  1. Guys, I Want to pull scope and return to peep sites for my .44mag 1894. I had williams wgrs sites before. I liked they initially, but later disliked. I want something that is well made and fits the character of a lever action.
  2. They are mostly same. AR is railed version. here is a cheat sheet from another post. AF - (1985 -present) Ambidextrous Safety model of PT92/99 with Firing pin block. Also, magazine release button was relocated from the bottom of the grip to the current behind the trigger guard position. AF-S (1991 -present) Stainless slide and matching alloy frame version of "AF" AF-D (1991 -present) Three position manual safety/de-cocker version of “AFâ€. (Current designation for all PT92 variants). Note: marked simply "AF" AF-D (1991-1997) DAO version of PT92, no safety/ decocker lever AR - (200? -present) Accessory Rail version of PT92/99/100/101. Note: not all guns are marked AR
  3. FYI http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_89/976339_WTS_Taurus_PT92_99_Magazines.html
  4. Also, watch the classifieds on ar15.com. I have picked up and sold a lot of Taurus mags there.
  5. That's pretty much how we made. We used verythin sheet brass from model airplane hobby shops. The thin brass was put inside .22 for more sound.
  6. I have a stainless pt99 (same model with adj sights). It's a great pistol. Any beretta 92 holster will fit, but grips will not. If you want wood grips, checkout eBay. There is a Guy in Thailand that makes awesome rosewood grips for a nice price.
  7. I love that wood. I picked up a socom. Need to swap out the plastic for some walnut.
  8. How much are they running? I need a wood and blue model.
  9. Guys, I need to pickup a 10/22. Are the walmart and academy models really built differently? Just trying to understand the $75-100 difference in price.
  10. Hey recently had a 40%off lowest price. I stacked up.
  11. I made those as a kid. We used a .223 and a .22lr.
  12. I have a contour. It works great for the auto events. Not so sure about daily use.
  13. Same here. I picked mine up last month. PS: just rememberd you were looking to buy a couple of weeks ago. Did you pickup the last SOCOM cdnn had on sale?
  14. I love that wood. I need to swap out my plastic!
  15. Have ou done anything yet. I am needing same for my socom.
  16. FYI, I have a Ruger m77 mk-I in 25/06. I have killed more than 100 deer. Many were large quite large. Several were UT mule deer. I have never missed a shot and never had a deer take a single step. My 7mag, .308 and 30/30 cannot make such a claim. Ive even shot two deer with 12 gauge slugs appoint blank range and they've taken steps. I truly believ there is something almost magical about the ballistics.
  17. FYI, 20% ROIC is not normal or expected even in the garden state. What a joke.
  18. Guys, There is a new magazine hitting the news stands now that is named Recoil. Recoil - Coming March 2012 Looks like a quality mag based on gun lifestyle.
  19. Funny pic. Looks like my Weimaraner when he stole my European mount a few years ago.
  20. I say 10/22. Others are novelties. I Like my sub, but it is not a keeper. The MP is tacticool but not sure it would be a keeper either.
  21. If you are speaking to me, i am on the distribution side, so the answer would be "almost any magazine that you can think of".
  22. As someone in the magazine industry, I ask you to buy from your grocery, mass merchant or drug store retailer. But, should you subscribe, look at Discount Magazine Subscriptions & Deals | Magazines.com. They are TN local company and have great values. They have a great deal on both titles in a combo. HerE is entire category. Outdoor Magazine Subscription Discounts & Deals | Magazines.com
  23. I have a mini30. It has never jammed ever. It shoots Russian and Chinese ammo. 100yd accuracy with same is about 3". It is very picky on mags.
  24. My wife just bought a membership for 1/2off on groupon or one of the other web sites
