  1. I'm guilty! Earlier today I picked up all of the 9mm Blazer brass that was in the local walmart. Dept Manager mentioned that they were going direct to regain supply.
  2. I've owned both and much prefer the 870. 870 design allows for extended mag tube. 500 does not. I'd suggest finding an old 870 (not express) cutting the barrell to 18.5" and add a speedfeed IV stock. finish it out witht the oven bake parkerize and you'll be set. I run this setup and like it a lot.

    Taurus PT99B

I've owned a stainless PT99 since the day before assault weapon ban. Its never had a single malfunction. Accuracy is very good. Fit and finish were on par with my beretta. I think you can pick one up for $500 or less. Check out academy.
  4. so, what are the scope options for this rifle?
  5. Seriously, Heritage is total crap. Taurus is very well built. If taurus is below your standards, there's no way in hell you should be looking at revolvers that retail for less than $500.
  6. I carry a SS 605 a lot. Its secondary to my XD9 subcompact. The 605 is very nice revolver. Accuracy surprises most. I had an SS 85 for years. I traded up to .357 for no particular reason.
  7. Thanks guys. I wasn't aware that some of these pistols existed. The S&W sounds pretty interesting. I looked around over the weekend, but did not find much. I'll post a wanted ad on TGO. Thanks Again,
  8. OK, I really want an auto. I'm not too familiar with NAA, so I wasn't sure if they made a .22 pistol or not. I was only familiar with their single action revolvers. They are cool, but not what I am looking for.
  9. ok, sounds like the taurus and beretta may be ok. I'm not really looking for a range gun, since I have a SS ruger mk-II that's about perfect for that application. I'm mainly looking for a pistol to keep in my pocket for defensive purpose (not all human). I have a snub .357 and XD-9 subcompact that are my carry choices.
  10. I picked up a some from the Rabbi. It is accurate & reliable. Can't say i have any first hand wound or stoppage reports to share.
  11. Guys: I'd like to pickup another .22cal pistol. I'm looking for a very small, all metal, quality pistol that is reliable. I'd prefer stainless. I like the beretta tomcat and taurus pt-22, but have heard bad things about reliability. Does anyone have other suggestions?
  12. Joe: What's your opinion of the keltec build quality? I'm planning to buy a .308 semi-auto. I was leaning towards the SA Socom m1a, PTR or DPMS AR. Where the Keltec fall on your list???

    Kel Tec Rifle?

You forgot the Lebel. They were the original "clip" fed rifle. I believe it was also the first to have military use of smokeless powder and boat tailed bullets. http://www.surplusrifle.com/shooting2005/frenchrifles/index.asp

    LCP 380

what's a decent price? Gander Mtn wants $349, but they are always way overpriced. By the way, the know it all guy at Gander Mountain said that the LCP is made on keltec equipment purchased by Ruger. Is there any truth in the pistols sharing genetics?
  15. I was also thinking that the .375 Ruger would be a great piece. Also, I think CDNN had a .378 Steyr a while back for cheap. I'd still prefer teh Ruger.

    ruger mini 30

I'm not sure if that's a deal. I think I paid same for mine new. ALso, the 30rnd mag is likely to worthless. Mine will not feed anything about 10 rnds.
  17. I'd bet that the bar and hotel are different business entities, but legal tests can be a bit tricky on hotels. I've heard that the permit that allows "room service" for "on premise" consumption puts full service hotels in a precarious situation regarding carry permits.
  18. I've missed 6 months of these things, so I'll try to be there.
  19. I think $450 is about right.
  20. Guys: I had a last minute change in schedules, so it looks like I am in. Also, I hope that I can talk Scarabatwork in as well. He's still not fired the AR that he built!!
  21. Glock! BEcause they are perfection. Actually, I carry and XD-9 subcompact or a stainless snub .357.
