  1. Rock Island Armory 10mm 1911. My friend has exactly the same RIA 1911 as I do Have seen him shoot a couple hundred rounds of PMC and Magtech 180gr ammo with no problems On my advice, due to 19.95 per 50 round box price he purchased Blazer 180 gr as shown. In a single ¾ box he had four primer blowouts This is his pic so don’t have more to show I checked his 1911 and it does not seem to allow firing out of battery There are no signs of hard primer strikes or case bulging The weapon cycles great with other ammo So this is mostly a heads up for 10mm shooters looking for a bargain Sometimes you get what you pay for Also, I tried 8 rounds of that Blazer box out of my RIA 1911 but had no problems Spent cases on either weapon look normal, except for obvious primer blowouts outs Most had normal primer strikes Again, no case bulging. Also cycled live ammo through chambering and extraction cycle without firing and cases looked normal. I told him to contact cci/blazer before sending his 1911 in to RIA This only shows 3 rounds Fourth had identical blow out to top center case Again, just a buyer beware heads up

    5.7 Pistol

    Good evaluation, Erich
  4. So much “click bait”. So little time training.
  5. Many of the buying public are uninformed and inexperienced with weapon handling. Possibly they think a “new feature or gadget” will automatically make them shoot well. Often that is not the case. It takes training and practice Glitz sells
  6. Like so many wild claims; the truth comes down to Operator Error
  7. 1- Yea people do lie to cover their arse, or hole n the leg 2- SIG is a big corporation which some see as a cash cow 3- Have shot P320/365 in IDPA. Only AD’s I ever saw on any gun were from people who had finger on the trigger when they shouldn’t have. That meant a DQ from the match and possibly future matches as well 4- If my career were on the line as a Leo , might cook up an excuse to stay employed. That is just being human.
  8. Never liked how a scope changed the balance on a lever gun. That said, quality peep sights are sometimes hard to find.
  9. If you want pan and tilt, that feature is not as popular as a ball head. They work quite differently. Would not want a ball head for a twenty pound load
  10. Wadcutter heaven
  11. The Dan Wesson models were very popular back in the 80’s That is when I did a bit of practical pistol competition shooting Think it was it was the model 15 people had. One version came with a 2/4/6 in interchangeable barrel set Was too expensive for me. But people who shot with them seemed to do well

    Canik Rival

Good reason to choose it over the Canik.
  13. ^What he said
  14. Great find. Didn’t know they were available

    Canik Rival

Am surprised it fits in the box for size. Then again, haven’t shot IDPA for a few years. Hope you are having fun

With no intention of stepping on the OP's parade: Eerytime I see that gun it makes me slap put my palm to forehead. Then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
  17. Consider moving this to the "Firearms Classified". To my understanding that is where guns for sale go.
  18. Make a claim with your credit card company.

    Revolvers

Love the red ramp front sight. Still the best imo.
  20. Not to be a wise ass, but due to current events....."Does that include the 51st State of Canada" Wish you friend well.

    Revolvers

Would like to add that a snubbed is the easiest to conceal for me Having a classic hourglass figure a short barrel revolver fits on my belt and hides quite nicely. Yet is easy to draw and present quickly Had one brother in law who carried a 1911 commander in a shoulder holster. He was thin and athletic. Guess what he went to when he retired. A 6” Python 357 He was happy to trade a round for the 357 power and velocity

    Revolvers

The utility and reliability of revolvers will continue. Iis too bad a shorter length case never caught on for 38 spl it only needed that case capacity in black powder days. Shorter brass means a bit less cost. And a shorter cylinder. Oh well.
  23. Don’t think anyone can tell you what ccw arms is right for you. 43x is a well regarded model on a legendary platform Personally, I lean towards the Sig p365.
  24. It just amazes me the level of dumb in that modification Owner probably won’t ever have to seek medical care for appendicitis. Shortly he will have removed it all by himself Jeeeezzzzz
  25. Bud's has the actual Gen 3 G19 for 115 bucks more. Like all Gen3's it does not have an optic cut. The three advantage I see the Ruger might have are: Optics mount No finger groves....thank you Ruger *Cheap enough price that it might entice a newbie into a bedside firearm which is based on a proven platform* Am curious how their magazines compare in reliability.
