Glock 19 Mossberg 590A1 CZ 2075-RAMI A Sig Sauer in 9mm (don't know which model) A .45 with a 3.5" barrel (maybe a Citadel Concealed Carry model---looks nice, isn't too expensive)

Both good suggestions. Also, I'd add a Suzuki Bandit 600 (or, in the last couple years a Bandit 650). Another bike which is often overlooked, but can be found with a little looking would be a mid 90's or later Honda Nighthawk 750. They never sold too well for Honda, yet are very dependable, and are solid as a rock. The engine is truly bulletproof.

Did you hear the tragic news from Tuscaloosa?? The University of Alabama library burned to the ground!! Both books were destroyed. The coloring book, and the one with words in it!! War Eagle!! And unlike some of you posers, I actually attended and graduated from my school!! (Auburn University, class of 1985). Auburn is 7-2 vs. Alabama since the year 2000.

If it were me, I'd start at Ruger MKIII or Browning Buckmark, and work down from there. Both are excellent pistols, and have been around for awhile.

+1 with enfield!! I just purchased a nice 66 yesterday. I decided to put a purchase of a 1911 on the back burner. Too many choices, everyone seems to have one--I don't really want to be like everyone else!

Good job, Rick. And "War Eagle"!!!! (I graduated in '85).

6 out of 10. Apparently, I guessed well (only knew 2 for certain).

Damn, that picture alone would almost make me stop drinking......I said almost!!

End of August will be 24 years for me. Crap, I've been married for half my life!

That's nice! I like the GP100 (OK, I like Rugers). If it only had a 1 inch shorter barrel.......Oh, thats right, then it would be an SP101! Good job trading!!

In the really, really, old days, they had a store on Nolensville Rd.. and I believe on Gallatin Rd. also.

Nice!! I've got a KP94 w/safety that I purchased new about 15 yrs. ago (it was my first 9mm). It's heavy, but weight can have some advantages!!

Ammo containers / Storage
craglawnmanor replied to Dropkick Murphy's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
25mm plastic military ammo cans. Best dang ammo cans I've ever come across. I bought one at a Military Surplus place in FL about 15 years ago. Found out how much I liked it, then could never find them again. Open at either end, all "plastic" (seemed to be somewhat like phenolic material), good rubber seals. Well, I happened by the Gun Show at the Fairgrounds in Nashville on Saturday, and lo and behold, one of the vendors had about 20 of these. I purchased 2, and these are even nicer than the one I found 15 years ago ($12 each). The vendor said they hadn't seen these in quite some time, yet received a few, and were interested in what I used them for (well, ammo, of course). But I've also used the one I had for 15 yrs. for tool storage, etc. I actually saw a posting on the internet about how someone used this exact ammo can to make an "indestructible" X-Box apparatus for their X-Box machine. My 2 cents....... -
2001 naked Suzuki Bandit 1200 2006 Suzuki V-Strom 650 During the week I drive a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab 4X4 (yeah, it's got the Hemi) 1994 Volvo 960 SW 1997 Ford Expedition 4X4 my wife has some Nissan Quest van (2004????) that she hates 2006 Honda Pilot (oldest daughter's --Father-in-law gave her) 2007 Honda CRV (2nd daughter's ----Mother-in-law gave her) 1963 Ford Falcon convertible with VIN that makes it an original 260 V-8 Sprint (OK, this car is still not finished, but JUST a little more). They are all paid for, and yes, I work my *** off.

Good gosh, I thought I was the only one that didn't watch Nascar anymore!!! Glad to know that many people have the same opinion. It's become corporate racing, with only "big money" having a chance to win... Nascar has issues ( Kyle Busch being one of them) that can't be fixed overnight, now.

I've got 2 Suzukis....(Bandit 1200 & V-Strom 650). That said, I'd opt for a VTX 1300 if I were looking for a cruiser. I've read nothing but good about the VTX 1300...., plus, the people I've talked to that have them love them. Honda makes an excellent product. I'd have 2 Hondas if Honda made a bike similar to the 2 I currently have. I've had 3 Hondas through the years (been riding for 28 or 29 years). Every Honda I have had has been excellent concerning design, maintenance, etc.

We've got six (4 girls & 2 boys). That's what I get for marrying into a big Catholic family (my wife is one of 8). 13 years difference from youngest to oldest. But, It's finally starting to get a bit easier (or, maybe I'm just too beat down to care anymore). The oldest two are in college, youngest will be in 2nd grade next year.

56FordGuy makes a good point. That piece appears to have a lot of character. Just make sure it's clean and oiled.

I'm looking forward to seeing//reading about your find. I believe Ruger discontinued these a while back, but I've sort of been on the look-out for one ever since I read about them last year.

Hello Flynt! One of my best friends runs a small heating/AC business out of Williamson County.

Well, we can only hope!! A buddy of mine spends half his time in AL (he was an only child, and now has 3 houses in AL.....his parents', his great aunt's, and his grandmother's).....He just laughs when I tell him to look for 9mm when he's in AL (he can't believe that we've got ammo issues....that's what an MBA from Vanderbilt gets from this....that we have real world issues, and that we've got to be prepared for Armageddon....).

Yeah, I looked at 4:30, and everything appeared to be sold out by then......

THAT'S one of the things that make it fun!!!!

That's both sad and funny!!
