That looks like Toby Keith. If so, he'd probably shoot that in a revolver.
-
I saw 4 does. Didn't shoot one as there are two fresh scrapes where I'm hunting.
-
There was a small buck in my front yard this evening when I took the dog for a walk.

I’m a hillbilly, so you probably don’t want to move near me.
-
Ummm NO!

I’ve a CZ52. It’s a hoot to shoot!

There's always something exciting happening up here in Lafayette.

It looks like the wind will lighten up overnight, and I don't have anything pressing at work tomorrow, so I think I'll finally give it a go in the morning.

It won't be popular, but instead of worrying about keeping guns away from those with severe mental problems issues, I think it's time to consider keeping these folks away from public. What scares me is the opportunity to politicize what constitutes mental problems.

...nor easy to come by.

A converted muzzie according to some reports.

You're closer to the truth than I was I think. I wanted to blame it on hate and Godlessness, but didn't think that would be too popular.

I don't know how to stop this, but am willing to do my part if someone comes up with a sound solution. I've seen more than enough. http://www.smobserved.com/story/2017/11/05/news/texas-church-shooter-is-in-southerland-springs-tx-is-identified-as-devon-patrick-kelly/3188.html Not sure how valid this is..... https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/dems-renew-calls-for-gun-control-in-wake-of-texas-church-shooting/ar-AAutIkF?li=BBnb7Kz ....and it didn't take long for these SOBs to spring into action.

Prayers for the victims and their loved ones. I've seen enough of this. Anybody got any ideas how to put a stop to it? The common theme I see is mental illness left untreated. Perhaps I'm wrong, but that's what I see.

The 14 American IS a high polish blue. The wood has a low sheen finish, but is very nice. Mine has the fancy trigger. I personally do not care about the removable magazine, but that would be my only complaint. The one I have is chambered for 250-3000 Savage, but I think they make them in chamberings you'd be interested in as well. You won't go wrong with a Super grade. They are awesome! They made a limited edition of them a while back in 7x57. I still keep an eye out for one.

My father picked this Colt Woodsman up somewhere. It had a busted stock. He made these stocks out of a piece of scrap walnut he had lying around. I told him he did a great job on the stocks (Colts don't have grips), I guess he remembered, and later gave it to me as a birthday present. As you can see, he put a lot of work into them.

A matte finish on a high end gun isn't the same as a bead blasted WalMart special. I wouldn't get too hung up on shiny until I saw them in person. Too much of a gloss finish looks cheap and greasy to me. The Savage 14 American Classic is a handsome rifle by any standard. So is a Winchester 70 Featherweight. A pre 64 Winchester has a matte receiver with polished blue barrel and bottom metal, and a matte stock. A post 64 Classic model 70 featherweight has polished blue metal and a matte stock with a beautiful fluer de lis checkering and graceful schnable fore end. The Model 14 American Classic Savage also has high polished metal with a matte wood with an ebony end cap.

It's gonna be nearly 80 degrees tomorrow, and hotter than that Sunday. I think I'll wait til it cools up a bit.

The Germans I've met have been solid, hard working no nonsense folks. I guess ther are bums everywhere.

If God made anything better than a good dog, I guess he kept it for himself. So sorry to hear this.

Logical thought seems to elude liberals.
