  1. I heartily agree with Mike's assessment. I EDC a Glock 33. It is accurate, powerful, and easy to shoot. That being said; try one out if you can before you buy. See if you like it; if you do, round one up. They are a great thing and relatively easy on the pocketbook. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Leroy
  2. I second this opinion. I carry and shoot a Glock 33. It is a very reliable, accurate and powerful handgun in a small package. Kind regards, Leroy
  3. While i agree in principle with what Mr Sowell says; I specifically do not agree with this: I believe that many are watching what is going on, and will make their displeasure known in 2010 and 2012. I will agree that in some places there does not seem to be concern about this thuggery and shake down of BP (...and us, the taxpayers....). The places where this stuff is ok are the usual socialist locations like the northeast, kalefornia, and inside the beltway in washington, dc. I firmly believe that the real folks that make this country work will cast this bunch of pukes out pretty quickly. Food for thought, Kind regards, Leroy
  4. I like em too. Got a pile of them and bunches of Li-Ion batteries laying around; along with the usual pile of ni-cads. I see it as kinda like the gun and reloading thing. Keep up the good work. Kind regards, Leroy
  5. + 1 for me to. Thanks for taking the time to do all this hard work so we can have a better forum. Kind regards and many thanks, Leroy
  6. I watched the video too; but couldn't tell what was going on. If you look at the Second District in AZ; it is firmly Republican (..check here:Arizona's 2nd congressional district - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ...). Dont discount the possibility that this is just a lame attempt by some Demorat leaning bureaucrat somewhere in AZ to try to intimidate a Republican candidate. If i wuz ole Joe, i would spin it that way anyway. That sort of stuff aint new; it has been going on in lots of places (...think northeast big cities...) for a long time. The US Attorney in this territory is, im sure, a rabid Demorat (...read here: District of Arizona . ...). I'm sure we will hear more about this in due time. Food for thought. Leroy
  7. All:________________ I doubt a suit means anything in real terms. My guess is that it is just political pandering to the Demorat base who likes this sort of stuff. I doubt this will affect anything other than to make the Nobama bunch more stupid in the eyes of the states and the electorate. My guess is that a suit (...if they win; which i think is iffy...) cant be enforced. We also need to consider the possibility that this is a strategic leak by the Clintons to finish Barak's chances for re-nomination in 2012 since "Uncle Teddy" is laying in the grave (...thankfully...). He would have to run as the socialist/Marxist candidate (...that's what he really is...) instead of the Demorat candidate. I can just hear the Bill/Hillary speech now: "We can’t afford fo mo years of Barakism, thuggism, and destruction of the Democrat Party. ...." I cant wait for the 2012 campaign season to roll around!!!! Remember, vote early and often!! Kind regards, Leroy
  8. I think there is some possibility of "the full-court press" too; but it will most likely suicidal for most of the participants. If they do, however, the next congress will most likely undo it; or they will be voted out too. Folks are mad about this stuff; and it's high time they got that way. Keep up the good work. Kind regards, Leroy
  9. I like 'em!!! Been thinkin about buying one of the big ones. Kershaw makes good stuff. Kind regards, Leroy
  10. I suspect that what you have opined is exactly what has happened. I wouldn’t beat up the NRA too much on this. The organization is, in fact, called the National Rifle Association; not the National Bill of Rights Organization. I can assure you that fear of the NRA stifles lots of other attacks on the Bill of Rights. We, the people, are responsible to protect all rights when we vote. Check this out: Link here: NRA-ILA :: Setting The Record Straight On The The NRA is probably the best friend we gun owners (...and others who love liberty...) have at this juncture in history. Be careful what you choose to believe. Finally; I would ask that you remember two things: First, both political parties are afraid of the NRA. That is a good thing in today's political climate. Secondly, The Second Amendment secures all the other Amendments; especially the First. If you are not an armed society; the government can and will take any “Freedom†that they choose to take away. Without the ‘right to bear arms†you are a serf; subject to the whim and will of the government. You can rest assured that without arms, the government will not respect you nor listen to your First Amendment speeches. Hope this helps. Leroy
  11. I like it!! Public ridicule goes a long way to clean up buffonish behavior. We salute you Russian infiltrators!!!! Keep up the good work and thanks for posting this neat article! Kind regards, Leroy
  12. Glad to have ya!! Kind regards, Leroy
  13. I second Titan and TNHawk's advice. Start on a single stage, get the idea and some valuable experience. Then get a "production" type press. I have a Dillon 650xl and an old single stage RCBS. I have found that the production presses have lots of potential problems and gizmos that take your attention away from the real, important job of reloading good ammo and keeping yourself safe. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Leroy
  14. I'm happy that Chris Matthews is afraid of the "Right Wing" Libertarians who have guns. That's how the Founding Fathers envisioned our government working. The other solution (...which Matthews and others like him worship...) is a system of serfdom and servitude where government tells everybody what they can and can’t have and what they can and can’t do. With them, of course, at the top; ordained (...by something other than God; they think...) to rule us "less equal animals". Matthews (...and his stinking buddies...) like that idea because as the great George Orwell said in "Animal Farm": "...All animals are equal, except that some animals are more equal than others... . Matthews is a nut that consistently gets things wrong. That's probably because he is a socialist living amongst a group of people who, for the most part, love liberty and freedom. Remember, Matthews worked for those great Americans Jimmy Carter (...the worst president ever, I believe; but Nobama is doing pretty well in this department...) and Tim O'Neil; a real Demorat politician. I say it’s a great day when a son of Satan like Matthews is afraid!! We salute you Libertarian Gun Toters everywhere!! Keep up the good work!! Kind regards (...and soon to be voting for change...!) Leroy PS: SUNTZU, Thanks for posting this great article!!
