Best advice I've heard in as few words in a long time. Now I just gotta follow them.

I like it!!

Wish I'd said any of the above. My intelligence went up just reading it.

I've got this idea that I need a Smith and Wesson model 27 or 29.

Buy one or both. Sold a 629 last year and really regret it. So to ease the painful memories of loss--I've picked up a 637/642 and two 66 guns; a 4in and a 1 7/8in. I don't regret any of them and don't plan on selling. -
Great looking EBR! I'm envious...to the nth degree.

Jamie, I'll pray for you, you wife, daughter, and Bella. I've been in you situation and know how difficult a position this puts you in. I wish there was something I could do or say that would help. I had to put down my best friend during the first year of my cancer treatments and that was reallly hard. I can't personally prove it, but I believe that God who gave us companions like your Bella and my Cody, will take care of her. I have to believe that such creatures as these and the total uncondition love they give us, will be cared for. And we''ll see them again.

Tired of discussing politics and gays? Answer this then:

For me, in no particular order--a full auto M16 converted to 9mm. A 1929Thompson submachine gun. On the quieter end a High Standard Olympic in .22 short with a feather-lite trigger. Hmmm, on second thought, the Thompson was probably the most fun. -
Mike.357-----Clone of the fabulously intuitive thinker, Red Forman. Strel-----????? I'm still not convinced he's for real. Like Chumly on Pawn Stars; how could anyone be that imbecilic and be kept working in a pawn shop for seven years?

Rock-----Hard Place. Haslam-----McWherter.

Very Good Looking Pistola!! Great lines and that slide and finish are fabulous. Think it'll cost more than a PT1911?

Yeah, I'm gullible . I believed you too. But great ending.

Thanks to you all for your words of encouragement and praise. And yes to AE-35's comment our Lord does work thru doctors and nurses, I am living proof of that. I have met some wonderful examples of them. The staff of Sarah Cannon at Skyline Medical Center and at the primary facility at Centennial Medical. All great people. And as for nurses in general...I love them all. Especially the one I met 38 years ago--my wife.

Blue Bunny--the ammo with the tame name; but it sure isn't lame. I've shot John and He-who-mustn't-be named's ammo in 38/9/40/45. All of it is excellent. Very clean burning, left little residue to clean up. My personal fav is John's 185 loads for my short 45's. The "plinky" load 38 is great for getting wife or girlfriend into a 38 cal revolver. My wife didn't like to shoot most 38 rounds, but found these comfortable and doesn't bother her in the SW 637 like others.

Fogive me for shouting, but I'm in....REMISSIOM!!! Just got back in from Sarah Cannon Cancer Center...got my CT and PET scan results today. It's gone. I am officially in remission. My leukemia is gone. The lymphatic cancer and tumors are gone. I just want to shout, scream and laugh. Not to mention crying for a while too. I'm sorry, but I've got to say it. It's over. I'm in Remission. I couldn't bear to say the word for fear of it not happening. But, after 28 months of surgery, drugs, and radiation; I can say it now. For a while there, I didn't know if I'd be here doing this now or not. It's been quite a journey, long, hard and unpleasant, painfull and joyfull, and one I pray not to take again. It's been hard, the hardest thing I've ever done. But throughout it all, I've had help. I've had family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors beside me. And I want to thank them all...my work friends and customers, my GM who kept me on the company insurance plan just a little longer than Corporate liked; long enough to get threatened with his own job loss when the treatment cost really got high. Thank you and Bless you, RT. But most of all; my strong faithful wife who wouldn't let me get down and wallow in fear and pity; my late Mother, who never gave up, never stopped praying, and never left my side during treatments til her own health prevented her from geting out of bed and going with me. And then I think she prayed harder still. She wouldn't leave til we got a hopefull diagnosis. But she couldn't wait for today...she was called home to be with Dad, my Ma and Pa, and her God. But I know she saw and heard today. I know she was there. Just like the last one I have to thank here. So...Thank you Lord; for seeing me thru this trial, for loving family and friends, and giving me the chance to say all this. To thank You and all in my life now; the life I get to keep a little longer because of You. And to all reading this, I hope you are not offended by my story, every word is there for the purpose of Thanks to all involved. And because I felt this necessary to be told...for me, my wife, and Mom.

Good rational choice, Erik. I wish you luck in keeping to it. I said that some time ago. I'm sure you know firsthand from me how that went. But I totally agree about stockpiling extra ammo. It's one of the few commodities that has an unbelievable shelf life. I still have some of my Dad's milspec 45 surplus from Korea. Not much, but still shoots just like new 45 ball does.

Have been watching the BBC sci-fi series Primeval again. And watched Deja Vu again. It gets better each time I see it. For me the best Denzel Washington performance since Inside man.

Ok, that's three people who have heard of the Fabled HK4! Warbird, who had a good one; with myself and TNWNGR on the other side.

Perusing the news sources and thought this was funny.

Til I read the article, all sorts of possible injuries came to mind. The heel wasn't one I thought of. -
This place is better than daytime TV!!! Never know what'll blow next. I like it!!

Welcome in. You'll like it here...once the action starts. Verbal wars, scarcasam, and maybe a little knowledge flung around.

For you, Sgt.Joe. Very nicely done. A well said addition to this commentary. My heartfelt Thank You to you, glock23forme, and all our other active and former servicemen and women.

Hey, Mike I'm being nosey. What kind of revolver? I got an old S&W k-22 Combat Masterpiece that's chambered for the 22mag, and it's a real treat to shoot. And with the 4" barrel, it's a real tackdriver. Unfortunately, I can't drive tacks with it. It's a much better shot than I am.

Glad to know there were and are some good ones out there. Can't remember the name of the shop, but the owner was Bill Harton, I believe. At the time, I remember him having purchased quite a few of them from a Georgia importer and distributor. Seems like I paid $75-100 for it in pretty used condition. I guess just a classic example of a well-used firearm at the end of its lifespan. Anyway, it was a novel piece and gives me an interesting note to add here.

Quite the contrary. I like and own several of those old-fashioned and obsolete wheel guns. I even carry one on occasion. Why just last week I even bought a 637 for my wife. It's those chunky, oversize and overweight, load finiky autoloaders that are looked down on here. And I even got a few of those too.
