  1. I went yesterday, and I thought it was better than usual. Seems like a lotta prices are starting to come down. Still some dealers there that are awful proud of their products, judging by some high prices, but overall I enjoyed it. Heck, I like just being around so much gun related stuff! lol.
  2. Hornady Critical Defense.
  3. What exactly do you have to do to do this? I HATE theat safety, lol.
  4. Mine was beat to death almost when I got it for a song. It runs surprisingly well, and although I wouldn't wanna trust my life with it, its a great plinker. I have the one short barrel with mine, wouldnt mind getting an extra longer barrel as well. Everything I have read about it on the net indicates that as far as "Saturday night specials" go, its among the more reliable. I find it odd that many of these "specials" are made in Commiefornia...
  5. I can see you need more practice. I suppose that I could, in the interest of helping out a fellow TGOer, let you make me a holster, just so you can have more practice and learn how to do it right...you know I'm kidding, lol. Great job. I have a FNH-45 ACP for which I am having trouble finding a holster that I like. If you are interested, let me know.
  6. My job is helping military veterans find jobs. One thing I have discovered is that different agencies view veterans status differently. I am at the state level and we have more than one rule, depending on the department providing the service to the veteran. The feds also have more than one rule, depending on who provides the service. I always questioned why this is, and FINALLY I got the answer. Most agencies, especially at the Federal level, but also some state agencies, usually those that are Federally funded, get their funding from laws passed by Congress. Each time Congress passes a law, they specify which veteran is elgible, or what discharge makes that veteran elgible for that particular progam. Thats why we end up with a multitude of different answers to who is and is not a veteran, and who is or is not entitled to this veterans benefit or that one. Makes things very confusing, indeed.
  7. I was wondering about a left hand rearward cant worn at around 5 oclock or 4.
  8. I agree with you. I have wanted to try a left handed holster for that very reason, but don't wanna take a chnace on it not working out and be stuck witht he holster.
  9. Well, it was good enough for James Bond, wasn't it? LOL.
  10. 4. Al Franken. If he isn't at fault, he soon will be.
  11. I don't know who said it first, but I'm reminded of that old adage, the .380 in your pocket is far superior to the .45 you left at home because it's too big, lol.
  12. I also saw it in 3D. I liked it but wish it wasn't so full of hidden messages....why can't they just make a good movie without politics? I'm sick of GREEN and anti war stuff. See: Does 'Avatar' Contain Hidden Messages?
  13. Merry Christmas to all!
  14. The impending breakup of the United States is a scary thing to ponder, but that is exactly what will happen if things continue.
  15. Wow. The ballistics on the smaller stuff I've read is great. Can't wait to see about the .45s.
  16. I carry that in .380, 9mm and .38. Didnt even know they made it for .40 S&W.
  17. I heard that with the ATI stock that the high capacity magazines won't work. Will they work with the new one?
  18. Look around for a horizontal cell phone pouch. You can find one cheap in the right size if you look at some of the discount stores. No one can tell its got ammo in it and it will work good.
  19. A couple of friends of mine and I made the trek from Goodlettsville. As usual, get a couple gun nuts together in a car for a couple hours and how can you not enjoy it. The show was great for a first effort. I didnt have lots of money to spend this close to Christmas, but I did buy a few odds and ends. Loved the endors that were there and plan to come again to the next one. Hopefully, by then I'll be in a better position to buy. Still think the llocation was too far away. Nearer Nashville seems like it would be better for vendors and patrons alike. This was my first chance to see Hero Gear's offerings and it made me decide that I would visit their store sometime for sure. Suggestions: Have it near Nashville. Have a room/area for used guns and stuff. Continue to work on more vendors. Questions: While I realize that the vendors are there to make money, what is the goal of the organizers? Is it a money making event for them? Or was the admission fee just to cover expenses? This is not a criticism at all of their motives, as either way is ok, I am just curious. Hope you can continue it, and I will go again. Thanks to Joe and David and the others who organized it.
  20. I just can't understand what is wrong with a country trying to maintain its ethnic makeup.
  21. Just saw an episode of Mythbusters recently where they took on whether it was hard to break auto glass underwater. they used an actual side window and tested everything from kicking out the window tousing a special tool like you mentioned. The tool won, it was very hard to break it under water, but the tool did just fine.
  22. You clearly understand.
  23. I like mine.
  24. It seems as if the Communist party was heavily involved with the ACLU. Do some research, its not hard to find.
  25. Hmmm...ever read much about the founding of the ACLU? There may have been occasions when it has stood up for something one or naother of us believes in, but there is no doubt in my mind why and by who it was founded, nor its goals today. read up on it some. But when you do, don't be too narrow in your selection of reading material. On a separate note, I encourage any patriot to read The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History, by Thomas E. Woods, Jr. PhD. Then, as you read it, check his sources - they are rock solid. The federal government has usurped powers that are reserved to the States, and to the People.
