  1. I bought a new 512 several years ago and broke it a few weeks after the purchase. It was my fault (I bent the battery compartment latch all the way forward and cracked it). I contacted customer service, explained what I did, and asked to purchase a new one. They mailed out two new levers and a couple of roll pins at no charge (just in case I did it again). Excellent customer service.
  2. I have a SWFA super sniper 20x42 on mine. Initially I mounted it with burris steel rings. One of them broke with less than 50 rounds. I re-mounted with badger rings and have had no problems since.
  3. Would like to attend if possible. How long is the range. Any limitation on ammo (steel, tracer, apit) or caliber (pistol, rifle, 50BMG).
  4. Empire Arms Home Page Send a signed copy and get on the email list.
  5. That looks nice. Have you shot a regular 41? I would be interested to hear a comparison of the two.
  6. Don't forget to keep an appropriate supply of paper stockpiled (at least enough for a year).
  7. I only use energizer lithium in mine and I always pop them out before putting it in the safe. I have dealt with customer service before and they were very good. I broke the aluminum battery compartment lever (my fault). They sent me 2 new levers and roll pins at no charge. I guess they figured if I did it once, I would do it again.
  8. I borke the battery compartment lever off my eotech (It was my fault). When I called tech support and told them how I broke it, they sent me 2 replacements at no charge.

    8mm Mauser

I have typically seen the caliber marked on the barrel, not the reciever.
  10. With a shortened and threaded barrel, it makes a fun platform for a suppressor.
  11. I have two of these in my 50BMG bolt gun. I pressed them into the billet aluminum stock when I was machining it. I do not know if it helps or not as this is a 20+ pound rifle. I still feel recoil, but at this level every little bit helps.
  12. 15 or 20 years ago my drving test was to drive around the building. That was it.
  13. Try Predator Custom Shop here in Knoxville. Bob should be able to take care of you.
  14. A low budget simble way is to make a small loop of paracord. You remove the pistol grip and loop it around the stud that the pistol grip mounts to. Replace the grip squeezing the paracord between the grip and the frame. Make sure the loop comes out from under the grip to the rear of the gun. If necessary you can notch the back of the grip where it comes out to get everything to seat flat. You attach your sling to this. Quick, easy, cheap and quiet. I have done this on an ak pistol before and assume that it wil work on an AMD-65.
  15. I shoot left handed. The only thing that I have added for this is an ambidextrous safety. Everything else is easy enough to manipulate on an AR shooting lefty.
  16. Single shot 50 BMG. Fired a few rounds and removed hearing protection while checking targets. Went back and fired the next round (without hearing protection). My ears rang for days.
  17. Anything except the 9th & 10th. This is the Knob Creek Machinegun Shoot weekend.
  18. On my car I usually get 10,000 to 12,000 miles.
  19. I have done this several times with a suppressed Walther P22 with no problems.
  20. On a full auto the suppressor will get hot enought to melt right thru a blue tarp. Also a pop-up canopy when shooting in the rain. The melted plastic is difficult to remove from the suppressor. I have not tried wraps. I usually carry a pair of heavy leather work gloves. These allow the suppressor to be removed while hot. As long as they have no liners, you can also drop it into one if you need to carry it hot.
  21. I got mine before the magpul edition was out. Great fun. I have had no problems so far. The flash hider was very tight. I had to use heat to remove it. Works great suppressed.
  22. I got one a month or so ago with the flash hidder. Works great with a suppressor.
