2nd Amendment Rally in Sevierville, Feb 23
TSprint1 replied to runco's topic in Events and Gatherings
Did I mishear or did Niceley not say that Ms Maggert did not do anything wrong and that the efforts to unseat her were wrong? Did he not say that the NRA and specifically LaPierre and Cox were both democrats and never do anything to support republicans? Like I said, I'm still processing all I heard but I firmly believe that our problems are both in Nashville and Wash DC. Harris said that the current parking lot bill did nothing to protect us from either being fired or from criminal prosecution. I would have been more comfortable if Niceley had at least rebutted that. I am not really into arguing and I am neither a democrat or republican but I really wish that the entire rally had been taped, at least for posting on the net. I do not believe that either democrats or current republicans are our friends. -
2nd Amendment Rally in Sevierville, Feb 23

I was in the area on business so I decided to stay over a day and attend the rally. Not having ever attended one before I thought the turnout was really good. Everyone seemed to be in a really good mood and respectful of the speakers and other attendees. I am still mulling over the speeches given by John Harris, TFA, and State Senator Frank Niceley. I was stunned by the difference in the content and tone of the speeches given by those two guys. Am I confused or did Niceley tell us exactly what the Republican controlled legislature in Tennessee is really about? Was anyone else there? :stunned: :stunned: :stunned: -

If you are even considering going Non Profit I would recommend that you talk to/engage a lawyer that has extensive Non Profit experience. I have sat on a couple of Non Profit boards and there are a lot of pitfalls that you need to steer clear of. Ass-ume nothing where Non Profits are concerned. :pleased: -

Yes website. I tried to copy and post the link but didn't work. -
Kinda pricey but I'm sure it won't last long.

I bought a 1978 model in excellent shape with a really nice sling and a Simmons 3x9 scope for $300 FTF last summer. For the year and condition I would say that was a really good price. I took the scope off and put a peep on it. I have a couple of other 39A's, all prior to 1980, and they all shoot great.

Looks like the Navy did offer early retirement to some folks that were not selected for retention but who had at least 15 years active service: http://www.military.com/military-report/navy-early-retirement-guidance I doubt that the Navy SEAL qualified for that program. I have some friends that retired from the Navy with 18 years active. They said that they got extra credit for time at sea and were transferred to the retired reserve for two years... to complete their 20. Don't know if they still have that program or not. -
First rifle I ever bought was a Remington 572 Fieldmaster. Bought it at B.F. Myers furniture store in Goodlettsville, TN. Was that almost a yard sale?

"My old Pappy use to say, son, when you don't understand some reasoning, just follow the money..." Or quest for control/power. TWRA thinks we are here for them not them for us.

Better hurry if you want any.

There's no way they're gonna have the same physical standards for men and women. Tried that with the advent of VOLAR and it fell flat on it's face. Too many politics involved. Take a look at the current army pt test requirements - http://usarmybasic.com/army-physical-fitness/apft-standards If they do standardize them for both sexes, just as soon as "too many females" start failing pushups (as an example) because of the "lack of upper body strength" they'll have two standards again. I am not against having two different qualifications.....just don't lie and say you're not going to do that. There are very few MOS's that have a different pt test score requirement, SF and Ranger (ASI) immediately come to mind, but we'll see. (Lowering the male requirements may also be an option that they will look at). Looks like it's straddle the fence time again. -
I don't believe you have to worry about any liberals coming to get either you or your guns.....they're too yellow to have any courage of their convictions.....but you might want to be ready for those jack booted thugs that they would love to send in their place.

Goodman's Gun Show - Nashville - 1/12-1/13
TSprint1 replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in Events and Gatherings
I went by the boat show first then drove by the fairgrounds around 12:00. Vehicles, waiting to get in, were stretched from the parking booth down the hill and down Wedgewood Ave for at least 1/8th mile. The line, waiting to pay to get in the building, was stretched down the hill and then east along most of the Creative Arts building. I may try again tomorrow am but if it is like today I seriously doubt if either me or my AR will get out of the truck. If that crowd had been at the boat show they probably would have closed the convention center down. Drove by the Reloaders Bench on the way home....he needs a larger parking lot. What's going on right now is amazing. -

Bank of America Jumping on the Band Wagon

I stopped dealing with BOA many years ago, however, I did not know until recently that VISA card was essentially started by BOA and the Bank Islam: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_Inc. Reckon there's still a connection? :tinfoil: I haven't had a VISA card in many years either. Terrible service. -
They may be headquartered in North Carolina but they're acting like they are still in San Francisco: http://www.examiner.com/article/bank-of-america-to-gun-maker-we-believe-you-should-not-be-selling-on-internet Think this will make the Tennessean?

Was chatting with my wife about maybe taking a NIB Bushmaster to the show tomorrow am. She actually said "Can I carry it around?" I haven't been able to find a emoticon that would come close to describing what must have been the look on my face although this one might come close: :stunned: -
