  1. True enough. I've a lot of respect for the Shields. But they didn't exist when I purchased "Katie" and the price is/was more affordable.
  2. Northwood trigger makes it into a different gun...you'll be pleasantly surprised. The G43 is a good gun, if a bit wider. But I'd never put a belt-clip on a Glock, like I did with the PF-9...DA vs striker-fired. Just my preference.
  3. We've several Glocks; the wife CC's a 42. It was an early model and had issues, but Glock fixed it. I sometimes CC a Walther CCP. Many have had issues with those, but mine's been great. That said, I'd seriously consider the M2 instead if it was available at the time. I'd like to try one out.
  4. I've owned/CC'd a PF9 for 8+ years. They are cheap enough that I could afford to add a CT guard laser and upgrade the trigger (Northwood). I like to tinker, so doing a "fluff n buff" and adding some grip/tail padding goes a long way on taming the recoil. Still not a range gun, but 'twas never meant to be. I've other 9's that I also CC but none of them are as light and small, or work for pocket-carry. With the KT frame-clip it's the most versatile & comfortable for me to CC.
  5. We own several Glocks, tho' not a 19. Never bothered as I have other choices in that size already. If interested in a CZ, I'd hold off until availability rises and prices drop on their new P10C. Not a "traditional" CZ but I'd like to try one out.
  6. Yup, 'twas the wife's first SA and we both loved it. But she wanted something smaller for CC, so we sold it to a gal friend who continues the love. I often CC a Thunder 9 UC Pro, another rock-solid Bersa offering (just wish it weighed less).
  7. Obviously that's the "other" Portland.
  8. The wife has a shirt from 5.11 but had it custom tailored, so yeah, I get it. Most of my casual wardrobe is 5.11 but I'm okay with the tactical look; her, not so much. As for the NiB-X Glocks, she's more into Duracoat...both her Glocks are purple.
  9. I searched their site but didn't see any gun shows for November...looks like they moved to December. http://www.wilsoncountyexpo.com/calendar/year.listevents/2016/09/09/-
  10. Wish granted. Too bad it costs so much in blood for folk to wake up. http://www.denverpost.com/2016/06/21/concealed-carry-gun-applications-increase-colorado/ http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/may/29/dc-concealed-carry-applications-soar-while-good-re/ http://www.krem.com/news/local/spokane-county/spokane-police-see-spike-in-concealed-weapons-applications_20160106092349555/11539801
  11. The wife and I moved here last month, we formerly lived near Boulder, CO the past 30yrs. I'm originally from southern IN just a bit N of KY, with family in IN, NC, OH, and TN. She's a former "valley girl" from CA. She's worked in marketing as a contractor for a consulting firm in Nashville, and they recently hired me full-time to do IT support...so here we are. Great to be back in 'Murica!
