  1. Nope. Just went to the garage to see their markings and my polymers are diamondhead. Says they are made with a cheaper alternative to tritium. (One was still in the package awaiting an sbr upper) My troys on my 300 are irons but they dont have tritium in them so I couldn't tell ya how they are. But the diamondhead polys are weak. Nope. Just went to the garage to see their markings and my polymers are diamondhead. Say Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  2. So the package said they were but I swear they have like a paint coating because they dim and brighten as they are in light. Maybe i got bamboozled when I ordered them as well. I figured it was some BS cost cutting thing they did to minimize the amount of tritium they used. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  3. I have 2 sets of the polymer Troys. They are great right off the bat but get dim real quick. Its better than nothing at short distances. (Or if you had a real soft light you could recharge them with minimal spillage) Having said that...night fights are more of a guessing game than an art at any real distance from what I have seen. And the up close stuff is usually shooting near where you saw the last muzzle flash. A mag of tracers and an additional 30 or so guns shooting in the same direction is much more efficient if ya can scrounge it up. ;) Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  4. Have you done a turkey spatchcock style on your egg yet? I do my chickens like that on it but never a turkey. We thought about it last night but just decided to fry it. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  5. The only guy I know that does black powder in Franklin is Lock Stock and Barrel. He is a good gunsmith (but slow) and helped me with a black powder build for a history school project. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  6. My dad had some last weekend. Said it is tasty. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  7. I love me some Pappy, but for the price its Christmas bourbon...some nights you just have to slum it. Chicken is on the big green egg, fire is going, cigar is lit, and music is playing. Unfortunately my kid pooped in the tub so I chose to say I needed to "monitor the grill" and slum it with a garage pour of Wild Turkey and diet coke as opposed to risking going inside for some of the good stuff. 8. Definitely worded it wrong, I was trying to figure out how to word that but that was the best I could do. Thanks for the heads up, I was hoping you would troll along here this evening. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah prag but you have so much knowledge on Hard to Kill that my guess is I will be sleeping in a tent in your back yard in exchange for fresh water and beans if the SHTF. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  10. My dad and I have been dividing ammo off and on for about 3 weeks now since I finally found a house with some storage capabilities. We finally quit squabbling over round count and got the bathroom scale out and started dividing it up by lbs by caliber. Thats when you know you are headed in the right direction. 11. I recently purchased a Class III from an individual who already had a form 4 for a firearm (not from a shop.)  The confusion I am having is on the proper way to transfer this item.   I have called the ATF and am awaiting their official response but I wanted to see if anyone had been down this road.   Since it is across state lines, I assumed the weapon had to be form 3'd from a shop out of state to a shop in state, and then form 4'd to me (just like if you bought it from a shop.) The ATF's website is vague on the matter but it reads like he must form 4 the weapon from him to my shop, and then my shop form 4's it to me.   Anyone done this? Is there a way to speed up the process since one is going to a shop and then the same firearm is being transferred to my trust? (I am assuming no and if this is the case I will see this thing hopefully by 2017.)   Thanks in advance.
  12. This. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  13. Just got home and it was sitting on the counter...it looks great, and unlike my Benchmade, actually fits in my pocket! Thanks. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  14. I did. I love the 20 and the 21....i had to put an RMR on the 21 to change them up a bit. My problem is I have the government spending mentality...why buy 1 when you can get 2 for twice the price? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  15. I have a CMMG MK3 CBR AR10 for sale for $1600 in the classifieds. You would have another $900 for good glass and a bipod. I ran it out to 800 yards (range limit) in Colorado. I have 2 and needed to pay for some new house stuff. I'd be happy to let ya take a look at it on Saturday when y'all get that ammo. Juuuuust sayin! I did the build thing on my 300 blk...it got over budget quick. But then again, my impulse control is novice level. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  16. My brother in law brought me a bottle from NC i think. I was really excited about it. But it's hot garbage imho. Literally. Hot. And rough. Like a long trail ride after a night of heavy drinking and bad mexican food. Imagine the love child of Jameson and JP-8. And this is not coming from a man sitting in a stuffy game room surrounded by high dollar smokes and bottles of top shelf. Just a regular ol bourbon guy who got put in charge of bath time. 45 GAP?...

If you decide to get a 45 GAP let me know. I have 20 rounds of Federal hollow points on top of my gun safe for no reason. A buddy bought the wrong stuff and its just sitting here. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  18. My buddy is a bartender down there and said the same...its fine all day until night. But I'd be impressed if you could get in after 9 on the weekend. Usually has a line around the block. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  19. I saw one scamper across Hillsboro Road next to Grassland Middle a few weeks ago and my buddy who does wildlife mgmt was in the car (and as odd conversations go among rednecks) he was saying that there is a big resurgence of them in middle tn. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  20. Wouldn't it then be considered an SBS? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  21. From what I was told by the ATF you could temporarily change the SBR length as long as it could go back to its original configuration. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  22. No these mostly require other mechanical breaching options. (Sledge and pry bar for one) I have seen videos of teams hitting metal reinforced doors with 00 buck, slugs, and breaching rounds on accident...it didn't end well. You lose the element of surprise with the sledge/wedge option if it takes more than 2 or 3 pops but you don't end up with a team member in the hospital with a Dr. digging shrapnel out of his thigh. There are some other options but it gets very LE/MIL/high end bad guy specific and an avg guy needs not worry. I could vent the barrel, hadn't really thought of that. Its pretty thick because its toward the end but if I found the right gunsmith that may be a solution. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  23. Like Satan's butthole after bad Mexican food. Its unpleasant. Especially with slugs and buckshot. Next time I am near Clarksville I can bring it up and let you try it. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  24. I have it on a single point sling and wrap the tip with a velcro wrap on the side buckles of my plate carrier under my arm so the barrel sits behind my pistol and out of the way until I need it. I need a GoPro. On the list. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  25. Thats pretty much why I bought it. I dont really want an aggressive edge on it...mostly want the vents to keep the pressure off of me and the barrel. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
