Community policing: arrest criminals and investigate crimes. It is this that most people do not get and likely why the Broward County sheriff department suits against them may fail. If people knew this about the law, they might take a different view on firearms. The leftists won’t mention this, because it would likely destroy their anti-gun narrative. Do police officers and deputies have automatic weapons and tactic shotguns, tactical vests, body armor and other tactical gear in their vehicles? I recall reading many years ago when police were out-gunned, I believe in LA and after that automatic weapons were added to have equivalent force. I don’t think picking someone who is at retirement age every expected to have to engage an aggressor. This was likely easy duty in his mind. Sad. He failed. The story could go deeper and drill down on the “why” and that will explain the root causes and provide insight to the appropriate public policies to address underlying reasons for what is happening in these neighborhoods. Chances are you’ll find crap public policies likely promoted by left of center politicians. Ironic, don’t hear a word from politicians like Rahaman Emanuel on what policy initiatives the city is launching to address the problems in Chicago. What you do read is policies to encourage illegal immigration through these ID cards he and the city council are instituting. I have never sold or bought a pistol or rifle through a private sale. Is this what they call the gun show loop hole? It's always been about the men and women who have served, bleed and died for us ALL. Standing and placing your right hand over your heart is the least you can do! Agreed. Frankly, I think these juvenile protests do little to serve their cause for the simple reason most rationale people see through this. Why? Because if Colin Kaepwrnick was really concerned with the plight of black men, the black community and police brutality against black men, then he, other players, owners and the league would have produced a PSA announcing concrete steps they are going to take to address these grievances. Done with NFL. Standing for flag was always about the men and women in uniform. That was what my dad said years ago when I was a kid. These guys have no idea what sacrifice is all about. There are plenty of "useful idiots" out there. The NOKO situation is not good. I am not bothered by Trumps talk. Better to talk strong then to be President Obama apologist. Weakness invites aggression. Sooner or later, the situation in NOKO may come down to military intervention. I hope not, but nuclear weapons in the hands of someone like Kim Jong Un or technology sold to a high bidder would be equally bad like some terrorist group and used against us or an U.S. allied.
