  1. WOW, I had forgotten Night of the Comet. that was one I really liked, and I thought, very well done. Still remember the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" scene, lmao.

    Snowfall

I just finished talking with my friend in Minneapolis. He said that since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still falling.... His wife has done nothing but look through the kitchen window. He says that if it gets much worse, he may have to let her in...
  3. Only ones I have so far on my brand new Droid X are Hancent for SMS text messaging and vizbattery. Want to get a scanner app too, but havent decided yet which one. There was a thread on here recently on this topic but I couldnt find it.
  4. When I saw this one last week, I watched it several times, and I'm no expert, but it sure looks to me like the round was still intact after shooting...am I right or?

    PMR 30

Thats what i thought. SO if they can fix this, it could open up a whole new concept.

    PMR 30

Is there another .22LR pistol out there that has a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds? I'm talking in the PMR-30 size, not something like the PLR size.

    PMR 30

Online query reveals that the PMR-30 design engineer is working on a .22LR version of the PMR-30. He was quoted saying that the holdup at present is designing a 30 round magazine that will reliably feed .22LR.
  8. I know the link I sent you showed the paddle, but mine has belt slots. I like it alot, but dont use it alot as that gun is for another use usually. Look around for a lefty belt holster that has adjustable cant in BOTH directions and I think yoiu will find one that works...I didnt think I ever would but since stumbling on this one, I now know what I need for that position in other guns. Now I gotta find one to wear in that manner for my PF-9. One thing that will help me is that a salesman at Gun City (where I usually dont like to shop) showed me that some 1911 leather holsters will fit my Keltec PF-9. That considerably broadens my available options as there are far more made for that than the PF-9. Likewise, my FNP-45 will fit in SOME XD leather holsters. So, try some leather ones that may be made for a different gun, but look like they may fit. You might be surprised.
  9. Well its the concept was pitching really, not that manufacturer...f you like the idea, I bet you could find one for your gun by ome other maker...or even get one custom made locally by using that as an example.
  10. I have a similar issue. What I suggest is an adjustable left hand draw holster, that you can adjust to a rearward cant instead of a forward traditional cant. I ordered one for my Bersa Thunder 9 Pro this way. I'm right handed, but I ordered the left hand model and the cant is infinitely adjustable forward and backward. The way i have mine canted is if it is on the left hip, the butt of the gun would be leaning WAY back, but I wear it just to the right of the small of my back...that way the gun is presented in just the manner you describe. I ordered mine on line and it was aroiund 60 bucks I think. If this doesnt make sense I can take some pics tonight and post later. The problem is that not too many holsters are able to be canted enough to the rear...most cant to the front...I only found one that works for me...I sometimes use a nylon belt slide for a lefty, but on my belt to the right side of the SOB with my PF-9 in it...also works for the kind of draw. the traditional SOB draw just is way iuncomfortable for my wrists. Here is an example of what I got, but this pic is the right hand model. I got the lefty. YourGunParts.com / CondorsFlight.com

    PMR 30

Man, I can't wait to get one! Mind saying how much you paid?
  12. What strip is that from?
  13. yeah...used to drink that evil stuff when I was in Europe...EVIL EVIL stuff. lol.
  14. Somewhere I saw a video recently of a guy racking the slide while using only one hand. Can't remember the type of gun or how he did it. Me? I put the mag in, chamber a round, take the mag out and add another round to it then reinsert it in the gun. I usually then carry my FNP-45 decocked and on safe, and fire the first round double action with subsequent ones single action. I can, howevver, also carry it cocked & locked, and on safe. I like handgun safeties. I have read many times where a BG managed to get an officers gun away in a struggle, then tried to shoot the officer with it and when it wouldnt fire, wasted a few precious seconds trying to figure it out which gave the officer time to recover and use a backup or otherwise disarm the perp.
  15. Well, probably not too non-conformist really, but I bet folks were waiting to see who it was before making lewd comments about the model, lol.
  16. No answer here, but I'd also like more knowledge on this. I understand that Nashville, where I'm at, is trunked now and I cant find them on my scanners either. I know they sell trunking scanners but they are high. I also heard there is a rebanding coming up that may make current scanners obsolete.
  17. Safepacker. I saw these online but have not seen one in real life...might work for you: Safepacker Concealed Carry Holster, Concealed Weapon Holster
  18. I heard that one time theyy had both the main floor as well as the are upstairs completely full. Thats a main reason i went. I was VERY disappointed! The vendors in attendance were fine, just not enough of them. Not a whole lotta guns either. The last RK show I went to was in Smyrna and it wasnt too bad. I may not attend any more of theirs.
  19. Not an operator, but have always been interested. Got into shortwave and scanners, and some of my radios oick up the ham bands. I may sign up for that class myself.
  20. You're welcome. Awesome painting.

  22. I have one of these also, and its a fine plinker in my opinion. Mine has been shot a heck of a lot with no problems. I have read about a mod to take off the one safety, but I have not tried it. Here's a you tube link: Vídeo Phoenix Arms HP22A Disasembly and Modification en VIDEOS.es I have NOT done this but I have been thinking about it.
