The included MOS plates are junk, but C&H Precision made MOS a good system. But yeah, I would prefer direct mount.
-
This is kinda neat, although I scratch my head at doing something with Aimpoint instead of making a dedicated RMR-ready slide. I imagine there are a lot more people interested in direct mounting RMRs, SROs, and various Holosuns.

4 or 5" here. Was barely doing anything a couple hours ago but is coming down harder now. This crap needs to hurry up and melt - I need to go to the range Sunday.

I must be an oddball, I’ve bought several guns at Bass Pro and all been smooth and quick.
-
Makes sense if you are trying to get the gun as low as possible. I like them kinda low but still high enough to easily draw.

How does a red dot print more? I’ve never noticed them being harder to conceal. Typically, the butt of the grip is what prints.

What range bag are you guys using?

These https://www.goutdoorsproducts.com/product/pistol-sleeve-large-with-locking-zipper/ I can stack maybe three max in the bottom compartment of the range bag. They are handy at a match when getting the gun out must be done at a safe area. Instead of lugging around the range bag, just pull this out of the range bag and walk to the safe area. -

This is my favorite range bag. I don’t use the foam gun holder, though. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1085600274818?pid=274818 -
What Ammo do you have in your HD AR mags?

Winchester 64 grain Power Point for deer. I figure if it's made for deer, it should work for 2 legged critters and they shoot really well in my gun. I think Winchester has discontinued it and replaced it with 64 grain Deer Season. -
They would be the first truck I would look at if I were in the market for a new mid-size truck. A gimmick-free V6 engine with a geared transmission is not much to ask, but is rare nowadays.

I've never noticed a meaningful change in velocity when changing seating depth .010-.040. I think it's a lot of hype. Obviously, if you sink a bullet .25 deeper than normal, you may have created a grenade.

A guy at work recently learned the hard way that nobody works on Nissan CVT transmissions; they just replace them. His economical 2015 Altima work beater suddenly made a lot less sense.

I've always liked the Ridgeline and would drive the crap out of one. I hate that they added VCM that can't be deactivated. My 4Runner does well hauling two kids to a soccer tournament.

Nescafe instant decaf with a Swiss Miss hot chocolate pack. I would occasionally drink Stok cold brew before inflation. Everything else blows up my stomach.

I don’t get the point of the removable trigger module. Everybody thought they were the future when Sig put it in the 320, but they seem kinda gimmicky to me.

I think I just heard Bill Ruger turn over in his grave.

It would have terrible if one of those shots had missed the evil CEO and accidently hit Alvin Bragg.

The suspected hitman’s name is Luigi. Oh boy

Words or marks written with a Sharpie, if allowed to dry, will absolutely stay intact during firing. A lot of .38 Super shooters mark their brass with a Sharpie to know whose brass is whose.

I was talking about the actual shooting part and I think he was somewhat lucky, but if his plan included not getting caught, I would argue that the jury is still out. On the other hand, maybe this was a professional hit. The goofy gun, the words written on the ammo, and the shooter showing his face everywhere beforehand could be an attempt to make it look like a rookie vigilante with an axe to grind instead of something else (cue the Mission Impossible theme with Tom Cruise ripping off a mask…)

Was the live ammo marked or the empty cases?
-
He seemed to struggle with the gun after maybe the third shot. The fact that he left live ammo makes me suspect he had an unplanned malfunction. Planned malfunctions or unplanned, it seems like a lousy plan either way.

We obviously need common sense vet control laws.
