Ain't that the way it always works, though? One way of looking at this positively is that you have a Glock 19 now and everyone ought to have one of them. Now it's just a matter of saving up your pennies for that M&P M2.0 Compact to add to the collection.

Nice build! While there are undoubtedly cases where you get what you pay for, I think this will prove to you that there are also cases where a little money goes a long way. Somewhere between 800 and 1000 meters, to be exact. I look forward to hearing how it does!

Yeah, there's no doubt at all of the Glock's simplicity when you want to take it apart to the individual pieces. The M&P fails that on the extractor roll-pin alone.

Huh? I mean, yeah, if you absolutely want to remove the firing pin safety for some reason? Otherwise, it's very easy to remove the striker assembly by just turning the slide over and depressing the FPS.

They've knocked about 0.25" off of the overall length and height of this one. I don't find the full size M&P to be that much bigger or harder to conceal than my Glock 19, so... I'm kind of with you on this.

You guys would be surprised at how often I am carrying the CZ P-07 these days. Coming from someone who really prefers the striker-fired designs, something about this little heater really appeals to me and I honestly can't quite put my finger on exactly what it is. I think it's probably because it is more than one single thing and, rather, a combination of smaller things.

I love my M2.0 and prefer the 17rd capacity of the full-size but this really makes the "Compact" make sense. The previous 9C and 40C were just too damned small for my hands and the advent of the truly compact Shield left them in a weird spot in the S&W lineup. They did the right thing here. And as for the "fish gill" serrations, those are super effective and grippy. I've always preferred them to the serrations on the Glock. All of that being said, I don't see myself rushing to buy one of these. I have several things in this size-range already and don't need another.

That is possibly the worst Photoshop job I have ever seen. Not taking up for the Oathkeepers, here, but come on... have you ever seen a spray can that patterns like that?!

I received and installed new sights on the P-07 today. I ordered the 6.5mm tall fiber optic front sight and the plain HTAC rear sight from CZ Custom and they arrived in two short days. Removing the front sight was a bear. Far more difficult than it was on my P10C. I had to break out the "blue wrench" (propane torch) and burn the thread locker out of the sight dovetail and then use a liberal amount of force, very carefully, with a steel punch and tack hammer. My brass punch and hammer wouldn't budge it. Driving the front sight in was fairly simple, albeit it did require some force with the brass-faced mallet, and I put a bit of blue Loctite in there for good measure as did CZ. Using my MGW Sight Pro, the rear sight pushed out with ease after the set-screw was loosened. I oiled down the dovetail channel and the top of the slide behind it, and then pressed the HTAC rear sight into place. It required a good amount of attention with a brass punch and my hammer to get it started properly before I could use the MGW tool to press it in the rest of the way. It turned out fine, though. So, would I do this for anyone else? Not a chance in hell. There is just too much risk of damaging the slide's finish or a sight dovetail for me to even consider it. I hear that CZ Custom has a tool that perhaps works better for this than the MGW tool does, but the MGW is what I have. I still need to take some copper solvent to the slide and rear sight in a few places and remove the brass tracks from the punch. Thankfully I was able to do this without ANY damage to the finish anywhere.

That semi-circle cut out for ripping the mag free was the dumbest way that Glock could have addressed that "problem". A slightly enlarged magazine base plate and providing an indented relief on the front of the grip or on both sides of the grip would have been a better idea.

Dimensions provided will always be taken at the largest part. For the Gen 5 that means the magwell. The grip itself is the same width as the Gen 4 as far as I can tell.

That is proof that some people need little to no provocation to assail other people. Stickers on your boat, slogans on clothing, a license plate on your car, or just the way you comb your hair: Any of those could be reasons you'd read in the newspaper offered as the motive for why one person attacked another person or their property. As a society, we've been circling the drain for quite a long while now. This isn't anything new. But the circumference we're making around the drain pipe keeps getting smaller and smaller.
