I want to see one next to a P365XL
-
I think I want one. I do like my S&W pistols. Maybe this will replace my want for a Shield Plus.
-
Yep. Stay strong Shawn. It’s a new year.

Man, Illinoisans bought almost 8.5million new guns? That is about 2 out of every 3 citizens of the State of Illinois. (Population of approximately 12.7million) If you take out the under 18 population that leave about 10million legally able to own a gun.

Is my wife the only one that says “did you buy another gun” every time there is a charge that is remotely gun related? Love that woman.

I was just about to mention topic creep, but…..

I remember the big snow storm I think in 2000 when it snowed so hard and fast that it completely shut down Nashville. It was taking hours for folks to get home I -town. I flew in from Jersey that might and recall I-24 was a parking lot. I also seem to remember the National Guard was sent up I-40 to the Plateau to rescue stranded motorists. Maybe up Monteagle Mt. as well.

Welcome to the TGO. A bit further north in Nashvegas. -
That’s why mine doesn’t know the code to get in.

I thought you said I needed P38?
-
That would make too much sense.

Well, I got derailed by 6.5 Grendel. Some parts came available I couldn’t pass up. Now my A4 Stocked lower that had a 223 Wylde upper built with a match handguard and nicely cerekoted a version of Disruptive Grey now has a 6.5grendel barrel and a scope. the 223 Wylde barrel will now temporarily be on the new build with a classic M16A2 configuration (but with a collapsible stock) I got to keep it built as it is also used as a 22LR plinker. Not saying I won’t build a 450 Bushmaster. I just need to find the best deal on a barrel and bolt. Then the PSA lower and AeroPercision XL upper will have a true purpose. i will get photos up on Show&Tell soon.

I have the Shield. And then got the P365XL for its capacity (and it just feels great in my hand). However if the Plus had come out earlier, I might be rocking that instead. I might still get one at some point. I do like S&W pistolas

From Wikipedia Plot By the year 2022, the cumulative effects of overpopulation, pollution and an apparent climate catastrophe have caused severe worldwide shortages of food, water and housing. There are 40 million people in New York City alone, where only the city's elite can afford spacious apartments, clean water and natural food (at horrendously high prices, with a jar of strawberry jam fetching $150). The homes of the elite are fortressed, with private security, bodyguards for their tenants, and usually include concubines (who are referred to as "furniture" and serve the tenants as slaves). America has also adopted the metric system. It was all the Metric System’s fault.

That is the same price as the ShieldPlus. I will be curious how the two compare at the range. Roughly the same dimensions. Striker fired polymer frame or hammer fired alloy frame.
-
Says it is an aluminum alloy frame. $599 pre-order price https://www.rangeusa.com/product-details?id=158967

I think Billy the Kid was a bit uglier.

I have a memory of a story my dad told me from when he was stationed on the DMZ after the Korean conflict. I can’t say it is 100% true. The Korean barracks (maybe on the north) had a problem with thieves. They caught one of the thieves, and put his head on a spike. They did not have a problem again.

I suppose those are the two sides of the coin. On one side it is control of crime (or what ever societal moray is being broken) through fear of physical punishment, or control through fear of social ostracism. I wonder if in our society if we are in limbo somewhere in between where we don’t want to have harsh punishment, but there are not enough societal pressures to keep people following the rules. It is a scary place to be.
