That be my forty. OK, I didnt have a beer bottle or can or anything and that was the first thing I could grab. Just pretend it says Olde English on the side.

New addition to my stock of guns for sale. On consignment from a member here who probably wants to be anonymous. Here I am demonstrating proper grip, stance, and sight picture.

Horrifying video. But I am sure that all that was Pres Bush's fault and that with change we can believe in none of that will happen ever again. Right? As for said change, yes there will be change. A muscular foreign policy that has kept the country safe for 8 years will become a bootlicking policy designed to make us lap dogs of the French and Germans, and open us up to regulation by the U.N. Some change.

It's funny. I think recoil is like heroin, you need more and more to get the same effect. Last time I shot .22 I found myself thinking, this thing just doesnt have enough kick to it.
-
Haemmerli. Of course. Not that I've ever owned one or even held one but they win all the Olympic matches. An option for people with Glocks and 1911s is a .22 conversion. SOme of these work well and you get the same feel (OK similar) as your carry weapon.

I dont know anyone claimed a freedom of speech issue. I think we all understand that Tungsten as forum owner can do pretty much what he wants. But he also ought to be responsive to members. Obviously I'm not privy to whatever he got via PM from members and mods and there might be a lot more than I am aware of. But the discussions seemed to be going fine. It wasn't broke, no need to fix it. As for OEFVET, I'd like to know more mainly because I have been sending people over there and I'm not going to recommend someone with serious ethical/legal issues.

Has your attitude towards guns changed?
The Rabbi replied to The Rabbi's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
It's an event marked by guys jumping around with their erections in their hands, like kangaroos. Thus the name. -
That's why there's an "off topic" forum here. Or so I thought.
-
I don't know what the problem was. Everyone seemed to be getting along fine. I don't think covering up differences is helpful.

Maybe the dealer is losing money on every sale but plans to make it up on volume....

OK, here's the final word. I think these guys come in my shop once in a while. I am sure they're regulars on TGO. [ame] [/ame]

But those people are not on the team of someone who wants to be president. And she did not say she was not proud of the actions of this gov't. That is a distortion. As for the speech, apparently the Obama campaign has put the kybosh on it because I cant find either a video or a transcript anywhere. The administration is corrupt? Are you saying that because Pres. Bush accepted campaign money from shady Chinese sources, because VP Cheney went to raise money from a group of Buddhist nuns, because when Congress went to subpoena witnesses most of them fled oversees or suddenly had memory losses? Oh no, that happened under Clinton..... No one has shown the administration is corrupt. This is typical Democratic politics: you don't like their policies so ergo they must be corrupt. Sheesh.

Then how do you know those things are sins? Or anything is a sin,for that matter? (hint: look at NSNate's post above).

Disarmed when stopped by the police?
The Rabbi replied to Fallguy's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I think it's perfectly legitimate for an LE to disarm someone if he perceives that person is a threat to himself or others. But if he does so indiscriminately that means he can't tell the difference between a threat and a non-threat. And that person has no business being an LE. -
How do you know they're not? Mike357, don't look at me when you say that.... As for your aunt's response, the guys who blew up the towers in 9/11 certainly were holding true to their beliefs. But I really doubt they're going to heaven, of any description.

So is bribing voters. So is perjury. So is running a male prostitution ring. So is transporting women across state lines for immoral purposes. And no Democrat has served a day in jail for any of these things, despite well documented cases of each. Your point?

<!-- / message --><!-- sig --> Of course the guy is not a "strip club owner". That's false. It's a lie. Just like saying he's a pornographer. It is false. It is a smear. But Michelle Obama really did say that only now was she proud of her country. Her husband really does see America as the problem, not the solution. Democrats really are prepared to do whatever it takes to take and retain power. These things aren't lies.

It isnt the point of threads necessarily to settle questions. The point is to air opinions. And that's been done, and done pretty well. Pagan.

If he comes back, we'll do it again.....

About freeakin time. I have been looking for these for months. The Px4 is probably the most underrated polymer gun on the market.

I find myself agreeing with NSNate on this. Since a lot of people bring up the Bible I want to clarify a Biblical view. There is no word for "homosexual" in Hebrew (modern Hebrew uses the word "homoseksual" btw). There is a word for homosexual acts. And that is what Leviticus condemns, specifically sodomy. So whatever a person's orientation, if he chooses to commit sodomy he is doing something clearly opposed to what the Bible teaches. But the point is that it is a choice. I might find myself attracted to XDShooter's wife. It is natural that I should. But if I go ahead and sleep with her I will be committing a sin (not to mention putting my life on the line). (nb: I have never met the woman). But there is a "homosexual lifestyle" that many homosexuals choose to engage in. It is corrosive to society in its glorification of hedonism and the way it sees others as simply tools for one's own gratification. The fact that many heterosexuals act like that too is irrelevant. The basic seeds of these ideals sprout into an evil weed that poisons society and makes us weaker. I know that sounds dramatic, but that is what is happening. No society ever became great by adopting those mores, and the great cultures that have fallen did so when hedonism became rampant. And btw, I am not gay or anything like that. But if I were going to step across the plate I might do it with Mike357....

Because when Dems do it, it's just sex and everyone does it. When Republicans do it. they are hypocrites. And there is no greater sin (no sin actually) in American public life than being a hypocrite.
