they let you order it from the factory? I thought you just had to go to a participating dealer like the gssf (law enforcement pricing) program. Thats cool, is it cheaper than le pricing?

Do they welcome spectators? I'd like to watch one of their idpa events. I'll probably start shooting in them maybe as soon as May.

Fiber optic sights and the glock
jeremy155rr replied to jeremy155rr's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Now i'm confused, novaks site said something about the slide having to be machined to accept their front sight (don't know which one, I assumed all of them). Brownells site did not mention it and when I blew up the pic it appeared to be similar to the rest of the front sights that fit in glocks. -
Anyone have any feedback on f/o sights for a glock? I've been looking at some for competitive shooting but can't narrow anything down. I don't want any adjustable ones just fixed. I looked at warren-sevigny and didn't like the looks too well, plus it appeared the blade was extemely high. I really liked the looks of the novaks but they said the glock would have to be machined to accept the front f/o sight. How about mixing and matching, I hear alot of people do it but i'm afraid they would be different heights etc... What do you like to use?

I sent my p238 in for a small cosmetic defect, their sending me a new gun!

I've never had any problems out of my arsenal saiga, and I have a friend that shoots predominantly hps out of his bulgy just because their fun to shoot trash with. Of course (and this is a generalization based on my limited ak experience) I've never seen an ak that didn't cycle reliably.

looks like I will have new pics up soon...I was expecting the healthy return of my sig this week or next but had no idea what they would do. New frame, try to fix it somehow and refinish (didn't think so). Nope, they e-mailed me yesterday asking where to send my entirely new gun to!

anyone else thats going notice that their cards haven't been charged yet? Wonder if it was just a 'reserve a spot' thing or if it will bill it, or if you'll have to pay there.... -
First of all, look at when they are open... am I missing something, open 6 days a week but listing hours for seven? http://www.thegunny.com/indoor-range-i-54.html?osCsid=15080d14b79e2696c80c7992f3ad1145 Second...18 friggin dollars! It used to be 15 and 5 for a second person. What are they trying to do, make their high membership price sound/look enticing? I've been there and was actually considerering going tommorow to convenience someone else I was going to shoot with. I ain't paying $18 to shoot anywhere.

This one is super nice - http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/firearms-classifieds/36572-feeler-taurus-pt1911-extras.html

It does have good reviews, but I (personally) would stay away from 1" tubes. The Vortex line has some good prices on 30mm tubes with the same specs. 199 for exact same specs and 219 for the illuminated reticle. http://swfa.com/Vortex-6-24x50-Crossfire-30mm-Rifle-Scope-P13295.aspx Glad you posted that though, never looked at those. Oh, and feel free to order me one of those rifles...i'll be sure to pay you back:D

2nd Amendment Does Not Apply to States
jeremy155rr replied to ukerduker's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
How many law degrees does one need to figure out that 99.9% of gun violence is committed by criminals who don't 'legally buy' guns in the first place therefore they 'the criminals' would have no problems with bypassing their 'licensing requirements'. -
Nice! You went ahead and ordered mine right?

Got curious after seeing this, I posted earlier it looked like a lone wolf slide so I checked out the laser engraving section of their site and these are pretty funny imo:

Midland Plaza, in the wing perp to the Rush, beside the Karate place. Someone said there was a new one in the Eagleton area somewhere, think they said it was called Smokey Mountain Firearms, i'll have to check that one out.

https://www.glocktraining.com/Reg1.aspx?classid=100594 ^thats the sign up link, shows the requirements. If your not LE, current or retired military, vendor/dealer, or gssf member I don't think you can sign up for it. Cost is $150, 8hrs, lunch provided. -
hmm, that sounds cool. Is there a class schedule online somewhere, what did it cost?

I'll take a stab at this even though I haven't been to alot of these places. Bills Outpost: New, guy running the shop when I was there was very nice and friendly, excellent prices on what they had. I have a good feeling about them. Farnsworth Firearms: I use them to do practically all of my transfers because they are very close and I get a kick out of their shop. They always seem to have some oddities in there as well, a buddy of mine said he saw a red 9 in there one day but passed on it:slap:. The Bob's are very nice and easy to deal with, the other guy i've dealt with in there isn't very nice at all but his attitude entertains me. Alot of their used guns are extremely overpriced (no idea why) but their new guns are very well priced. I wouldn't hesitate to let them order me something and their range is cheap!!! $5 and a free target! Gunnys: Haven't been there in a while, but when I first visited some of the folks were super, liked to help alot. The prices were insane on guns though. Range is overpriced, membership is overpriced, and current staff i'm not too sure about. CCA: Haven't really done any business there since it was GunCraft back in the day (6-7 years ago) and back then the staff didn't impress me. Some old man blessed me out for shooting my SELECT fire xd or glock (can't remember what I had at the time). I tried explaining to him that the guy at the end of the range appeared to have a select fire (burst fire) h&k or something and that my gun wasn't capable of that rate of fire. He said 'oh, it sounded like it was right here next to me' then he heard it again a went off on me. That being said, i've been there once since it was CCA and had my 1911 refinished. The guy I dealt with was awesome, very friendly...practically begged me to put my new grips on. Can't speak for prices didn't pay any attention to them. Bentons: WHAT A SELECTION! They literally have everything, huge showroom, higher prices than most but i've had nothing but excellent customer service experiences with them. I've been in Austins once, they seemed like great guys. Let me in about a half hour before they opened cause I had somewhere to be and let me check the guns out while they were getting them out of the vault. Didn't think they had much, but I probably didn't see everything either.

I didn't know you could even own a rifle... seeing they don't have a rifle season for hungting, its shotgun only. -
Does this Ensley's Shooting Supply actually have a storefront, i've never seen it but remember seeing the name on an ffl list somewhere. I'm in Louisville all the time but have never seen it.
