My FIL has me on a wild goose chase, for some reason he wants me to find a .22 Mag autoloader. I only know of two: the excel arms accelerator and the high standard amt's (which I can't find anywhere). Anybody know of any others, even not in production because if we did buy it would idealy be a used one. Don't ask me why he wants one...just does.

Savage as well as several other companies (i.e., Marlin, Ruger) make 'special' model firearms to sell at big time retail shops. For example, dicks sporting goods carries a real nice Savage Model 10FCXP but its not the LE model with scope and bipod thats on Savage's website and its not on their website at all... it most closely resembles the Model 10FP but its not it either. Its a fine rifle ($699) but is made specifically for Dick's sporting goods. Alot of the Marlin 336's you see at Walmart and Dicks's etc. aren't on the companies websites. To the OP it sounds like a good price and looks like a decent rifle. The .243 is a great round too. BTW lowbud, I recently grilled a Dick's Sporting Goods employee about this because of the rifle I mentioned and it having the same model number as the HE Preciscion stocked LE rifle on Savage's website... seemed like a good opportunity to let everyone know what I found out.

Don't know whats up with those prices, when they first came out they were around 425-480 and up to 550 for the nitron etc... buyers guides listed them for 550-600 which is normal for them to list higher in those things. That was then, sig msrp has went up quite a bit saw them listed for 599-749. I found one for 598 and thought that was a steal comparitively. Somebody has one for sale around here and wants 650 for it, I think its nitron...I think their dreamin

yeah its apparantly an older show. If you click on the link to the production company on that page with the video its listed in the library section. Tried to find info on dvd release of the seasons but was unsuccessful, I did pull up this on amazon - Amazon.com: Crime Strike Vol. 1: True Stories From the Armed Citizen: Wayne LaPierre: Movies & TV don't think its related though

I've posted most of these (not the pics) in various threads but got bored today and got everything out of the safe with the exception of an old winchester .22 i'm working on and two bolt action shotguns (storing for FIL). Slow connections beware!

Sometimes when i'm viewing TGO I sit and wonder if I actually know anybody on here. I mean, two of my actual friends are on my friends list in here but they don't get on TGO much. I've made some other friends from the site, but thats not what I'm talking about. I invited alot of my facebook friends to TGO and they 'became fans' of the facebook page, but I don't know if they made it on here or not. I really don't know if i'm trying to accomplish anything with this thread, just a waste of space maybe. Any TGO members Anderson County High alums?

Rossi 38 special revolver 149.99 @ academy sports
jeremy155rr replied to jeffmem's topic in Handguns
Pretty good looking deal. Not a pocket gun, maybe a bathroom gun -
I've been wanting a g26 to go with my 19 just for 'want'. I wear regular fitting blue jeans most of the time and can't even pocket carry my pf9, don't know how you guys do it.

my curiosity has been sparked? maybe its an attempt to keep people from setting up their own 'profitable' marketplace here on tgo...dunno about the legality of it but i'm intersted in hearing what the legal minds have to say.

March 2010 Guns & Gear Expo Canceled
jeremy155rr replied to TGO David's topic in Events and Gatherings
I like the floating option;) Especially if you were going to be doing several in a years span. West, central and east. I could make it to Chattanooga but I would'nt go to Nashville. However, if three were done Knoxville may be an option. -
^^I really enjoy reading your posts, words of wisdom and I-don't-give-a-dammidness. You see that, I made up that ultra-hyphenated phrase just for you!

I agree, I usually pay attention to grammar and try to limit run-on sentences etc... However, much of the time i'm using my cell phone at work or something and that is punishment enough.

i'm 28, got my permit when i was 21 and i could have swore they were posted when i first got mine, not legally though. they never had a picture of a gun or a law code. at one time i thought they just said something about no concealed weapons or something.

G26 vs G19 for CC - any difference
jeremy155rr replied to Joe86's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
i cc my g19 all the time and its fine, i always wanted a sub and when comparing the two side by side it just wasnt a big enough difference for me. went on glocks website and compared the dimensions, same width iirc the length diff was like 3.6 vs 4 and that dont sell me. add the pinky and their virtually the same to me. if someone say wanted to buy me one for my bday...i wouldnt turn up my nose but i personally wouldnt shell out the dough for one unless i had excess funds. -
id have to do some research but judging by looks alone....the 556 is a sig platform ar style rifle, no ar style charging handle etc...the 516 appears to be an ar15 with gas piston system. i like the 'newness' of the 556 as a combat rifle, but i know the ar15 so i would probably go with that one. the lower on the 516, i imagine, would be like that of any other ar15 so thats a plus spare part wise. that being said, if i were looking to buy a new rifle like the 556 (dmr is sweet) the sig would beat out the scar and acr on price alone. if i were looking to buy a gas piston ar, i dont know if the 516 would be my first choice, only because i dont know anything about it but the 516 does intrigue me and i will def. be taking a closer look at it.
