  1. ...and raise the age to be tried as an adult to 25. Yeah, that's a great idea. Let's let 23 year old murderers off with a slap on the wrist and a basically clean record in two years. The bad part is this guy may win. Weirich had some BS racial disparity claims made against her and that's all that matters to some around here.
  2. If you live in Shelby County and don't do anything else, go vote for Amy Weirich for DA. Her opponent is a full-retard wokist and wants Memphis to be the next San Fransisco.
  3. I used to know a competitive shooter who would loan a new gun to the indoor range that sponsored him as a rental gun for a few months. He wanted it all nice and broken in and he was fine with someone else doing it for him.
  4. Thanks, I figured engine braking had something to do with it.

    Canik

I shoot competitively and I am seeing more and more Caniks. They are excellent guns for the money. I believe they are loosely based on the Walther PPQ line.
  6. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of his rallies, or anybody else’s. But hating ex-presidents and dreaming of their demise is not my hobby.
  7. My knowledge of social media terminology in general and my urban slang vocabulary in particular are both a bit lacking. However, I am familiar with “TDS.”
  8. Well, he's probably not likely to catch monkeypox.
  9. Comp-Tac CTAC IWB holster at 8-9 o'clock (I'm a lefty). I've never found anything better.
  10. So my all-time favorite Arnold movie may not be too far-fetched?
  11. Ho-hum. I had it for the second time a month or two ago. A headache and a scratchy throat, then I was cutting grass a couple days later. Covid ain't what it used to be, although some sure wish it would come back.
  12. How do brakes last longer on an EV? Electric engine braking? And how much does the average car owner spend on coolant? Also, EVs are supposedly harder on tires.
  13. Ok five weeks lol. I deleted that part before you replied because someone may have felt that I crossed the political line and I didn’t want to get the thread closed. You may want to do the same.
  14. I haven’t researched it and don’t really feel like it, but what are the current rules/laws for abortion in TN? I’ve always been surprised either side blows so much political capital on the issue. To me, why someone gets an abortion is not nearly as important as when they do. Does TN have a time limit?
  15. Disagreeing is one thing. Going to a red state gun forum and advocating for politicians and laws that would classify the majority of that forum's members as terrorists and have them thrown in prison for legally purchased items is another matter. It shouldn't be that hard to figure out.
  16. I've done this several times and it's no big deal. It's nice to have a tool-less takedown 1911. Some claim that FL guide rods increase accuracy, but this is baloney. Recoils springs may last longer with FL guide rods, however.
  17. Yep I read that when he said it soon after Uvalde. It’s interesting that a guy convicted of murder wants to dictate who can and can’t own a gun. On the other hand, he is a celebrity and his opinion is gospel to some.
  18. I don't think anybody else scrolls down the TGO website far enough to even see the club forums.
  19. That’s excellent news and thank goodness the “that can”t happen here” types aren’t running the show. There is clearly still work to be done.
  20. I've had good luck with Smith Plumbing and Hugo Plumbing, although neither one was cheap. From my experience with plumbers (and lots of other things), between good/fast/cheap, you usually get to pick two.
  21. All that is true when talking about right to carry laws. However, there are other areas of gun control - "assault weapons", magazine restrictions, suppressor ownership, semi-auto bans, punitive taxes on ammunition, etc, that this decision doesn't address.
  22. Well I’m glad the SC ruled the way it did and they have proven yet again that elections do, in fact, have consequences, but I don’t see how this decision eliminates many of the restrictions we already have in some places or prevents certain new ones. Also, incentivizing red flag laws is a step in the wrong direction. Call me silly, but I’m not ready to become complacent and declare that the fight is over.
  23. Sounds interesting - would be neat to put a (user) name with a face for those we haven't met.