  15. Jeff:___________ Saw this thread late. I have never seen a "bad" Remington 700. The great Remington 40X target gun is just a "slicked up" model 700. Every one i have had were great shooters. If they dont shoot close enough to suit ya; just glass bed the action and free float the barrel. You will be pleasently surprised by the results. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Leroy
  16. I like this analysis!! Remember what Smedley Butler, an "Old Corps" Marine General and two time Medal of Honor winner said: Link to speech here: Smedley Butler on Interventionism Sadly, Butler was an avowed Socialist; but he may have been right about this one. For what it's worth; I admire Butler for his courage. I do not agree with his socialist-pacifist views. That being said; Smedley Butler was a great man. Read more here: Smedley Butler - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Food for thought. Leroy
  17. I think anyone would be better than Davis. Remember, a vote for a Demorat is a vote for what you have now. He needs to go. Thanks for posting this interesting note. Keep up the good work. Kind regards, Leroy
  18. Dear Anders:_______ Check out this copy of the Citori owners manual from the Browning website: http://media.browning.com/pdf/om/citoriplusmanual.pdf It basically says that Citoris have automatic ejectors that pitch the shells out. He may have a weak (...or broken...) spring somewhere. By the way, i thought they were adjustable -- either lifting the shells like your friends gun; or pitching them out like the manual says. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Leroy
  19. You will be suprised at the number if you take care of the brass. What generally happens is that the case mouths start to crack and split. I have used pistol brass that has been reloaded 7 or 8 times. I always keep them segregated and watch the case mouths for cracks and splits. I toss the batch when 3 or 4 cases show up with splits. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Leroy
  20. Dear fellow TGO'ers:____________ I need to add another cannon to the arsenal. I am thinking about a SIG 239 (...lightly used of course; maybe a SIG refurbish...). I noticed that while the dimensions are good; the weight is a bit high (... about 29 OZ empty....). Please let me know your thoughts on these little jewels; especially with regard to CCW. It looks to me like they would have to be carried in a GOOD belt holster of some kind. Range reports and carry methods would be greatly appreciated. PS: Link to spec here: Products & Services Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Leroy
  21. Interesting read. We will probably get more interested in border security when these things start going off over the country. Food for thought. Leroy
  22. Looks to me like the Iranian Revolutionary Guard volunteers may turn into martyrs. I've yet to understand what has happened to the Turks in regard to this situation. They can obtain nothing but grief with sparring with the Israelis. My guess is that the Israelis will give this whole bunch a spanking. This whole blockade running thing is akin to poking a hornet's nest. Just found this on the Libertarian Republican Blog Site. It is a great analysis and food for thought. Link here: http://www.libertarianrepublican.net/2010/06/first-israel-then-europe-then-we-too.html Leroy PS--TOWERCLIMBER: THANKS FOR POSTING THE ORIGINAL STORY.
  23. Me to!!! Keep up the good work! Vote early and often!! Kind regards, Leroy
  24. Andy!! Glad to have ya. Welcome!! Kind regards, Leroy
  25. Mike and all:________________ A 243 AR10 is a great thing. Less recoil than a 308; and probably better accuracy (...assuming the right barrel...). In the "good ole days" the 243 was considered a very accurate cartridge. Many folks then (...and now...) like the 6mm (... .243 dia bullet...); especially the varmit and benchrest guys. The only downside i can see is the relatively heavy AR10 setup vs the AR15. Its great to see the goodies keep rolling out!Kind regards, Leroy
