Congrats! If you like it now, just wait til you shoot it! I've only put around 250 rounds thru mine but I love it. A bit heavy for EDC but I'm getting used to it. I've got the all black USG model...came with one 15 and 2 14 round mags, but I've since added 2 more 15 rounders. Accessories are expensive and not a lot of holsters to fit it yet, but that will improve as it gets more popular I imagine. I'm wanting to put some night sights on it soon.

But that price includes the built in laser, right? If so, thats not all that much higher than other .380s if you add in the cost of a laser.

I'd stay in or near Dickson if I were you. Schools are better, things are cheaper than in Nashville. You could probably find a rental kinda in the country in Dickson, away from all the crime here in Nash. Or in near the westerns edge of Nashville might be ok too.

To "clear" your house, or hunker down.
Defender replied to Will Carry's topic in Training Discussions
They were divided for a time, but now they have ONE career field that does both LE and security functions. I think the driver behind the change to the Security Forces name was that Law Enforcement and Security are both functions of Security of an airbase. Its really semantics. -

Some people don't know what an SP is....so some use the more generic sounding MP as a descriptive term instead of SP or SF. The term Security Forces identifies the ground forces responsible for protecting the vital resources of the U.S. Air Force. Security Force members perform the military police function within the United States Air Force. I'd clear the house, but it's a small house. -
Not the same problem, but similar...I had a Serpa made for a Glock 21 that I carried my Glock 30 in. There was an inch or so of the holster that extended past the end of the gun, and since I was after concealability, I used a handsaw to cut the end of the holster off. It worked fine. I used some real fine sandpaper to smooth it off afterwards and you couldn't even tell it hgad been cut.

Goodlettsville Gun Shop will give you a fair price on .380 ammo when they have it. Phillip and Jason both are very helpful.

Anyone ever use shoulder holsters?
Defender replied to Sandman's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I think thats the rig (Galco Jackass) I have for my PF9. I bought the tie downs for both sides, but the problem I have is that the top of the rig where the straps all come together tends to ride up my back to my neck...I didnt get any instructions 2ith mine, so is it possible I need to adjust it somehow? -
Thats just not true...if your attorney said that he is wrong. the law does NOT say they can only tell dates of employment...however, if they say more then they could be sued...so most companies have a POLICY of only divulging dates of employment, to protect them from lawsuits...if they divulge more, they are not in violation of the law, but could be held financially liable for any ill effects that result of that divulgence, if it cannot be substantiated as fact or whatever. I think we have lawyers here that will confirm that...not wanting to make a mountain out of a molehill but in my work, I talk to many people who are fired for NOT signing a letter. Illegal? not at all. Immoral: I think so. Liable to get sued for it? They can but seldom do as suing usually takes money for attorney fees.
-
Not good. Sign the letter, if it comes to that.. Make written comments if you need to on the letter, but refusal to sign can get you fired. Signing is not saying you agree, it is acknowleging they gave it to you. I see people everyday who refuse to sign such letters who are then fired.

Have you seen the latest issue of American Rifleman from the NRA? They had a good review of several of the little .380s this month. I have a Keltec P3-AT myself and have had no problems with it. But if I were buying today, I'd look real hard at the new Taurus TCP. It looks to me to be very good and coompares favorable with all the rest. A friend of mine has one and loves it. I like it better than mmy Keltec. Lighter trigger puldd and seems better made.

Dang, not sure I can master all that, lol. But let me know how it does at the range and I may have to try it.

IMHO, carrying a small gun is a compromise. You trade off something to get something. Ideally, i would carry my PNP-45 as my primary alwayss, and my Bersa Thunder Pro 9mm as my always backup. Unfortunately, that isn't always possible. Due to dress requirements at times, I must carry a smaller backup, and often a smaller primary. I've found the PF9 to be just barely too large to carry in my dress pants pocket. I want to experiment with one of the inside the waist band holster systems like with those that allow the shirt to be tucked in. I don't like the trigger pull on the PF-9 also, but again, the size is likeable. If I can get the light strike issue resolved then I will probably figure out a way to carry the PF9 more due to the concealability. I had a small Taurus .38 snubby but it was at least as hard to conceal as the PF-9/

I have a Keltec PF-9 that is one of my BUGs. I had put about 75-100 rounds thru it with no problems. Today I fired it again and shot about 50 rounds of Monarch ball. I had 3 or 4 rounds that didnt fire. When I removed them they all had indentations on the primers. I reloaded them and tried again, still wouldn't shoot. Then I put them in my Bersa Thunder mag and fired all of them the first time. Now I'm really concerned about carrying the PF9. Last thing I need is to have to try to use a BUG and have THAT happen. Does anyone have any suggestions? Could it be that its that brand of ammo in that gun perhaps? I plan on putting a lot more rounds thru it before I chance carrying it again, thats for sure, does anyione have any ideas? All input appreciated. Thanks.

When I was in the USAF, we had some of those in 40mm. Talk about a room clearer!
