeballs.
  6.  I know you've already completed your lower but for anyone else thinking about a build you can't beat the instructions at this link. I watched all kinds of videos but was able to print this out and have it laying right beside me while I was building mine. I jokingly call it my "Building an ar lower for Dummies".   http://www.ar15.com/content/guides/assembly/lower/
  7.  The three Ss:   shoot, shovel and silence.
  8.  I bought mine at Guns and Ammo and was surprised when the price on the tag was the "out the door" price. (included tax and background check). I don't know if I stumbled onto a special they were having or if that's their normal deal.  It has been 6-8 months so I can't even remember what I paid for it.    Also, right across the street from G&A there is a pawn shop that is really a gun store in disguise and usually has some good prices.
  9.  I'm on the opposite side of the fence on this. I grew up eating wild rabbits and decided to raise some tame ones for the table but they just didn't have the taste I was used to. I will have to say, they were not quite as tough as the wild ones though.   I also found that rabbit cooks a lot faster than chicken and gets really tough if overcooked (at least, if frying).
  10. I really shouldn't have read this, I just placed an order yesterday for an upper.
  11.  Welcome back to Tennessee.   Here's a link to the FFL locator from Buds Gun Shop. Just plug in your zip and area to be checked. I found a couple of small shops around here that I didn't know existed.   http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/ffl.php
  12.  Our last two have been rescues. Each of them was around a year old when we got them. Our last was with us for 16 years and the one now has been with us for 14 years.    The longevity in dogs  that we've been blessed with has made me come to the conclusion that this will be our last. The last thing I want is to have a loving pet outlive me and have to go back to a shelter. If I find an older dog that needs a home, I might change my mind.
  13.   Go on cast boolits and check around many are selling at $1 a lb if you want to buy it.  ______________________________________________________________________________   This is probably the most reliable source you will find. There's usually someone selling WW lead, pure lead, linotype and tin. Lots of good info for casters. You can spend days just reading the stickies.
  14.   Social Security cards printed from January 1946 until January 1972 expressly stated that people should not use the number and card for identification. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a SSN, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message was removed.
  15. How does a 30%- 40% increase in your health care costs sit with you?   http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2015/05/22/obamacare-premium-hikes-n2002338
  16.  McFarlands in Atoka is a class III dealer and I think their transfer fee for class III items is $75.
  17. Northern Tool might have something that would work for you.   https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/category_trailer-axles+axle-kits
  18.    Just before I went into the Navy I worked at a little neighborhood grocery store and we sold .22 ammo. Shorts were $.20 and LR were $.25. That was in 1962.
  19.  I couldn't find you any rat shot up in your area but the Oak Ridge and Lenoir City Walmarts both show Federal AutoMatch (325 rounds) in stock if you need any of those.   If they're like the ones here, with the exception of one store,  they should put them out in the morning.
  20.  The demand around here has slowed down a lot in the last couple of months. Several walmarts around here have had CCI mini-mags (100 rnds) and Federal Automatch (325 rnds) sit on their shelves for 2-3 days.
  21.  I went down there this afternoon and  wasn’t overly impressed. I guess it would be a fun place to take kids to see all the stuffed animals and other things they have scattered around but it didn’t really do anything for me.     I rarely buy things at Basspro anyway but this one is about ½ the distance compared to the one on Sycamore View. The only bad thing is having to drive through Frayser to get there. The best part as far as I’m concerned is that everything I’m interested in, is just inside the north entrance; fishing on the ground floor and the guns just above on the second floor with an elevator right inside the door.     They do have lawsuits waiting to happen though. In some places, the fish pond is right next to the walkway and if you happen to be looking at the scenery, you could very well wind up in the water because there is no barrier or railing to prevent you from falling in.
  22.  I've only had one problem with a S&W and it was taken care of with no hassles.   I bought a Model 63 used and it was a great shooter but after spitting out the bullets it didn't want to let go of the containers they came in  (wouldn't eject the empties). I contacted Smith and they took care of it with no problems even though I had bought it used. I'm not sure what they did, but it still works great.
  23.  A.J's Gun shop in Atoka is owned by a woman.
