  1. I could and would say a lot but three people; Mark@sea , TGODavid , and Macguyver have said it very well and I am in total agreement with the sentiments each. This is a free society, at least for now, and jth-,3s has his ability and right to express an opinion. I absloutley disagree with it and think that his presence here should at least indicate a degree of understanding as to where the exteme liberal left is taking this country. With the "fairness doctrine" absurdity and attempts to extend that to internet communications as well and couplied with the attempts to regulate how we speak by defining "hate speech" as anything percieved to make someone "uncomfortable", tripling if not quadrupling the defiect, enacting spending programs that will severly increase the taxes of the entire population, not to mention attempts in the works to increase the tax rates that will surely cripple the "mom and pop" small business that have been the financial backbone of progress in this country, making unilateral decisions that will by back-door diplomacy (ala Hillary and the so-called State Department) cede our national soverinty to the righteous, honorable, and totally trustworthy U.N. , and of course the 2nd Ammendment issues... How can we all not think this new President isn't light-years better than President Bush? How can we be so blind and uncaring for how unpopular America is in the rest of the world for having a sense of honor and wishing to retain our way of life. How can we be so insensitive as to believe that our religon shouldn't be allowed the same freedoms that are demanded by Muslum clerics? How could we have the gall to expect to carry our Bible into another country and expect to be able to even talk about it? So much more, but my indignation is moderating. I'm not as eloquent as others here and sorry to take so much of your time reading this, but I can't truly believe that we are so much better off with President Oboma (Yes, I called him President. I do respect the office if not the oficeholder) than we were with President Bush. I can't believe that we're all just going to be one big happy family under this administration.
  2. If that dosen't make you misty-eyed, how can you say you truly appreciate our servicemen?
  3. Try ammoman.com, not the greatest brand selection, but prices include shipping. I've been pleased with them for over a year.
  4. Background please? I'm not familiar with them. I'm sure others of us would like to know as well.
  5. I've had some sporadic problems too. Sometimes when I click on pm the page changes and tells me the token has expired and to reload the page.

    Kimber or SA?

For what it's worth, about:2cents:, I traded into a used SA Lightweight Loaded Champion Operator. It's a commander size with 4'' barrel. I absolutely love it! Great shooter, extremely accurate, and once I found my favorite load for it, it has become my favorite of four 1911 45's. The only issue I've had with it was a weak extractor, but after, it was used with no known round count. I will not comment on Kimbers for I have no personal experiences with them. However, I have heard the comments concerning SeriesI/II pistols.
  7. As you have seen, opinions vary widely on Taurus handguns; mostly the two extremes--love them or hate them. I've owned 7 to date and still have three. Of those, 3 have been from the Millenium line-a 1st generation PT-145, a 2nd gen PT145, and a 2nd gen PT140 MilPro. I can honestly say I had no issues with any of them. The 1st gen 145 had the best trigger of all owned with the 2nd gen 145 being the most accurate of the three. All three were easy to shoot with I thought, little recoil from a small gun. A PT145 was my carry until I discovered the xd9sc, but that's another story. I won't say they are the best thing since the wheel, but I found them to be a very good quality at a more than reasonable price. Check out the site Taurus Semiautos for ratings and info from Taurus owners. All in all, I like them a lot and after firing 400/500 rounds thru one to break in and decide which ammo is best for you, I wouldn't be afraid to carry one; let alone buy one. I'm far from an expert on handguns, but if you'd like to ask me about any Taurus I've owned, just ask and I'll send my email address. I seem to be having problems with the pm system here.
  8. Anyone here tried ammoman.com? I've bought from them about 4 times and had good service. All their prices include shipping. Like most places, 380 is rare but most other calibers are coming back.

    BULL DOG

Ditto above comments on Charter Arms. Good quality revolvers.
  10. welcome to the world of 45. It can be a very interesting place.
  11. EXCELLENT!! SENDING THIS TO MY RIGHWING FANATICAL FRIENDS.

    kel tec p3at

Have had 2 Kel-tec pistols, still have the P32 and love it. Great little pocket gun. For many reasons hated and sold the Pf-9. I would highly recommend the 32 or the 380 for your wife. Because of the supply issues with 380, I'd go with the 32. I know there's a lot of different loads available but I've found the Privy Partisan 32 to be quite good. PACKS MORE WHALLOP Silvertip 32 rounds and gives much better penetration than the hollow point.
  14. Just another sign of the idocy running rampant in the extremely P/C liberals attempting to socialize this country. ( ...and dang near to completing it to.)
  15. Great PIstol! I've been drooling over an Ed Brown Kobra Karry for a while. Maybe soon.
  16. Welcome in! I wish my wife enjoyed firearms as much as the two of you. She will go out a couple of times a year, but doesn't seem to think the smell of gunpowder and Nitro 9 is a good aphrodisiac. Go figure.
  17. Great looking pistol! I'm glad you found such a pristine example of JB's classic masterpiece. I'm envious. I'd like another myself. Just missed on a 40 a few weeks ago. So I'll keep looking.
  18. Thanks for the recommendation. I recently sold a EAA Witness 45 and was thinking about the Elite.
  19. Hi, my name is Hipower and I am an addict. There. I said it. But it still hurts. Let's go shoot something!

    PPS, PF-9, or 709

Personal opinion--1 Taurus 709 Slim 2 PPS 3 PF9 First off, I like Taurus and have owned five or six and still have several. Solid , good shooters and fair prices. The PPS is a fine weapon, I just don't care for it; just not a good fit for me. I have a kel-tec 32 and really like it. Bought a PF9 and really hated it. Terrible trigger, not as accurate as I'd hoped it would be, and really uncomfortable to shoot. If you put 50 rounds thru it in one session, you'll really dislike it. I know the 709 Slim is very new and there seem to be some complaints about them, but I find it very easy to hold shoot and carry. An at $400, it's quite reasonable. Nice rounded corners and smooth sides make it a good carry. But if you are uncomfortable with a new design, might I suggest looking at a used 3rd gen PT111/140/145. Only slighty larger, more rounds and usually can be had in the $250-300 price range. Or better yet, the Springfield XD9sc. High capacity mags, same size as the PT series and unbelievably accurate and comfortable to shoot. I bought one for my wife and she does quite well with it. But this is all subjective. Go with whatever you decide fits your hands and needs best. And good luck with whatever you select for your HC class.
  22. Absolutely Georgeous! I got into 1911 45's in the last few years and have 4 now. Perhaps it's time for another.
  23. BEST--G&L/Outpost/Eastside -- for all the usual reasons; inventory, service, pricing WORST--Uselton's/Franklin Gun/Gun City-- again, for the reasons we all know about
